The purpose of present study was to find out correlation between the youths’ Internet Addiction and Psychological well-being. The said sample was 120 both males and females in equal numbers was selected through random sampling. Internet Addiction Inventory &Psychological well-being Inventory are tailor-made instruments, having sufficient reliability and validity. For the purpose of analysis, The Karl-Pearson ‘r’ technique was used. Present study reveals the result that there is no significant Negative correlation between the youths’ Internet Addiction and Psychological well-being. The authors suggest that there is a need to explore the rural and the urban youths’ correlation in the line of above study.

The said sample was 240 both males and females in equal numbers was selected through random sampling. Adjustment Inventory &Psychological well-being Inventory are tailor-made instruments, having sufficient reliability and validity. For the purpose of analysis, The Karl-Pearson „r‟ technique was used. Present study reveals the result that there is significant Positive correlation between the Adjustment and Psychological well-being among of Call center employees. The authors suggest that there is a need to explore the rural and the urban correlation in the line of above study.

Objective: This study was done to investigate the relationship between existential anxiety and demoralization syndrome in predicting psychological well-being in patients with cancer. Methods: This correlational study was done on 57 patients with cancer (skin, breast, and stomach) aged 20-40 years, referring to hospitals in Ardabil selected by purposive sampling. The selected individuals completed the existential anxiety, demoralization syndrome, and psychological well-being questionnaires. To analyze the data, the stepwise regression analysis was used. Results: The results showed a significant negative correlation between the existential anxiety and predicting psychological well-being in patients with cancer (P<0.01) and also a significant negative correlation between demoralization syndrome and prediction of depression in patients with cancer (P<0.01). Conclusion: According to the results of this study, people facing life-threatening illnesses, such as cancer experience existential concerns, such as death anxiety, uncertainty, absurdity, and loneliness and the aim of psychotherapy and counseling interventions in these people is to create a supportive atmosphere that helps these patients to accept the disease, and consequently improve their mental health.

The present study was conducted with the aim to examine the relationship between internet addiction and psychological well-being among youth of Kashmir and to find out the difference in both addiction and psychological well-being among youth of Kashmir with respect to gender and residential status. 100 students studying in various colleges of two districts of Kashmir (Srinagar and Ganderbal) completed the Young’s Internet addiction test (Young, 1998) and Ryff’s Psychological well-being scale (Ryff, 1995). Results of the study revealed a significant negative correlation between internet addiction and psychological well-being among youth of Kashmir. Further it was found that there is significant difference in internet addiction among youth of Kashmir with respect to their gender, males were found to be high on internet addiction than their counter parts and no significant difference was found in internet addiction with respect to their residential status. Results also revealed insignificant difference in psychological well-being among male and female youth and regarding their residential status significant difference was found in psychological well-being, urban youth were found to be high on the levels of psychological well being as compared to rural youth. The study will be helpful in highlighting the effect of internet addiction among youth which is becoming a menace day by day for society.

The issue of parents’ psychological well-being, parents’ ability to recognize their physical and emotional resources, ability to avoid exhaustion of those resources has become increasingly important. In this context parents’ self-compassion could be psychological resource for parents to implement positive parenting approaches and encourage positive contact with the child. The aim of this research was to examine whether there is an association between parents’ self-compassion and their perceptions of child rearing practices. Data were collected from 203 respondents in 2019. The results showed a statistically significant positive correlation (rs= .268 p < .01) between self-compassion and the Positive parenting indicators; statistically significant negative correlation (rs= -.214 p < .01) between self-compassion and Psychological control; statistically significant negative correlation (rs= -.192, p < .01) between self-compassion and Physical control. The wellbeing and health of people are influenced by satisfaction about their job. The essence of job satisfaction is explained as mental gratification derived from one’s job. To know how the job satisfaction of an individual affects the other domains of an individual’s life like, psychological well-being and perceived stress in making an individual over-all healthy being. The study aims to investigate the Job satisfaction levels on psychological well-being and Perceived stress among government and private employees. Convenient sampling method was used in this study. In this study the sample consisted of 100 employees; 48 employees from the government sector and 52 employees from the private sector of the Delhi/ NCR region. For this study the behaviour tools used were job satisfaction scale, psychological well-being, and Perceived stress scale were taken for the study. These tools are used to measure government and private employee psycho social health issues. SPSS-18 software was used for data management. The results revealed significant negative correlation between Job satisfaction and Purpose in Life (r= -0.21) at p<0.05 level of significance. Perceived stress had a negative correlation between Autonomy (r= -.23) and Positive relation with others (r= -0.20) at p<0.05 level of significance. There was a significant difference between Government and Private sectors on Positive relations with others (p=0.003) at p<0.05 and Perceived stress (p=0.000) at p<0.05.

AbstractA good level psychological well-being is important for inmates’ prerelease to have a good function in their new surroundings and as a predictor of resilience. Women inmates who will be release can have psychologicall distress that have negative consequences to their level of psychological well-being. The aim of this research is to see psychological well-being in inmates’ during their prerelease. This is a descriptive and quantitative research using 42-item Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale. The respondents were 33 inmates’ during their prerelease time in Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Wanita Klas IIA Sukamiskin Bandung (Women Prison in Sukamiskin Bandung) and were taken using accidental sampling in non-random sampling method. The data then were analyzed by using distribution of frequency in the percentations. The level of psychological well-being was divided into three categories: high, middle, and low psychological well-being, and the result of this research shows that most of the inmates’ have moderate level of psychological well-being. High scores were mostly found in positive relation to others dimension and low scores were mostly found in self-acceptance dimension.Keyword: prerelease, psychological well-being, inmates AbstrakPsychological well-being yang baik diperlukan warga binaan menjelang pembebasan agar dapat memaksimalkan potensi untuk beradaptasi di lingkungan masyarakat dan sebagai prediktor tingkat resiliensi. Berdasarkan fenomena yang terjadi, sebagian warga binaan wanita menjelang pembebasan merasakan tekanan psikologis yang berpengaruh negatif terhadap psychological well-being. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat psychological well being warga binaan menjelang masa pembebasan. Metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan alat ukur 42-item Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale. Jumlah sampel 33 warga binaan menjelang bebas di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Wanita Klas IIA Sukamiskin Bandung yang dipilih dengan metode non-random sampling melalui teknik accidental sampling. Analisis data berupa persentasi distribusi frekuensi. Hasil penelitian sebagian besar psychological well-being warga binaan menjelang pembebasan dalam kategori sedang. Skor dalam kategori tinggi paling banyak ditemukan pada dimensi hubungan positif dengan orang lain, sedangkan skor dalam kategori rendah paling banyak ditemukan pada dimensi penerimaan diri.Kata kunci: masa kebebasan, psychological well-being, warga binaan pemasyarakatan
