The first lesson of a child’s life is learnt at home. The family nurtures the individual and prepares him for his role and function in the society. Healthy parental relations in the home are a medium for making children into wholesome and adjustable personalities. These ongoing changes in the society have not only affected the thinking of people but has also changed the perceptions of people, their lifestyles, even the dimensions of anxiety have changed, now even the small children are facing different kinds of pressures, so adolescence which is considered an age of storm and strife is bound to have more pressures which affect their emotional maturity. The main objective of the topic is to find out the effect of home environment on different dimensions of emotional maturity of adolescents of Bilaspur District of Chhattisgarh. A sample size of 120 Adolescents was selected and taken up for the study. Home Environment Inventory by Karuna Shankar Mishra and Emotional Maturity Scale by Dr. Yasvir Singh & Dr. Mahesh Bhargava are used for the study. It is found that there is significant effect of home environment on all the dimensions of emotional maturity of adolescents.

Banyuwangi is an area rich in various cultures and customs, this is because Banyuwangi district is inhabited by various ethnic groups. The majority of the sub-districts of Banyuwangi are osing tribe who live in the village of fern and urban village of rejo. Joglo building as one of the traditional Javanese buildings in it contained philosophy that suits the life of the people. The arrangement of the room in Joglo is generally divided into three parts, namely the meeting room called pendopo, the living room or the space used to hold the show called pringgitan, and the back room called dalem or omah jero as the family room. For the people of Banyuwangi especially those who still preserve the joglo house just like the osing tribe have begun to experience the shifting of its role and function where in this case joglo house serve as additional need for home decoration, private residence of the citizen, until used as permanent building of cafe and restaurant. From the description above, the researcher felt that the community did not understand the function of the role and shape of the architecture of the Javanese house which has become the culture of the inheritance slowly changed by causing a shift to the cultural values contained within it. The shift in value will sooner or later bring changes to traditional architectural forms, structures and functions.

<p>Family is one of the social institutions in the community. Family is also a place for children to acquire mental coaching and personality formation. The family has a considerable role and function on the development and future of the child. However, in fact the violence of children in the family often occurs, such as violence involving fathers, mothers and other siblings. Lack of knowledge and insight related to parenting, growth and development of children is one factor in the occurrence of violence against children. From various cases of child violence, one of NGO named Yayasan SAMIN that cares about child issues to make efforts to prevent and treat child violence in the family. This research aims to know 1) how the role of Yayasan SAMIN in the prevention and handling of child violence in the family, 2) How to form the prevention and handling conducted by the Yayasan SAMIN against Child abuse cases in Family. The results of this study show that 1) Yayasan SAMIN has been explaining its role in the prevention of child violence against parents and the treatment of child abuse victims in families, 2) The prevention of child violence by parents is socialization, campaigning, and KIE (communication, information, education). The form of treatment of victims of violence is with mentoring.</p>

Family is also the first pillar to meet the social, economic, psychological and culture aspect to the individual. In prostitution aspect, someone who decides to be self-employment woman can be known from the socialization style in the family. Because of that, it is important to know about family role and function in solving prostitution problem. Therefore, the problem is how the structural and cultural role is occupied by each family member in the daily life of house hold.This research aims to analyze the process of someone to be self-employment woman from the aspect of instilling the moral and norm by each family member, analyze the social relation in the family, one of whose member is a self-employment woman, and analyze the function which is acted by each member to the self-employment woman. This research used Functional Imperatives Talcott Parson theory to analyze the structural and cultural role of self-employment woman’s family. The methodology used in this case was qualitative research design.The result of the research shows the economic factor. Besides the factor of young marriage culture which causes the divorce. After divorce, the women start to work as self-employment woman. Lacking of the education awareness can be one of the causes in increasing the number of self-employment woman.Lacking of communication among the family can cause the parents are not able to keep the children from social deviation. Social deviation which has been occupied for long time can be human habit and common activity in society.

Prostitution is a classic social problem existed continuously as though it is difficult to eradicate. It makes the topic on prostitution becomes interesting to discuss. This paper identified the problem of prostitution from the viewpoint of positive law and empirical reality in society. By combining normative and empirical studies, the article aims to provide an overview of the problem of prostitution more clearly. From the library resarch, it is found various types of prostitution occur. In addition, the motivation to commit prostitution was not solely caused by economic motives, but there were other motives such as drug abuse, for instance. To keep prostitution is not rampant, it is not solely relying on legal instruments, but the role and function of the family is important. Therefore, the problem of prostitution is not simply seen from one point of view, there are other factors as its cause.

Parents have a very important role and function in children's character building. In the family, parents are madrasatul or school first and foremost for children, therefore, parents reinforcement must be able to provide character education for their cihildren at home. The intensity of communication and held face to face is sufficient in order to allow socialization and strengthen character values, morals, and other good behavior can be internalized in children through habitual in everyday life at home.

The objective of research was to find out the habitus of actor on  PT Antam’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) program implementation in developing the clean water infrastructure, particularly involving the society leader and the members of society, as well as the staff of PT Antam. In this case, the leader was Lurah Desa Cisarua (the Head of Cisarua Village) attempting to make both company and society benefiting from the presence of company amid the society. The research method used was case study. Techniques of collecting data used were observation, interview, and focus group discussion (FGD). Technique of analyzing data used was an interactive model. Bourdieu’s structuring theory was used to appreciate the leader’s action. This theory states that (habitus × capital) + domain = action. The result of research suggested that the community of Nanggung Sub District was the domain in which the actor exists, pertaining to values, norms, and problems encountered by the society. Habitus of society leader constituted knowledge and conception on its role and function within the society, learnt from its primary and secondary environments. The result also showed that a society leading actor should be able to serve the society by devoting idea, thought, and effort to its society. The members of society should be able to participate actively in the society’s activity. Meanwhile, the actor of company should be productive and maintain the company’s reputation. Capital consists of economic, social, cultural, and political capitals the individual actors have.

Today many interesting researches are being conducted in the field of psychology. This Research on home environment, anxiety, mental health, emotional maturity etc finds the place in many leading journals of psychology. Topic of personality traits has drawn attention of many researchers in psychology. Research in personality traits has received a great deal of attention in the last few decades. Comparative study on personality traits of different social groups is worth exploring. Therefore a researcher has selected an interesting topic of comparing the personality traits of Arts, Commerce and Science students. It is also worthwhile to compare the personality traits of males and females. Different inventories of evaluating personality are available. From the available test of personality, the researcher has selected 16 PF of cattle to collect relevant data. Personality is defined as characteristics and distinctive ways of behaving according to C.T. Morgan. The individual behaves in the environment according to his personality traits. The oldest approach to the problem of identifying characteristic and distinctive ways of behaving is to establish a limited number of traits that can be measured with standardised personality tests. 16 PF is one such standard personality inventory.

Community paradigm of education has changed, one of the things that changes the learning paradigm is the application of cooperation between parents and teachers in learning. Applying the pattern of teacher and parent relations in education at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri in Aceh Tamiang, is a relationship pattern that can establish communication between teachers and parents in education in MAN ManyakPayed and MAN Kualasimpang. This study aims to determine the roles and functions,  form of communication, shared responsibility, form of cooperation,  form of effort between teachers and parents in MAN ManyakPayed and MAN Kualasimpang in Aceh Tamiang. This research uses qualitative approach. Subjects in this study were teachers and parents at MAN Aceh Tamiang. As for data collection techniques in this study include observation and interviews. Furthermore, Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the role and function of teachers and parents as partners, guide, direct and supervise. Form of communication is by through an official letter from the school and a visit to the home of his parents in order to know the true condition of the students. The efforts of teachers and parents in MAN   and MAN Kualasimpang provide motivation to learn, create a harmonious atmosphere in the family, providing for the needs of children.

Surabaya is one of the cities with the highest divorce rates in East Java. One of the efforts made is to conduct interventions to improve family resilience in Surabaya. Activities to improve family resilience are carried out through understanding eight family functions and the implementation of the eight family functions. The goal of the equal family development activity is to increase the role of family members in realizing a quality and equal family. Other goals in the long term can reduce divorce rates and increase family resilience, increase gender equality in the family, improve the role and function of husband and wife in the family, increase the roles of men and women in educating children, and implement children's rights in the family. Socially, family resilience must be built through increasing the capacity of family members. Family resilience is also closely related to the gender construction that develops in society. This article aims to understand how an equal family building program is an effort to improve family resilience in Surabaya families. abstrakKota Surabaya termasuk kota yang memiliki tingkat perceraian yang tertinggi di Jawa Timur. Salah satu upaya yang perlu dilakukan yakni mengadakan intervensi untuk meningkatkan ketahanan keluarga pada keluarga-keluarga di Surabaya. Kegiatan peningkatan ketahanan keluarga yang dilakukan yakni melalui pemahaman delapan fungsi keluarga, dan praktek implementasi kedelapan fungsi keluarga tersebut. Tujuan Kegiatan Bina Keluarga Setara adalah meningkatkan peran anggota keluarga dalam mewujudkan keluarga berkualitas dan setara dalam relasi. Tujuan lain dalam jangka panjang dapat menurunkan angka perceraian dan meningkatkan ketahanan keluarga. Tujuan khusus yakni meningkatkan kesetaraan gender dalam keluarga, meningkatkan peran dan fungsi suami istri dalam keluarga, meningkatkan peran laki-laki dan perempuan dalam mendidik anak, dan menerapkan hak anak dalam keluarga. Secara sosial budaya ketahanan keluarga harus dibangun melalui peningkatan kapasistas anggota keluarga agar mampu melaksanakan peran dalam keluarga secara optimal. Ketahanan keluarga juga berkaitan erat dengan konstruksi gender yang berkembang dalam masyarakat. Secara ringkas, artikel ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana program bina keluarga setara sebagai upaya meningkatkan ketahanan keluarga pada keluarga Surabaya.
