Research background: ISO 9001 with its requirements gives a company a guidance on the definition of the quality management system architecture, based on the process approach and the indications for its continuous improvement. Despite the general emphasis to the benefits of implementation of ISO 9001 in the literature, there is a still lack of research concerning the actual impact of quality management systems for improving specific logistics processes. The research is focused on the Polish market because there is no research in the subject literature which concerns the impact of the implementation of quality management systems on the improvement of logistic processes in Polish enterprises. Purpose of the article: The focus of this publication was to examine the impact of the implementation of the requirements of ISO 9001 for process improvement supply logistics. Methods: Empirical studies were carried out in September and October 2014 on a group of 17 companies with implemented and certified quality management systems according to ISO 9001. The research tool was a questionnaire survey sent to management representatives (25 respondents) and workers (140 respondents). The surveys were supplemented with direct interviews with employees of the companies. Findings: Based on the survey it can be stated that the quality management systems, accord-ing to ISO 9001, had a fairly large impact on improving procurement processes. This is particularly evident in areas including relationships with suppliers, quality control, workflow and communication, both internal and external. The positive aspects achieved through the implementation of quality management systems due to the fact that the ISO 9001 standard in its commitments puts great emphasis on the organization of the procurement process.

The article focuses on examining the problems of developing the quality management systems at the enterprises engaged in foreign economic activities. Today, companies operate in constantly changing market conditions. The formation of a new competitive environment forces companies to pay attention again to the efficiency and quality of goods and services, because in a fierce competition only those com-panies survive that could quickly adapt to such conditions. Globalization of markets, on the one hand, gives the consumer the right to choose the best, and, on the other hand, forces the manufacturer to look for new means to improve quality at the lowest cost. All these factors lead to the active development of quality management systems and methods, considering the wishes of consumers, the search for weaknesses in production and the best adjustment of the whole process for further successful development. Considering the above mentioned, the pur-pose of the article is to study the development and implementation of quality management system, as well as to identify the main problems of formation of quality management systems at enterprises-subjects of foreign economic activity and provide theoretical recommendations for their solution. The article reveals the essence of “quality” notion and discloses the concept of “quality management of the enterprise”. The description of modern quality management systems is implemented on the example of quality management system ISO 9001, food safety management system ISO 22000, environmental management system ISO 14001 and occupational safety and health management system OHSAS 18001. It has been studied the experience of world leaders in forming quality management systems on enterprises, namely the United States, Japan and European countries. Statistics on the number of ISO quality certificates received in 2013–2019 in Ukraine is presented to reveal the dynamics of developing the processes of business entities quality certification in our state. The problems that arise in domestic enterprises engaged in foreign economic operations during the formation of quality management systems are generalized.Keywords: quality, quality management, quality management system, international quality standards, certification, enterprise com-petitiveness. Статтю присвячено вивченню проблем формування систем менеджменту якості на підприємствах-суб’єктах зовнішньо-економічної діяльності. Розкрито сутність понять «якість» та узагальнено категорію «управління якістю діяльності підприємства». Охарактеризовано сучасні системи менеджменту якості підприємницьких структур, зокрема: систему управління якістю ISO 9001, систему управління безпечністю харчових продуктів ISO 22000, систему екологічного керування ISO 14001 та систему управління безпекою та гігієною праці OHSAS 18001. Відстежено досвід світових лідерів щодо формування систем менеджменту якості, а саме Сполучених Штатів Америки, Японії та європейських країн. Простежено динаміку розвитку процесів сертифікації якості бізнес-одиниць, зокрема за кількістю отриманих сертифікатів якості групи ISO у 2013–2019 роках в Україні. В результаті, узагальнено проблеми, які виникають у вітчизняних підприємств-суб’єктів ЗЕД під час формування систем управління якістю, а також наведено рекомендації щодо їх вирішення. Library is all about service, therefore UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Jember commited to always do a continuous improvement on their service by implying quality management systems ISO 9001:2008. Tools to evaluate the effectiveness of quality management systems is quality audit which is held by Badan Penjamin Mutu (BPM) and performed annually. Quality audit performed by interviewing respondents, ask the respondents to filling in the questionnaires, and the last method is observing the library activity, and analyzes if the reality meets the standards set by the UPT Perpustakaan itself. There are 3 types of finding resulted by quality audit avtivity, they are cathegorized as observative finding, minor finding and mayor finding. Minor findings have been found in Pembinaan Koleksi's sector and Gugus Penjamin Mutu's sector whilst the mayor findings coming from Sirkulasi's sector, Pengembangan dan Kerjasama's sector and Layanan Perujukan dan Koleksi Khusus's sector. Mayor findings means that management should give more attention to the implimentation of quality management system which is implied to these sectors because the findings can influence the conformity between the processes and the products offered so that those will affect the services's quality given by the library. Minor findings means that finding will not influences the quality of the services, and generally human error is the cause of that findings. But although it will not influences the quality of the services, the minor findings still needs to be documented and need a correction action to correct the findings so that in the future, the management can prevent similar findings to ever occured again.Keywords: ISO 9001:2008, Library, Quality Audit, Quality Management Systems

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Implementation of Quality Management Systems and Service Quality on the Satisfaction of Participants (Customers), as well as the Implementation of Quality Management Systems on Service Quality. Data collection through the distribution of questionnaires to participants of PT. Taspen. Regression analysis is used to prove the hypothesis. The results showed that the implementation of the Quality Management System and Service Quality affected the Participant Satisfaction and the Implementation of the Quality Management System affected the Service Quality. Implementation of the Quality Management System has a weak effect on Participant Satisfaction. This study also shows that the Implementation of Quality Management Systems to Participant Satisfaction is mediated by Service Quality. This result has several managerial implications.

This research project was to investigate the motives for gaining an ISO 9001 certified quality management system in companies that serve the subsea sector of the oil and gas industries: is certification a strategic business tool or just a marketing badge? A literature review revealed that if implemented rigorously, ISO 9001 could deliver increased efficiency and improved business processes. Many authors stated that certification was gained principally to allow trading in the European and global markets, and, to gain entry to the Approved Vendors List of prospective customers. Primary research consisting of interviews with approximately 55 professionals across 12organisationsindicated that a majority agreed, stating that certification was gained for marketing purposes or to satisfy customer requirements. However many went on to say that their companies had subsequently realized the full benefits of ISO 9001. Therefore the motives for certification could be aligned. Secondary research also revealed that a number of firms operated an integrated management system. Findings of this project point to two conclusions. First, if ISO 9001 is implemented rigorously enough, companies can realize its benefits despite alternative reasons for gaining certification. Second, both motives for gaining certification can be aligned. This is a significant that is absent in the literature. All of the companies operating in this industry that were researched in this study had an ISO 9001 certified QMS. Because of the absence of publications on the use of ISO 9001 in the subsea sector of the oil and gas industries, further research into the possible alignment of the motives investigated in this project is warranted, and recommended. Additional areas for further research include integrated management systems rather than ISO 9001 quality management systems and limiting the scope of analysis to a current single subsea project, such as the Gorgon Project (Hatch 2013).

In recent years, the security and defense sector of Ukraine has been undergoing reforms aimed at gaining the country's membership in the NATO North Atlantic Treaty Organization. One of the many aspects of these reforms is the introduction of some specific standards, in particular, the AQAP 2000 series standards in the quality management systems of military equipment enterprises. In the case of implementation of several international standards at the enterprise, there is a need to create integrated quality management systems. The article presents options for implementing two or more standards in the QMS of the enterprise, analyzes their disadvantages and advantages. The main requirements of the AQAP 2110 standard, which should be integrated with the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard in the context of the PDCA cycle ("Plan-Do-Check-Act"), are considered. The stages of the implementation of integrated QMS are described. The scheme of deliveries of products to the customer in which there is a certification of the quality management system of the manufacturer (supplier) by the external body on conformity assessment, control over the quality of production by military representation, and the government quality assurance GQA has resulted. Government quality assurance GQA means that the authorized national body carries out the process of assessing the conformity of the quality management system of the manufacturer (supplier) to the requirements of ISO 9001 and NATO standards AQAP 2000, which allows the customer to gain confidence in the quality of defense products. A special requirement is to draw up a Quality Plan, which defines the activities, processes, resources, responsibilities of the manufacturer, etc., to convince the customer and the GQA representative that the company can manufacture and supply products of appropriate quality and on time, because in case of defective products or failure to deliver is lost time for a replacement or waiting, and this is a constant risk to the country's combat readiness. Requirements for the content and design of the Quality Plan are given in the standard AQAP 2105. In addition to the above, the following specific requirements of AQAP 2110 are analyzed as the operation of the metrological support system at the enterprise according to DSTU ISO 10012, product configuration management with software according to ACMP 2100, risk management, etc.

Considering that some organizations implemented the ISO 9001 standard more than 25 years ago, while othersdid it a while ago, some quality management systems (QMS) are older than others. This fact led authors to question whether there are differences between long and recently implemented quality management systems. Is there a pattern that QMS follows in its aging that could be considered as a life cycle of QMS? From October 2013 to June 2014, authors have conducted a survey in 186 certified companies using structured questionnaire in order to learn whether there was a significant difference between long and recently implemented QMSs.Collected data were processed using the ANOVA test with a confidence interval of 95%, i.e., α=0.05.Results show that there is a difference between quality management systems in the mature stage and those recently implemented. However, research pointed out two facts. First,34.41% of all surveyed companies apply QMS partially and have virtual QMS that has no purpose of improving business performances but only the purpose ofmaintaining the company’s certificate. Second, in companies that apply QMS fully, the frequency of all processes (which are elements of QMS) decreases in the first seven years of implementation, while after that period it begins to increase. Also, the paper describes indicators for determining companies which partially apply QMS.

Working capital is designed to provide enterprises with financial security. Its level depends on the strategy of managing individual elements of working capital. An appropriate management strategy allows companies to obtain added working capital. Working capital management is a difficult process as it concerns both current assets and current liabilities. Therefore, company managers are constantly looking for solutions, methods and tools that will help them to manage their working capital. A quality management system is the one that facilitates control over the management of individual elements that create net working capital. The introduction of appropriate procedures derived from quality management systems in specific areas is a great support for creating a positive net working capital. The aim of this paper is to show how the introduction of quality management systems can positively affect the level of working capital. The article presents how quality management systems allow for optimizing the level of individual components, creating a positive net working capital. The research was carried out on a group of 102 Polish small trading companies operating in the same industry. The enterprises were divided into two groups of companies applying the quality management system and of those that did not use such systems. Based on the financial statements for the years 2017–2019 and by means of appropriately selected financial ratios, an analysis of the impact of quality management systems on net working capital was carried out. The results in some areas of management of individual components of net working capital in different groups of enterprises were compared. The research was carried out with the application of appropriate statistical methods. The analysis showed that enterprises using quality management systems managed working capital more efficiently. In the literature, the subject of the impact of quality management systems on working capital is not popular. This paper may be a source for further, extended research and considerations regarding the impact of quality management on the level of working capital in enterprises.

<div><strong>Purpose:</strong> The purpose of this article is to discuss the impact of Supplier orientation and the resulting Supply Chain Management (SCM) approach, on the organizational performance of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems certified organizations.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Methodology/Approach:</strong> Following a literature review, a full structural conceptual model was proposed. An online survey was administered to managers of Portuguese organizations with certified ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.  Descriptive Statistics and Structural Model Equations were used to validate the proposed conceptual model. </div><div> </div><div><strong>Findings:</strong> There are positive relationships between Organization Strategy and Supplier Orientation, between Supplier Orientation and Stakeholders Satisfaction, and between Stakeholders Satisfaction and Organizational Performance Orientation, supporting ISO 9001:2015. These findings provide insights that supplier orientation, mediated by stakeholder satisfaction, is an essential tool for organizational competitive sustainable advantage.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Research Limitation/implication:</strong> The analysis was based on managers of ISO 9001 certified organizations perceptions, so additional studies with actual data and longitudinal studies should be useful for further validation.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Originality/Value of paper:</strong> The importance of the overall organizational ecosystem is highlighted with potential impact on the more than 1 Million ISO 9001 organizations certified worldwide and in their suppliers.</div>

Introduction. Integration of Ukraine into the European Economic Area, membership in the World Trade Organization put forward strict requirements on the quality of goods (services, jobs) to the activities of domestic enterprises, in particular in the field of engineering. The formation of quality management systems (QMS) at engineering services enterprises in the context of the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001: 2015 can become an effective mechanism for ensuring their competitiveness as a decisive factor for commercial success. Along with the obvious advantages of designing and implementing quality management systems according to the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001: 2015 at enterprises, today there are a lot of problems, in particular in the field of engineering, to resolve which companies require methodological developments, practical tools and quality specialists. Aim and tasks. The aim of the study is to develop a conceptual model for the formation of the quality management system of an engineering enterprise according to the requirements of international standard ISO 9001: 2015 as a tool to improve its performance and ensure integration with the overall management of the company. Research results. The article substantiates the relevance of the formation of quality management systems at the enterprises of engineering services in the context of the requirements of international standard ISO 9001: 2015 and proves that they are an effective mechanism for ensuring their competitiveness as a decisive factor of commercial success. The existing models of quality management as a basis for the development of quality management systems in the leading countries of the world been analyzed. The model of processes of quality management system of the engineering enterprise according to requirements of standard ISO 9001: 2015 has been investigated and the essence of all its components has been revealed. The conceptual model of quality management system formation of an engineering enterprise in the context of the requirements of international standard ISO 9001: 2015 has been developed. Conclusions. The developed conceptual model of quality management system formation of the engineering enterprise is an effective methodological tool of quality management that will allow providing its integration into the general management of the company. Further developments are aimed at expert assessment of quality management system processes of engineering services companies in the context of the requirements of international standard ISO 9001: 2015.
