This theoretical study deals with interconnecting learning tasks of art education with the parent discipline of art education (that is, with the artistic field as defined by Pierre Bourdieu, 1996), while reflecting on the quality of art lessons in the Czech Republic. The authors draw on current theoretical and empirical research of quality that identifies individual quality factors. The most salient factors are the connection with the artistic field and the resulting ability of conceptual integration, together with curricular normativity, the intentional work of the teacher with educational content, characteristics of teaching such as the support of divergence, creative approaches, associativity, imagination, reflection, searching for intersections between pupils’ experience and the content of the subject, etc. The text also emphasises the fact that judgement on the quality of learning tasks should be based only on ontological-didactic and psychological-didactic aspects. The former relate to the cultural and artistic context of learning tasks, that is, the current values in the field of visual culture and the artistic field, while the latter consider the personal characteristics of each and every pupil.

In my article I focus on the connection between the artistic and social spheres, the transcendence of art education into therapy and I will briefly mention the structure of art education with a focus on theatrical pedagogy in the Czech Republic. I divided the article into theatrical pedagogy in practice for younger school age, teenage and youth, adults and seniors, and the following areas: a) Theatrical pedagogy in the structure of the Czech educational system and as a part of leisure activities and Drama education as a subject for future teachers. In this part I shortly present what drama education / theatrical pedagogy in the Czech school system means and I draw the introduction on the studies and ideas of prof. Mgr. Jaroslav Provazník, who leads the Department of Drama in Education at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague; b) The potential of nonverbal theatre techniques in communication with specific groups and theatre pedagogy in the context of integration and inclusion; c) Pedagogy of substitute subjects – performativity of objects. In this section I present a personal description of one five-year cycle with “object workshops” – drama education: empirical research, comparison, development of methodology of working with the subject in the context of drama education.

Research background: In theory, indebtedness of municipalities is only ever associated with the acquisition of investments. It is advised that indebtedness should be regulated by the state, but there is a risk of limiting investment in local infrastructure. Purpose of the article: According to Act No. 23/2017 Coll., municipalities must regulate their own indebtedness and comply with the fiscal rule on pain of penalty. The aim of this text is to provide an analysis and examine the prospects of compliance with the fiscal rule in 205 municipalities with extended power. The analysis is carried out between 2017 and 2019, the risks of compliance in the following years mainly relate to the emerging economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: Given the subject of the analysis, secondary data was used for the research. Data was taken from the Monitor database operated by the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic. The obtained data had been processed using standard statistical methods. Findings & Value added: To date, the indebtedness of municipalities with extended power is not excessive: the mean and median values are still well below the legal limit. Still, there are some municipalities where the legal limit has been exceeded, or whose indebtedness is nearing the limit. In the event of reduced tax revenue, which is to be expected in the coming years, these municipalities will struggle to comply with the fiscal rule. The consequences will include halting or limiting local investment, and/or reducing the quality of local public goods.

Abstract: This article analyzes the implicit theories of ESO students in relation to Art Education and, in particular, to the subject Visual Arts that represent an obstacle in the learning of this. For this, a qualitative research has been designed using as instruments of data collection the participant observation in the plastic classroom daily for 4 months and the content analysis of several graphic-plastic activities carried out by the students. The sample is composed of all students of the 3rd year of ESO in an institute in the center of Oviedo divided into 5 groups (88 students in total). The information recorded in the field diary is analyzed through a system of categories that includes the motivation of the participating students before the subject, the self-concept and self-efficacy beliefs of the participating students, the quality of the graphic-plastic productions and other perceptions of the environment. The results of the research show that, although the students in general value and show interest in the subject, there are several implicit theories related to certain myths that are associated with Art Education. This detection of preconceptions in our area allows us to carry out a later, more extensive investigation, to modify these preconceived ideas and facilitate their learning of our students in the artistic field. Keywords: secondary education, implicit theories, Artistic Education, self-efficacy, motivation, art.

The relationship between the terroir and the quality of grapes and/or wines is used in wine authenticity determination based on geographical origin. The phenolic compounds in grapes and wines are probably related to the terroir. The subject of the study was the analysis of 43 wines of the cv. Riesling from six wine-growing sub-regions, 16 different localities and four vintages to determine the content of trans-resveratrol, trans-piceid, cis-resveratrol and cis-piceid. The analyses were performed using an HPLC method. A relationship was observed between trans-resveratrol concentration in wines and wine-growing locality. The concentration of trans-resveratrol ranged from 0.04 to 0.82 mg/l with mean concentration of 0.28 mg/l. The highest concentrations of trans-resveratrol were found in wines from the localities Podmolí (0.66 mg/l), Hostěradice (0.64 mg/l and 0.82 mg/l), Mělník (0.59 mg/l) and Litoměřice (0.57 mg/l). Differences were also found in the relationship between trans-resveratrol and wine-growing sub-regions. Relationships between trans-piceid, cis-resveratrol or cis-piceid concentration and wine terroir were not demonstrated. The results of this study demonstrated the capability to differentiate the wine terroir using the trans-resveratrol concentrations.

Universities face the challenge of constantly improving the quality of higher education and changing the learning behaviour of students, from passive reactive learning to active self-regulated learning. Learner-centred, constructively designed learning tasks offer a great opportunity here. This paper investigates to what extent the learning process is challenged by these learning tasks, and how these tasks are perceived by the students, using a before and after survey of students studying at bachelor level in business courses at a German university. The paper starts with a short description of constructivism in the context of task design and the main characteristics of learner-centred, constructivist-orientated learning tasks: openness to problems, situation orientation, openness to solution paths, and degree of difficulty. Then the research method used is outlined before the findings are presented. The before and after survey shows that despite an increased complexity and workload, the motivation to deal with topics on the subject remained stable.

The article is a result of the collaboration between Polish and Czech scientists who explore academic teachers’ application of resources from the e-learning environment. The presented studies were conducted in 2015-2016 within the IRNet project – International research network for study and development of new tools and methods for advanced pedagogical science in the field of ICT instruments, e-learning and intercultural competences in Poland (University of Silesia in Katowice, Faculty of Ethnology and Educational Science in Cieszyn) and the Czech Republic (University of Ostrava, Pedagogical Faculty). The research was aimed at learning the opinions of academic teachers on their preparation for distance classes and for the stimulation of students’ learning process. The research applied a constructivist perspective, which highlighted the learner’s activity resulting in the subject building their educational reality (in the educational process). Due to the comparative nature of the research, it invoked Harold J. Noah’s model of comparing the quality of University education. The text discusses cases of Poland and the Czech Republic.

The present research featured competitive strategy aimed at achieving different goals in professional activity of employees with different intensity of perfectionism. It resulted in a definition of perfectionism based on the role of personality orientation in competitiveness, the subject content of personality orientation, and available publications on the subject content of perfectionism, its types, and their relationship. The type of perfectionism depends on personal characteristics that manifest themselves in competitive environment. Therefore, perfectionist orientation shapes completive strategy in employees. The research involved 142 employees (112 women, 30 men) aged 19–62. The procedure for identifying various types of perfectionist orientation combined the type of perfectionism, achievement motivation, and cognitive attitudes. The paper also introduces criteria for distinguishing self-oriented and socially-oriented perfectionism. The main goal of competition strategy in subjects with self-oriented perfectionism was formulated as demonstration of individual work pattern, while in subjects with sociallyoriented perfectionism it was high quality of activity. The first appeared to be fuelled by the internal motivation and dependence on others. However, criticism and disapproval can affect the desire to achieve the goal. The second was fuelled by security reasons and resulted in actions aimed at retaining the achieved advantages. Both groups hardly saw colleagues as rivals.

This paper focuses on the understanding of service quality in the context of Vietnamese universities. It proposes an approach for measuring the quality of the higher education service provided by universities in Vietnam. Firstly, an exploratory study was conducted. Then, the set of items which were generated became the subject of a questionnaire that was then administered to 675 students of a Vietnamese university to determine the dimensions of higher education service quality in this context. The obtained results permit us to appropriate a measurement scale which is slightly different from the SERVQUAL scale widely known as the standard for measuring service quality. The results also show that tangible elements, responsiveness and assurance seem to be three specific dimensions of the higher education service of Vietnamese universities.
