The paper deals with the phenomenon of sense of ownership as a socially determined entity, which appears on the basis of an instinctive need for ownership. Sense of ownership is defined as an emotional state of an individual, reflecting subjective evaluative attitudes towards real or abstract ownership targets. Sense of ownership has a number of levels, ranging from feelings to a particular object to more advanced social forms related to social values, ideals and personal attitudes. Sense of ownership is formed, actualized or deactivated during a human life under the influence of various social and psychological factors. The peculiarities of manifestation and stages of sense of ownership formation at different age periods are described in the article. Sociopsychological and political and psychological determinants of formation, actualization or deactivation, leveling or weakening of sense of ownership in ontogenesis are determined. They are motivation of psychological appropriation, group attitude towards ownership, group social and economic identity, development of value-semantic sphere of personality, as well as group values and meanings, collective emotional states, feeling of domination or dependence, intergroup and ingroup comparison, threat of loss of ownership, self-investing, psychological legitimization of ownership possession, and social competition. Sense of ownership can vary phenomenologically depending on the impact of various social and psychological factors, and can play both stimulating and hindering roles in individual identity formation. It can have different modalities, intensity, duration, depth, level of awareness, complexity, substantive content, and various conditions of occurrence, functions performed depending on the situation, different influence on a person, forms and conditions of its development. These determinants can operate in different ways and cause sense of ownership actualization or deactivation depending on the circumstances and stage of life, individual psychological features and his/her social environment. The influence of social and political conflicts on sense of ownership actualization/deactivation is analyzed using the example of internally displaced persons. Key words: sense of ownership, psychological ownership, social and psychological determination, sense of ownership formation, ontogenesis.

People use language for different social practices in different contexts and perspectives, and discourse analysts examine these social practices for a better understanding of the discourse. The language used by a poet is different from the language used by common people; the poetic diction helps to understand a poet’s literary style, his ideology, and the use of descriptive language. This article focuses on exposing the socio-psychological factors through examining the use of language in a free verse poem ‘Wedding in the Flood’ by Taufiq Rafat who tried to present different aspects of Pakistani culture in the poem. The socio-psychological factors combine the social (family, society, wealth, religion) and the psychological factors (feelings, thoughts, actions, beliefs) that play an important role in shaping the personality of an individual, and the characters in the poem are the best examples of it. This analysis is based on Fairclough’s conceptions in CDA that claims of an inter-link between ideologies and texts, and this link cannot be separated because there are many ways to interpret texts, and the Socio-Psychological Theory (20121) also combines many social and psychological factors of human life. Many researchers did the stylistic analysis of the poem, but nothing has been done to highlight its socio-psychological factors through CDA.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to develop a virtual reality (VR)-based and user-oriented decision support system for interior design and decoration. The four-phase decision-making process of the system is verified through a case study of an office building. Design/methodology/approach Different “spatial layouts” are presented by VR for users to decide their preference (Phase 1). According to the selected spatial layout, a “spatial scene” is constructed by VR and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) is used to determine the spatial scene preference (Phase 2). Based on the binary integer programming method, the system provides the optimal preliminary solution under a limited decoration budget (Phase 3). Finally, the consistency between the overall color scheme and pattern is fine-tuned by VR in order to obtain the final solution (Phase 4). Findings The questionnaire survey results show that decision makers generally affirm the operation and application of VR, and especially recognize the advantages in the improvement of VR-based interior design feasibility, communication efficiency and design decision-making speed. The optimization of the costs and benefits enables decision makers to effectively evaluate the impact of design decisions on subsequent project implementation during the preliminary design process. Originality/value The VR-based decision support system for interior design retains the original immersive experience of VR, and offers a systematic multiple criteria decision- making and operations research optimization method, thus, providing more complete decision-making assistance. Compared with traditional design communication, it can significantly reduce cognitive differences and improve decision-making quality and speed.

Objective: To explore managers’ opinions on planning and design of location, building type, spatial layout, and interior design of adult day care centers (ADCCs). Background: The planning and design of new ADCCs affect subsequent service users and workflows. Studies explore the factors affecting such planning and design using qualitative methods and from the perspective of users. Quantitative methods are rarely employed to explore factors affecting planning and opinions on the design of ADCCs from administrators’ perspective. Methods: Stratified sampling was used to collect data from managers of ADCCs in Taiwan. A mixed-method approach with an analytic hierarchy process was used to quantify the relative importance of factors affecting location and building type selections. Participants responded to open-ended interview questions followed by focus group interviews to examine the key points for spatial layout and interior design. Results: The managers deemed support and attitudes from local residents (group weight = .208) and authorities (group weight = .187) as their first two critical location selection criteria. Regarding their opinions on the conditions of building type, those that prioritized the products and technologies of facility design were deemed the most critical (group weight = .193), followed by those that valued daylight quality (group weight = .161). Six key points of spatial layout and interior design were obtained from the focus group interviews. Conclusions: This study provides a reference for the effective planning of operations, including geographical location, building type, spatial layout, and interior refurbishment and design.

The urban plaza is an important constituent of the big system of the city. It makes a prominent contribution to improve the overall environment quality of the city. With different users and using behaviors, the planning and design of urban plazas with different qualities are also different. Based on environmental behavior studies and POE (post occupancy evaluation), the present thesis takes the Municipal Plaza and the Commercial Plaza in Jinniu District as investigating subjects. From June 30th to July 10th in 2011, the investigation was carried out for user groups of different ages, different genders and different activity preferences during different time intervals in working days and at weekends. The researcher carries out a comparative study on using time features, user group features, spatial behavioral features of users, and activity expectations and behavioral modes of users. The researcher explains the importance of paying attention to spatial environment and the humanized design of user behavioral need. The researcher also points out its realistic significance for plaza construction in China.

The design of inner space or better known as interior design is the study of design in a building and used to solve human problems. One of scientific studies based on design science, this scientific field aims to beable to create a built environment (inner space) along with its supporting elements, both physical and non-physical. So that the quality of human life in it becomes better. The interior design process aims to solve complex problems related to human response to space. To be able to solve the problem in its entirety, it requires an appropriate design concept. The success of the design concept depends on the approach taken in the preparation process.Interior spatial concepts can be built by understanding several things, including: components of design understanding, analytical design schemes, design mindset mapping, design approach methods, and ending with the design concept used in interior planning & design processes. By understanding these things, a scope of interior design in solving design problems is expected to be resolved clearly and systematically, so that the process of drafting the proper interior design & planning concepts can be done more easily. The right concept will eventually be able to tie the design results into a fully integrated design

Many of cultural heritages of the past are detting less known by the present generation. One of which is a pawukon figures and their aesthetic values. Pawukon is a Javanese prediction or calculation based on Hindu mythology regarding time and its association with the prediction of human life based on their wuku (time characteristics). There are 30 pawukon figures, from the Wuku Sinta figure to Wuku Watugunung figure accompanied by a picture of their respective deities. Pawukon figures can be found in primbon books or enlarged and displayed in the interiors of Javanese houses. Pawukon figures such as wayang purwa are equipped with figures of buildings or gedhong, figures of weapons, figures of various types of trees, birds and other figures which each have a certain purpose and meaning. The composition of the various elements makes the overall visuals very interesting to be explored regarding the concept of visual, visual aesthetics and meaning. The pawukon figures also needs to be studied aesthetically regarding to their placement in the Javanese home interior and how to develop them to be better known by the present generation. To explore the aesthetics and development of Pawukon figures, the concept of wangun (aesthetic) derived from the Javanese culture was used. The research findings were interesting because the pawukon figures have the wangun elements and wangun visual arrangenments, wangun placement, and the development of the pawukon figures which is related to the concept of wangun and ora wangun (not aesthetic) or aèng (strange). Pawukon figures were made to remind people to be cautious, and their applications and development into interior design were meant to present the atmosphere of Java.

The article analyzes democratic decentralization, which provides for the formation of local self-government councils of the appropriate level, which represent the interests of the inhabitants of a certain territory, and there are no subordination relations between the councils of different levels. It is analyzed that the first step of modern reforms in Ukraine was administrative-territorial reform and, accordingly, creation of united territorial communities. It is analyzed that among the main obstacles to the implementation of effective decentralization reform are low activity of citizens, their unwillingness to take responsibility and make decisions. It is the low activity of the communities that makes it possible to manage the decentralization process from above, by the regional leadership. The article is a study of socio-psychological factors of the activity of territorial communities in the conditions of decentralization. A number of problems were found which stimulated the increase of activity of territorial communities. The dynamics of increase in the number of OTs in 2015–2018 in all regions of Ukraine is analyzed. It is considered that financial decentralization has also become one of the main factors in increasing population activity. It is noted that a considerable part of the population of territorial communities are ready to participate in public events. Analyzed that the key advantage of the new status of communities in the context of decentralization is the significant increase in the financial resources they can dispose of. It is determined that the union of territorial communities in terms of administrative-territorial reform and decentralization of power has opened wide opportunities for the development of institutes of self- organization of the population and local self-government, change of the model of organized "from above" society, which is a mechanism of restraining the creative potential of the nation and blocking the self-realization of human life, to an organized "bottom" that eliminates the contradiction between the citizen and the state.

Abstract This interpretation of the conditions of the reception of the Decalogue in medieval Christianity and the Reformation period supports the hypothesis that the leading perspectives of ethics are formed by basic assumptions of the reality of human life. This hypothesis is contrary to G.E. Moore’s socalled ›naturalistic fallacy‹, because the ›natural law‹ as an important basic assumption implies a view of nature different from modern times. It is either founded in the eternal divine law (Thomas Aquinas) or in a flexible conception close to history and change (supported by Luther). The Melanchthonian conception, however, relies more or less on a nonhistoric view which implies the notion of human dignity combined with the construction of practical principles appealing to all human persons. In contrast to the Anglosaxon mainstream of ethical thought we find here first indicators of an ethics which combines a transcendental (›transzendental‹ in the Kantian sense) foundation and an examination of everyday’s norms. Thus the Decalogue inspires the search for the conceptions of reality in the background of norms.
