The following piece is a reflection concerning the interplay between the art of writing and the art of medicine. We are exploring the similarities and disparities of the field with a focus on doctors – medical students and fiction authors/poets. We are currently medical students and we identify as poets and fiction authors since our high school years and hence we are trying to point out our perspective. In the end we give some hints about the role that literature can play in modern medicine. Key words: medicine, literature, medical humanities, fiction, poetry

I. INTRODUCTION Most medical education programmes in Taiwan accept students upon high school graduation. Medical education used to consist of seven years with the last year being an internship. Since 2013, medical students have graduated at the end of six years, and the internship has been moved to a postgraduate year. In both formats, students have been offered medical humanities courses in the “pre-med” phase, i.e. the first two years of medical school. From the third year onward, however, students rarely have exposure to subjects related to humanism, other than courses on medical ethics and some problem-based learning case discussions. Moreover, medical students have had very little exposure to humanities in high school. Such limited exposure to humanities during medical school can have detrimental effects on cultivating humanistic physicians in Taiwan.

Key Words : Penyelenggaraan Urusan Pemerintahan, Pendidikan Menengah   Abstract Implementation of local government authority has shifted towards the principle of ultra vires doctrine which appears on the formulation of local government authority to the affairs of local government, and the division of central and local government authority put forward the principle of kongkuren. This condition is characterized by the implementation of educational affairs divided between district / municipal governments and provincial governments, where basic education is administered by district / municipal governments while high school is managed by the provincial government. This research was conducted with qualitative motive approach through observation and literature review. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of secondary education affairs transferred to the provincial government will lead to new trends in the management of both local government and provincial governments. First, that the policies that have been issued by local governments related to the education sector will not be entirely accommodated by the provincial government. Second, the tendency to increase budget allocation to the provincial government as an excess of the transfer of authority. Third, the process of evaluation, supervision and control of the implementation of high school by the provincial government will be more severe in terms of geographical location of the region, and the four concerns will be less accommodated local wisdom content in the application of the curriculum, where previously each district government / different as a form of local wisdom that can be a reinforcement in the preparation of educational curriculum. Abstract During the last decades, there has been a rapid development in the research and use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO), and modern medicine is increasingly taking advantage of its beneficial effects. The aim of the study was to check the level of knowledge of future doctors (medical students) on hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The survey was conducted among 240 students of the medical faculty (3rd and 5th year of study) of the Military and Medical Faculty of the Medical University of Lodz. The author’s questionnaire with forced-choice questions was used as research tool. The students’ knowledge of hyperbaric oxygen therapy was varied and in some cases was not dependent on the year of study. It was observed that students’ knowledge of the subject matter depends on the number of teaching hours allocated to it.

Abstract: The following article is an interpretative description of a workshop devoted to sculpture reproduction based on alginate moulds addressed to students with special educational needs within the Specific Programme of Basic Vocational Training at a secondary education high-school. This workshop, supervised by teachers at the high-school, was performed following an interactional collective approach and using dental alginate for the production of moulds. Offering exceptional reproduction features, this material allowed the students to participate in a sensorial experience by means of the observation of all the changes that it suffers; from the mixing of alginate powder and water to the composition of the reproduction itself. The instructions and explanations given were simplified to obtain a better understanding of the students. Different images showing examples of sculpture works obtained by means of this technique were also provided. I addition, prior demonstrations were carried out so that the students could visually analyse how the material should be handled, suggesting the making of a plaster reproduction of their own hands. When concepts and artistic languages meet the student’s needs and capacities, they make the classroom a place for integration and cooperation where students live sensorial experiences which help them discover new ways of expression. key words: integration, disability, sculpture, alginate, molds, self-esteem.   DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.7203/eari.10.14228

In fact, teachers feel lazy to make a handout to succeed their teaching and learning process, especially civic teachers who are still low in understanding how to make and design their own handout. A handout is an instrument that teachers supposed to writing it. By writing a handout, teacher can explore his material based on the problems faced in the class. That is way; the Team thought that we need to give them something to train them in writing their own teaching handout. This community service was given to civic teachers of senior high school who has the important role in tranfering knowledge about civic subject. Wilhelm Frisell was an admiring student of William Mansfield Clark, who was a scholar capable of bringing to medical students and interested physicians some of the less familiar concepts of physical chemistry in an imaginative and appealing manner that did not do violence to the principles he was dealing with. In the present book, the author has greatly narrowed his scope to the field of acid-base chemistry. Starting from the assumption that his students have yet to be introduced to high school chemistry, he continues to write in this vein thereafter.
