The purpose of the paper is to present a scale to measure EFQM model application in any organization as an instrument. This paper will present a set of original information and tool for the Model users. A quantitative research strategy with SPSS uses to test the validity and reliability of the presented questioners. The EFQM model scale will guide and support future research lines in this field of management. A literature review from previous publications wasconducted. Many papers were selected and aspects related to the purpose. The suggested scale was tested with around 100 NGOs in the Middle East testing the EFQM criteria validity and reliability.The study result presents a clear scale and instrument help to measure the nine criteria presented as a main component for this model, and more furthermore a dozen lines of future research.

A systematic literature review (SLR) from 1991 to 2019 is carried out about EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) excellence model in this paper. The aim of the paper is to present state of the art in quantitative research on the EFQM excellence model that will guide future research lines in this field. The articles were searched with the help of six strings and these six strings were executed in three popular databases i.e. Scopus, Web of Science, and Science Direct. Around 584 peer-reviewed articles examined, which are directly linked with the subject of quantitative research on the EFQM excellence model. About 108 papers were chosen finally, then the purpose, data collection, conclusion, contributions, and type of quantitative of the selected papers are discussed and analyzed briefly in this study. Thus, this study identifies the focus areas of the researchers and knowledge gaps in empirical quantitative literature on the EFQM excellence model. This article also presents the lines of future research.

The European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) 2020 model is a comprehensive and updated business model that encompasses sustainability and shares features with Industry 4.0, emphasizing transformation and improved organizational performance, yet with different theoretical and practical foundations. This research highlights the EFQM 2020 model’s novelties and its relationships/implications with the Industry 4.0 paradigm, contributing to the Quality 4.0 body of knowledge. Several linkages between the EFQM 2020 model and Industry 4.0 have been identified, namely, at the criteria level and guidance points, which can support successful digital transformation by combining quality and excellence with Industry 4.0. However, given the model’s generic and non-prescriptive nature, there is no specific reference to the nine Industry 4.0 pillars. Additionally, the links between direction and organizational culture and leadership criteria and driving performance and transformation are not evident, which might be a concern for business and technology transformation strategies. Managing knowledge, skills, and capabilities is critical for the successful adoption of Industry 4.0. The EFQM model adds a strategic and technologically unbiased perspective to Industry 4.0, providing an integrated business excellence framework for Quality 4.0. With empirical support of the model application, future research is recommended to develop this subject further.

Purpose - Blended learning is rapidly emerging as a domain for practice and research. Across disciplines and contexts, at individual instructor and institution levels, educators are experimenting with the blended learning model of instruction. The current generation of learners have been referred to as ‘digital natives’ in reflection of their apparent ease and familiarity with digital technology. However, questions remain about how ready students are for a blended learning model of instruction. The purpose of the study was to investigate students’ readiness for a blended learning model of instruction in a leading Malaysian higher education institution. Methodology - The study employed a non-experimental quantitative research design. Data were gathered from a sample of 235 undergraduate and 131 postgraduate students using the Blended Learning Readiness Engagement Questionnaire (BLREQ). The data was analysed using the WINSTEPS Rasch model measurement software to determine the validity and reliability of the instrument. Differential Item Functioning (DIF) analysis was also used to identify responses based on students’ demographic profiles. Findings - Findings identified that students were ready for blended learning. Further analysis indicated that there were differences in students’ readiness for blended learning based on gender, age, ethnicity, field of study, and level of education. Significance - This study provides insights on students’ readiness towards blended learning, particularly in the Malaysian context, discusses implications for blended learning practices in higher education institutions, and offers recommendations for future research.

When embarking on this journey, the author had little expectation of finding the topics of validity and reliability to be so complex and convoluted or so interesting. This chapter helps to clear the air and communicate the concepts of validity and reliability more clearly. The challenges seem to include the wording used to introduce and describe the concepts along with the transformation of statistical equations over time and technology. What remains the same is the importance of knowing whether an instrument is valid and reliable. One of the most basic places to start with conducting a robust quantitative research project is to have valid and reliable instruments. This may involve creating your own instrument, using an established instrument, or modifying an existing instrument. This chapter takes a deep dive into the concepts of validity and reliability uncovering some of the cynicism and myths of these topics along the way. The ultimate goal is to communicate clearly so that future research can use the proper technique(s) and describe the output in a more uniform fashion.

Purpose: The present study is an attempt to explore the antecedents of behavioral intention to use artificial intelligence (AI) in recruiting talents by the HR professionals in Bangladesh. Drawing on the principle of the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT), which was built on the premise of technology acceptance model, the theory of planned behavior, the theory of reasoned action, and so forth, the current study has been conducted in the context of Bangladesh. Method: Building on the understanding of the deductive reasoning approach, the investigation followed the positivism paradigm via a quantitative research strategy. We collected 226 replies from the end-users of AI through a self-administrative survey. We used structural equation modeling (SEM) via SmartPLS. Results: Henceforth, the results in the findings filmed that all the hypotheses were supported. Implications: One of the important implications of the present study is the use of the intervention mentioned in this study for the manufacturing and service firms. Limitation: The major limitation is the use of cross-sectional data which implies that future research must use both cross-sectional and longitudinal data for the generalizability of the observed findings.

The Validity and Reliability of the scales used in research are essential factors that enable the research to yield beneficial results. For this reason, it is useful to understand how the Reliability and Validity of the scales are measured correctly by researchers. The primary purpose of this study is to provide information on how the researchers test the Validity and Reliability of the scales used in their empirical studies and to provide resources for future research. For this purpose, the concepts of Validity and Reliability are introduced, and detailed explanations have been provided regarding the main methods used in the evaluation of Validity and Reliability with examples taken from the literature. It is considered that this study, which is a review, will attract the attention of researchers.

Over the past decade, South African organisations have had to cope with an ever-increasing rate of local and global changes. There have been considerable and ongoing socio-political changes, resulting from new government regulations. Most organisations have experienced some type of downturn, whether due to external business factors or poor internal performance. A typical response to organisational decline is retrenchment. Our study sought to explore employees’ perceptions of the effects of retrenchment on job stress and organisational commitment in a mining company. The study was located within a quantitative research paradigm. Four research hypotheses were posited and data was collected in one region from a sample of 400 surface mining employees, including management, administrators, engineers and artisans. The results showed that the effects of retrenchment did not have a negative impact on job stress (time stress and anxiety). This may be due to the fact that the mining company in question had a planning and consultation process in place for the employees prior to the retrenchment process. The results also showed that job stress (time stress and anxiety) was negatively associated with organisational commitment. To conclude this article we discuss the implications of our findings, outline the limitations of our study and make recommendations for future research.

The current research investigates the impact of internal corporate social responsibility on job satisfaction in Jordanian pharmaceutical companies. Quantitative research design and regression analysis were applied on a total of 302 valid returns that were obtained in a questionnaire based survey from 14 pharmaceutical companies among employees, supervisors and managers. The results showed that internal corporate social responsibility was significantly related to job satisfaction and three of its dimensions, namely working conditions, work life balance and empowerment contributed significantly to job satisfaction, whereas employment stability and skills development had no contribution. This study implies that Jordanian pharmaceutical companies have to try their best to promote and facilitate internal corporate social responsibility among their employees in an effort to improve their job satisfaction, which will eventually yield positive results for the company as a whole. In light of these results, the research presented many recommendations for future research; the most important ones were the application of this study in other sectors, cultures, and countries, and using of multi method for collecting data.

This article aims to develop a short form of the locus of control scale. The study was conducted in two stages: a study of 66 respondents as pilot testing which aims to test content validity, structure validity, and internal consistency. Study 2 was conducted on 328 respondents used to test the validity and reliability of the scale evaluated by the PLS-SEM method (such as internal consistency, convergent validity, and discriminant validity). The analysis concludes that the 8-item locus of control scales tested have adequate validity and reliability. Many lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) persons are able to persevere and flourish despite pervasive social stigma and minority stress based on their sexual orientation and gender identity. This chapter reviews the research on LGBTQ resilience that can occur at individual, interpersonal/family, community, and contextual/structural levels. The authors describe qualitative research that has examined pathways to resilience and positive LGBTQ identity. The authors also review quantitative research on LGBTQ resilience via mediator, moderator, and moderated mediation models. Variables are described that have been found to explain or buffer the links between external and internalized minority stressors and mental health outcomes. The authors review the small but growing body of research that has begun to examine the efficacy of therapeutic interventions aimed at promoting LGBTQ resilience. Limitations are discussed and directions for future research are suggested.
