The research is a qualitative descriptive research, the purpose of this research is to analyze students reflective thinking ability in terms of learning style. learning style in this research consists of three types namely visual, auditorial, and kinestetik. The subjects of the study were class VIII in one of the middle schools in Serang district selected by purposive sampling. Based on the analysis results obtained description of students' reflective mathematical thinking ability as follows: (1) Visual students have been able to provide interpretation but not yet complete and correct calculation; (2) Auditorial and kinesthetic students are able to provide correct interpretation and calculation. (3) In identifying the concept, visual students have been able to identify the formulas, auditorial and kinesthetic students have not been able to. (4) In evaluating/checking the validity of visual and auditorial students is already capable while kinestetik yet. (5) In distinguishing between relevant data visual and auditorial students have been able, and kinesthetic students have not been able. (6) In drawing the analogy of two cases, visual, auditorial, and kinesthetic students have not been able to. (7) In harmonizing with reason, visual, auditorial and kinesthetic students have not been able.

This study aims to examine the improvement of student’s creative thinking ability of Class VIII on the material of two-variable linear equation system through open ended approach. This type of research is classroom action research. The method of this research is qualitative descriptive. This research was conducted on grade VIII-C student of SMP Darul Falah in the academic year 2017/2018 with 36 student. The instrument used in a student’s mathematical creative thinking test, cycle I and II test (after giving of action), and an observation sheet for teachers and students to conditions of action implementation. The result of this study indicate that the aspect of matehematical thinking creative ability of students has increased because of the problems tested in each test, the more students who score above the KKM. Based on the work indicator, it is concluded that the mathematical creative thinking ability of grade VIII-C students of SMP Darul Falah on two-variable linear equation system can be improved through open ended approach.

This study aims to determine the ability of mathematical creative thinking students who learn using the Problem Based Learning approach. The population in this study were students of SMP 1 Jatisari class VIII A in Sukamaju Village which consisted of 18 students and 12 female students. This study was a quasi-experimental study using the results of a trial test pretest-posttest experimental control group. The instrument used in this study is a test to measure mathematical creative thinking skills in the form of 5 questions. Then the score data of students' mathematical creative thinking ability were analyzed statistically by using a difference test of two average values from the results of the pretest-posttest. The results showed that students' creative mathematical thinking ability using the Problem Based Learning approach was different from the results of the pretest-posttest. Besides that students also showed positive perceptions of problem-based learning and there were good results on mathematical creative thinking skills.

The purpose of this research is to report the data analysis about the kinds of students’ learning style which is used by the Indonesian students in their speaking English skill. The research was conducted through qualitative descriptive research method and supported by data questionnaire. This research can be given understanding about three kinds of learning style which is able to use as a unique technique in teaching English speaking skill and the research findings show that English speaking skill can be learned by all various learner regarding with their learning style. Learning style also can be used as a teacher’s guideline to gain the objectives of study effectively, because the teacher can match their classroom strategy and method regard to students’ learning style. Based on the questionnaire data the most suitable learning style in student speaking skill is auditory learner, because auditory learners absorb the information through hearing, while hearing is the most effective way to add vocabulary, pronounce the words and getting the information clearly and effectively.

The ability to think critically is a process whereby one enables one to formulate and evaluate his own beliefs and opinions. The method used for the analysis of this research is Qualitative Descriptive Method that aims to analyze the results of students' work on critical thinking questions and self-tracking questionnaire students in SMPN 3 Batujajar West Bandung regency. The sample studied is 1 class of students who amounted to 39 students in class VIII-C SMPN 3 Batujajar in West Bandung regency. The test question used is critical mathematical thinking with 3 questions and non test self-efficacy on each student. The result of the analysis is the ability of mathematical critical thinking in junior high school in West Bandung regency based on the written description test is still quite low. This research is part of the thesis that will be examined by the author.

This study aims to explain how the use of E-Learning in learning Arabic and explain how the learning outcomes of class VIII students in learning Arabic using E-Learning and to explain what are the advantages and disadvantages of E-Learning in learning Arabic for class VIII students at MTsN 3  Banjarmasin.  This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research, with the data collection process using the methods of observation, interviews and documentation.  This study interviewed one Arabic teacher and 32 students in class VIII MTsN 3 Banjarmasin. Based on the results of the study that the use of e-learning in learning Arabic is very beneficial for teachers and students and is also very helpful in learning.  Students become more active and independent in learning using e-learning.  And the learning outcomes of class VIII students in learning Arabic using E-Learning are varied, some get above average scores and some below average. And the advantage of e-learning is that you can easily find out and view information related to learning Arabic.  E-learning is also without being limited by distance, place and time.  Students also become more active in participating in learning.  Meanwhile, the lack of e-learning is that not all internet networks are smooth, so when opening or using it, problems can occur, namely errors can occur.  And there is less interaction between teachers and students because they cannot meet face to face.

The more appropriate learning design with student learning style, the more student achievement. This study aims to describe the influence of learning design based on visual learning style on student achievement that has visual, auditorial and kinesthetic learning style. Qualitative descriptive research method with experimental form. Result of data analysis show that: 1. That student of PAI learning psychology have 3 learning style, that is visual learning style, auditorial learning style and kinesthetic learning style. 2. Student achievement that has a visual learning style that is from the average value of 58.4 to 90.7. Children who have an auditorial learning style from the average score of 52.6 to 56.6. And the kinesthetic child from an average score of 56.5 to 60. This suggests that learning design based on visual learning style can only improve student's learning achievement that has visual learning style.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan mendeskripsikan komunikasi matematis siswa SMP Negeri 9 Salatiga pada materi operasi aljabar. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 3 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Salatiga. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua subjek mampu mengekspresikan dan mengorganisasikan ide-ide matematika serta berpikir matematis menggunakan bentuk lisan, visual, dan tulisan. Semua subjek mampu menggunakan simbol, kata-kata, istilah-istilah dalam bentuk lisan, visual, dan tulisan. Namun hanya subjek berkemampuan rendah yang belum mampu mengkomunikasikan kepada pendengar yang berbeda dan bertujuan untuk menyelesaikan soal operasi aljabar.Abstract: This research is qualitative descriptive study aimed to describe the mathematical communication students of SMP Negeri 9 Salatiga on algebraic operation material. Subject in this study consist of 3 students of class VIII SMP Negeri 9 Salatiga. The data collection technique using the technique of tests, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that all subjects were able to express and organize mathematical ideas and mathematical thinking using oral, visual, and written forms. All subjects were able to use symbols, words, terms in the form of oral, visual, and written. However, only low ability subjects that have not been able to communicate to different audiences and aims to solving algebraic operations.

Communication is one of the important things in the learning process because there will be social interactions that can make learning more lively. Through communication, students can understand and interpret understanding of mathematical problems, not only calculation problems but also mathematical problems in everyday life. This research aims to describe students' communication skills in solving mathematical literacy problems based on mathematical abilities. This research is qualitative descriptive research. The subjects in this research were 27 students of class VIII in one of SMP Swasta in Sidoarjo. Subjects were given a mathematics ability test to categorize the subject's mathematical abilities into high, medium, and low-levels. The research data were obtained from the results of mathematics literacy tests and interviews conducted by 3 selected subjects. The results showed that 1) students with high mathematical abilities have a medium category of communication skills because students can fulfill the indicators of expression, interpretation, use of notations/symbols, and evaluation with correct answers without complete reasons, 2) students with medium mathematical abilities have a medium category of communication skills because students can fulfill the expression and interpretation indicators with correct answers along with correct and clear reasons, fulfill the indicators of using notations/symbols with correct answers without complete reasons, but students do not fulfill the evaluation indicators, and 3) students with low mathematical abilities have a very low category of communication skills because students can fulfill the expression and interpretation indicators with wrong answers but there is a reason, fulfill the indicators of using notations/symbols with correct answers but no reason, but students do not fulfill the evaluation indicators. The research aims to describe students' critical thinking ability in terms of social arithmetic problem problem 2020/2021. As for the indicators of critical thinking ability covering clarification, furtherment, strategy, and inference. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The method of data collection includes a test of the critical thinking ability of 3 items of description and interview. Based on data analysis, it could be concluded that: (1) the high category of subjects of 3 students, indicating that in the clarifying, subclassification, strategy, and inference parts can state the problem perfectly and completely (2) the only moderate number of subjects at 5 students, pointing out that in the clarifying, subclassification, strategy, and inference sections can present the problem less completely (3) next, the low number of subjects of 12 students, I will be able to explain that in the clarification,assement, strategy, and inference will be unable to declare the problem.

The purpose of this research was to determine the cognitive processes that occur in problem solving for Class VIII A students of SMPK St. Paulus Karuni. Type of this research is a qualitative descriptive research, by analyzing the results of students based on Bloom's Revised Taxonomy. The subjects of this research were students of VIII A SMPK St. Paulus Karuni in the 2018/2019 academic year consisting of 11 students, which is a special class that uses a metacognitive and discursive approach to mathematics learning. Collecting data in this qualitative descriptive research is in the form of test results from students. As supporting data in this research, students are given special rules in carrying out tests. Namely students may only make scratches in addition to the answers given. Based on the results and discussion of students of class VIII A SMPK St. Paulus Karuni consisting of 11 students, there are four different types of answers. The results of the cognitive process analysis are 9 students with the first and fourth types of answers able to reach the C5 level or meet the first five indicators. One student with the second type of answer is able to reach the C4 level or meet the first 4 indicators. Whereas one other student who has the third type of answer, is able to reach level C2 or only meet the first two indicators
