This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the implementation of the School Literacy Movement program through the Reading Challenge by using general effectiveness theory according to Campbell JP (1989) which consists of program success, target success, program satisfaction, input and output levels, and goal achievement. thorough. In this study, the approach used by researchers is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are collected through interviews and literature studies. The results of this study show that the implementation of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) program at Al-Ghifari Plus High School is sufficient to achieve program success with the participation of students. In this program, although in general, not all students take part in this activity because it is not required, the obstacles faced in implementing the Reading Challenge program at Al-Ghifari High School are students having difficulties in describing it in a fishbone diagram because of the large number of school subject assignments.

This study aims to identify and analyze the effectiveness of waste management policies based on the 3R Integrated Waste Management Site (TPST) in Indonesia and as a basis for consideration and evaluation for the central and local governments in making waste management policies. This is because waste management both at national and regional scales has not yet found the right solution, coupled with a growing population, so it is important to find appropriate waste management. This research method uses a qualitative approach by conducting literature studies from various relevant sources. The results of this study indicate that the TPST 3R-based waste management policy has not been optimal in its implementation. The effectiveness of the waste management policy is measured through Campbell's theory with several indicators, namely program success, target success, program satisfaction, suitability of input and output, and achievement of overall goals.

This research explains the internalization of multicultural values ​​in the learning process of PAI at Senior high school Darut Taqwa Sengonagung Purwosari Pasuruan. This Research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study. The data collection was through by unstructured and opened interview techniques, unattended and opened observation, and documentation techniques. For analysis and interpretation of data using steps: a). Reduction data, b). Displaying data, and c). Conclusion drawing / verification. The results of the research shows that the internalization of multicultural values ​​in the learning process of PAI through two ways, namely through the material and using methods that reflect multicultural values.

For muslims, Arabic language is more important than the other languages. One of the ways to understand Arabic is learn about it. Learning strategies have an important role in learning Arabic, including learning vocabulary. But, in reality Many students feel difficult to learn Arabic, especially in mastering mufradat and other materials. One of the reasons is the wrong process when studying mufradat. This paper describes the implementation of mind mapping strategy in learning Arabic vocabulary at Junior High School (SMP) Alam Banyuwangi. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with three data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that mind mapping strategy can help the teachers to solve the problem of learning Arabic, especially to improve students' mastery of Arabic vocabulary. Because mind maps use visual and sensory reminders in a pattern of related ideas. This map evokes original ideas and triggers memories easily.

Penelitian bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan proses perumusan visi dan misi sekolah; (2) mendeskripsikan strategi yang dibuat sekolah dalam upaya mewujudkan visi dan misi; (3) mendeskripsikan gambaran ketercapaian dari visi yang telah dibuat sekolah; (4) mengidentifikasi faktor yang mempengaruhi sekolah dalam upaya mewujudkan visi dan misi selama ini; dan (5) menemukan strategi yang efektif dalam mewujudkan visi dan misi yang telah dirumuskan sekolah. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis fenomenologi. Data dianalisis melalui proses pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) proses perumusan visi dan misi sekolah dilakukan melalui rapat internal yang dibuat oleh kepala sekolah dengan memperhatikan visi lembaga di atas sekolah, nilai-nilai dalam masyarakat, dan relevansi dengan perkembangan zaman; (2) strategi yang dibuat ketiga sekolah memang sedikit berbeda-beda namun pada dasarnya dapat dianalisis dengan dimensi proses, konten, dan konteks; (3) visi ketiga sekolah dapat dikatakan belum tercapai karena beberapa unsur yang ada di dalam visi belum sepenuhnya terwujud; (4) sumber daya manusia, pendanaan, metode, sarana prasarana, kepemimpinan sekolah, dan komunikasi mempengaruhi ketercapaian dari visi dan misi sekolah; dan (5) strategi yang efektif dalam upaya mewujudkan visi dan misi sekolah dapat dilakukan dengan cara membangun harapan individu menjadi visi bersama, membuat prioritas pembangunan dengan indikator ketercapaiannya, membangun motivasi berprestasi, meningkatkan partisipasi orang tua, dan membangun kemitraan dengan berbagai pihak. Kata kunci: strategi mewujudkan visi dan misi STRATEGIES IN ACTUALIZING VISION AND MISSION SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN DISTRICT KASIHAN, BANTUL Abstract This study aims to: (1) describe the formulation of schools’ vision and missions; (2) describe the schools’ strategies to actualize the vision and mission; (3) describe the illustration of vision and missions achievement formulated by schools; (4) identify factors that affect the schools in actualizing their visions and missions; and (5) find an effective strategy to actualize the vision and mission. The study used a qualitative approach with the type of phenomenology. Data were analyzed through the process of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Results of the study: (1) the process formulation of schools’ vision and missions was done by internal meeting conducted by the headmaster by considering higher institution’s vision, values in society, and relevance of current development (2) strategies designed by those three schools are little bit different and can be basically analyzed with the dimension of process, content, and context (3) the schools’ visions were said to be not yet achieved since some elements/components of vision and mission have not been completed (4) human’s resource, funding, methods, facility and infrastructure, leadership in school, and communication affect the actualization of schools’ visions and missions, and (5) effective strategy to actualize vision and missions of schools can be done by uniting individual expectation into shared vision, creating development priority along with its achievement indicator, building achievement motivation, increasing parent’s participation, and building partnership with any stakeholders. <p>This study is aimed at uncovering the students’ acquisition order of coordinating conjunction for then to seek the possible causes of such phenomenon. Quantitative approach with implicational scaling and qualitative approach with case study were employed with test, focused-group interview, and document analysis of some related textbooks as the instruments. A test consist of 70 questions about the usage of seven coordinating conjunctions in which each word is represented by 10 questions was given to the 13 students of eleventh grade of senior high school for the data collection related to the students’ acquisition order. The documents were then analyzed through several steps as suggested by the expert. The results show that the students acquire “and”, “so”, “for”, “but”, “or”, “yet”, and “nor” as in order. The external factors which influence the order are the formal complexity of each conjunction and the lack of exposure of coordinating conjunction both in the teaching activity and textbooks. Thus, teachers are suggested to provide more explicit teaching on coordinating conjunction and necessary knowledge about the usage of each word. Also, book writers should provide ample exposure to give students more knowledge about the usage of those conjunctions in a meaningful context.</p><em></em>

The purpose of this study was to describe how to implement the REACT strategy to develop students’ mathematical representation, reasoning, and disposition ability. This research was a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The subject of this study was grade 8 junior high school student in Bandung. Data collection techniques in this study with observations, interviews, and documentation. Based on data analysis results, it could be concluded that REACT strategies can be applied to develop a mathematical representation, reasoning, and disposition ability that engages students actively. Implementation of the REACT strategy runs smoothly and gets enthusiastic responses from students. The application of REACT strategies should be undertaken sustainably so that the learning objectives can be achieved by integrating various mathematical skills that were capable.

This research is backed by a low interest condition of reading communities among children and adolescents in Kp. BBC Village of Cihampelas West Bandung Regency. Especially the students in the junior high School of Insan Litera and any strategy that can be used as an effort to inspire reading. The purpose of this research is (1) to know the strategy to build a community to learn. (2) To know the process of student Readathon activity in Sekolah Alam SMP Insan Litera. The theories used in this research include the concept of community fond of learning, and the concept of Readathon. The method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The location of research in Sekolah Alam SMP Insan Litera which is under the auspices of Bening Saguling Foundation and which is the subject of research is all students of Sekolah Alam SMP Insan Litera, amounting to 11 people, principals, and also representatives of one teacher. Based on the research results that Readathon has carried out well. In this readathon there are several activities carried out consisting of 4 stages of 1) the implementation of Readathon routinely once a week, carried out on Thursday. With the target one student finished reading one book one week. 2) reading book read by PPL students who act as tutors. 3) Discussion of read books packed with fun games or quizzes. 4) Create a geulis tree (literacy Movement) where the student who has completed reading one book writes his name and the title of his book later in the Geulis tree. The condition of learning interest in students is also quite high, visible from students ' participation in following learning programs.

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Qur'an's tahfidz program by using social media at Senior Islamic High School of Sunan Giri Semampir Surabaya. The type of this research is a field research that the location is Senior Islamic High School of Sunan Giri as the executor of the Qur'an's memorizing extracurricular activities by looking for qualitative approach. The subject of this study involved the head of the school, the Trustees of the Qur’an memorizing program  and participants of male and female students. Data collection using the method of observation, interviews and documentation. This Study uses the analytical method of Miles Huberman model with three steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The result of this research is: First, the Tahfidz Program in MA Sunan Giri Surabaya is a new program with memorization of 5 juz for students who stay in dormitory and 2 juz for non-boarding students. Second, the process of implementing memorization through social media, with 3 stages, namely: 1) Reading together verses to be memorized, 2) Memorizing students at their homes with the assistance of parents, 3) students' memorizes to the teacher through video calls. Third, the implementation of the Qur’an’s memorizing program went well as expected as the program is usually in the school

This study aims at revealing what are the interaction patterns, interaction exchanges, and impacts of interaction in EFL Classroom. The samples of this study are the teacher and students of junior high school in one of the courses in Makassar, namely Jakarta Intensive Learning Centre (JILC). The approach employed in this study is qualitative approach. The type of this study belongs to discourse analysis (DA). Data collection of this study was conducted through (1) recording, (2) observation, and (3) interview. The study findings shows that the used of teacher students pattern as the dominant pattern that the teacher applied. The knowledge exchange is the dominant exchange that the teacher applied in classroom, it depends on the material that the teacher transferred for her students. The study finding shows the positive impacts from interaction that the teacher applied in EFL Classroom.

Character education is the focus of Indonesian education nowadays as people in Indonesia is experiencing a negative character shifting. In order to change negative character, character education should be taught to the young generation through the integration of the character education at school. This study aims to determine the ways of integrating the value of character education in the lesson plan and the process of Indonesian language learning in the high school. This study employed a case study method by implementing a qualitative approach. This research was carried out in State Senior High School (SMAN) 1 Surakarta, Indonesia. The technique of data collection comprised of observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of this study shows that SMAN 1 Surakarta infuses character education in Indonesian language learning. The character values, which are integrated to the lesson plan, are respect, discipline, care, courage, responsibility, justice, honesty, helping each other, and cooperation. In the learning process, the character values that are infused to the lesson plan had been successfully integrated except for three values, namely justice, helping each other, and cooperation. Those three values should be integrated during group discussion activities, unfortunately, group discussion activities were not carried out.
