ABSTRACT  The purpose of this study is to describe the velues of character education in Tere Liye’s novel Daun yang Jatuh Tak Pernah Membenci Angin. The type of this study is qualitative research with descriptive method and using triangulation technique to validate the data. The research data is in the form of words, phrases, sentences, and discourses that show the actions of the characters, the words of the characters and the narrator, which indicate the values of character education found in Tere Liye's novel Daun yang Jatuh Tak Pernah Membenci Angin. The data collection technique of this study is to read and understand Tere Liye's novel Daun yang Jatuh Tak Pernah Membenci Angin then recording the data related to character education values in Tere Liye's novel Daun yang Jatuh Tak Pernah Membenci Angin in the form of units of events from character’s behavior. The data analysis technique of this research is describing the values of character education in Tere Liye's novel Daun yang Jatuh Tak Pernah Membenci Angin which is seen in a unit of character events, classifying, analyzing data, interpreting, and compiling reports.As the results of the research founded 72 values of character education, namely 5 values of religious character education, 17 values of hard work character education, 4 values of independent character education, 6 values of curiosity character education, 5 values of education value achievement, 9 values of friendly character education, 3 values of character education are fond of reading, 15 values of moral value character education, and 8 values of education responsibility. The most dominant valueof character education in Tere Liye's novel Daun yang Jatuh ismoral value character education as much as 15 data. Kata kunci: Nilai, Pendidikan Karakter, Novel Daun yang Jatuh Tak Pernah Membenci Angin

Official letters are one of the written languages used in government agencies or organizations. Official letters sometimes do not pay attention to the correct grammatical rules. This study aims to analyze the language phenomena in official letters of the Pengkol Village Office, Nguter, Sukoharjo. This research is qualitative research using descriptive method. The data used in this study are language phenomena contained in the official lettesr of the Pengkol Village Office. The source of data in this research is an official letter made by employees of the Pengkol Village Office. The data collection technique used is the literature review, listening, and note-taking. The data analysis technique used is qualitative technique. The results of this study indicate that the language phenomena found in official letters of the Pengkol Village Head Office are interference, hypercorrection, pleonasm, and contamination. Out of the four forms of those phenomena, the most frequesnt is hypercorrection, while the least is interference. Surat dinas merupakan salah satu bahasa tulis yang digunakan dalam instansi pemerintah atau organisasi. Dalam surat dinas terkdang tidak memperhatikan penulisan yang sesuai dengan kaidah penggunaan bahasa yang benar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis gejala bahasa yang ada dalam penulisan surat dinas di Kantor Desa Pengkol, Nguter, Sukoharjo. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu gejala bahasa yang terdapat dalam surat dinas Kantor Desa Pengkol. Adapun sumber data dalam penenlitian ini adalah surat dinas yang dibuat oleh pegawai Kantor Desa Pengkol.  Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu teknik pustaka, simak, dan catat. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu teknik kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa gejala bahasa yang ditemukan dalam penulisan surat dinas Kantor Kepala Desa Pengkol, yaitu gejala interferensi, gejala hiperkorek, pleonasme, dan kontaminasi. Dari keempat bentuk gejala tersebut, gejala bahasa yang sering mucul adalah bentuk gejala bahasa hiperkorek, sedangkan yang paling sedikit yaitu bentuk gejala bahasa interferensi.

This study aims to obtain a description of the values ​​of character education in Erna Erdhiya's novel Hantu Belang Penunggu Makam Tak Bertuan. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive method. Data collection techniques in this study consist of; reading carefully and repeatedly, identifying, recording / coding, checking or selecting, and entering data. Data analysis in this study includes interpretation, data analysis, and data conclusion in accordance with the research objectives. The results of this research are the character education values ​​contained in Erna Erdhiya's novel Hantu Belang Penunggu Makam Tak Bertuan are namely religious, honest, discipline, tolerant, creative, curiosity, hard work, love to read, friendly, and responsible.

This research examines and discovers the variation and formation of slang in the street food court (angkringan) of the Perpek community, Ponorogo Regency, which is indicated by a variant of the slang language. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The research data is in the form of words from languages that contain slang forms and are spoken by sellers and buyers. Data collection uses observation techniques supported by note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique used is the equivalent method and the method of religion. The findings of this research are four processes of the formation of slang language in terms of the formation of phonological structures, namely: (1) reversing the overall arrangement of letters, for example "mahal" to "laham", (2) giving an insert at the beginning and at the end both vowels and consonants, for example "kopi" becomes "ngikop", (3) exchanges consonants and replaces one or two letters, for example "sedikit" becomes "sikit", and (4) words are shortened or cut without changing their meanings, for example "mama cantik" to be "macan". The results of the research findings indicate the formation of new slang languages that are different from the original languages, both from Indonesian and regional languages (Javanese). Penelitian ini mengkaji dan menemukan variasi dan pembentukan bahasa slang di angkringan komunitas Perpek, Kabupaten Ponorogo, yang terindikasi ditemuakan varian bahasa slang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode diskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian berupa kata dari bahasa yang mengandung bentuk bahasa slang dan dituturkan oleh penjual dan pembeli. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi yang didukung dengan teknik simak-libat-catat. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode padan dan metode agih. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh temuan berupa empat proses pembentukan variasi bahasa slang dari segi pembentukan struktur fonologis, yaitu: (1) membalikkan susunan huruf secara keseluruhan, misal "mahal" menjadi "laham", (2) memberikan sisipan di awal dan di akhir kata, baik vokal maupun konsonan, misal "kopi" menjadi "ngikop", (3) menukar konsonan dan mengganti satu atau dua huruf,  misal "sedikit" menjadi "sikit", dan (4) kata dipendekkan atau dipotong tanpa mengubah maknanya, misal "mama cantik" menjadi "macan". Hasil temuan penelitian menunjukkan adanya pembentukan bahasa slang baru yang berbeda dari bahasa aslinya, baik dari bahasa Indonesia maupun bahasa daerah (bahasa Jawa).

Language has an important role in everyday human life in society. Jargon is a kind of language that is only used by certain communities as daily communication among its members. The jargon used by the transgender community is very interesting to understand because the jargon has its own form and meaning in its disclosure and can find out how the variety of jargon-shaped language used by transgenders in hiding their secrets so as not to be known by the public. It is evident that not all users of other languages understand the jargon. In this study, the researchers analyzed the jargon used by the waria community in the salon. This study aims to determine the jargon and describe and understand the meaning of the jargon used by the transgender community in interacting orally. The source of the research data was obtained from the subject, namely the transgender women who worked at the Retah salon in Pamulang, who used jargon in their daily communication with transgender women and sometimes with their customers. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method, which describes and conveys data objectively. Describe the jargon terms of transgender language as the object of research. The data collection technique used is observation or see and note. The result of this research is the jargon used by waria in the form of transgender language vocabulary. Based on the results of the data analysis, it was found that 20 pieces of jargon used by transgender women in the salon were akika, rapose, capcus, endang gurindang, ink, sekong, belenjong, cucok, metong, hamidah, lekong, sapose, capcay, begindang, bala-bala, sindang. , lambreta, grasshopper, mesong, and mursida.Keywords: Waria, Jargon, Vocabulary

This study aims to (1) describe the existential drama Oh, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug works of Putu Wijaya which include: (a) freedom, (b) anxiety, (c) the failure, (d) the futility, (e) death, (2) describe absurdism in drama  Ah, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug by Putu Wijaya which includes: (a) suicide philosophical, (b) the nature of the symbolic,  and  (c) of tragedy and comedy. This study focuses on (1) existentialism in the drama Oh, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug  by  Putu Wijaya which include: (a) freedom, (b) anxiety, (c) the failure, (d) the futility, (e) death and (2) absurdism in drama Ah, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug. This study is qualitative research, using descriptive qualitative research data collection. Descriptive method is a method which seeks to describe a phenomenon, the events that occurred at that time. In this study, descriptive method is used  to describe the concept of existentialism and absurdism. This research data  use  existantialism theory  and absurdism in playwrights  by PutuWijaya. By using the technique with  the  data source in the form of three plays, the relevant data collection technique is a technique read. Reading the drama text data collection activities conducted by member’s attention totally focused on the object. Reading and listening is a set of techniques to obtain valid data followed by activities recorded data. This study concluded five concepts of existentialism and three concepts of absurdism. The results showed that existentialism in the drama Oh, Edan, Dag Dig Dug by Putu Wijaya, looked  in terms of freedom, anxiety, failure, futility, and  death.  Three absurdism concepts  in drama Ah, Edan, Dag Dig Dug  by  Putu Wijaya looked through suicide philosophical, symbolic nature, tragedy and comedy.

This research is an interpretive reflective research with ethnopragmatic symbolic study theory. The source of the research data was taken from the documents of two makeup artists from Yogyakata, namely the makeup dresser Lisandra and the makeup dresser Hj. Rochayati. The research data are in the form of Javanese traditional wedding document of Yogyakarta style. The data collection technique is in the form of observation of photo documentation to obtain data in the form of a marriage ceremony sequence that uses verbal and nonverbal language from preparation to the end. The data analysis technique is interpretive reflective. The concrete steps of data analysis are (a) identifying documents, (b) classifying the sequences of marriages, and (c) interpreting each stage of the ceremony. The objectives of the research are (1) to describe the form of nonverbal language in traditional marriage ceremonies, and (2) to describe the non-verbal symbolic meaning of non-verbal language in marriage ceremonies. The findings of the research are that (a) the form of Yogyakarta-style traditional wedding events there are 15 stages, ranging from paningsetan to reception, and (b) ethnopragmatic symbolic meaning in general in the form of prayer requests so that what is desired can be realized.AbstrakPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian reflektif interpretatif dengan teori kajian simbolik etnopragmatik. Sumber data penelitian diambil dari dokumen dua orang juru rias dari Yogyakata, yaitu rias pengantin Lisandra dan rias penantin Hj. Rochayati (nama disamarkan). Data penelitian berupa dokumen foto perkawinan adat Jawa gaya Yogyakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi dokumentasi foto untuk mendapatkan data berupa urutan upacara perkawinan yang menggunakan bahasa verbal dan bahasa nonverbal dari persiapan sampai dengan akhir. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara reflektif interpretatif. Langkah konkret analisis data adalah (a) mengidentifikasi dokumen, (b) mengklasifikasi urut-urutan acara perkawinan, dan (c) menginterpretasi tiap tahapan upacara. Tujuan penelitiannya adalah (1) mendeskripsikan wujud bahasa nonverbal dalam upacara adat perkawinan, dan (2) mendeskripsikan makna simbolik etnopragmatik bahasa nonverbal dalam upacara adat perkawinan. Temuan hasil penelitian adalah bahwa (a) wujud acara adat perkawinan gaya Yogyakarta terdapat 15 tahapan, mulai dari paningsetan sampai dengan resepsi, dan (b) makna simbolik etnopragmatik pada umumnya berupa doa permohonan agar apa yang diinginkan dapat terwujud.

This study focuses on internal conflicts in the novel Air Mata Tuhan works Aguk Irawan M.N. The method in this article uses descriptive method and form of qualitative research. Psychology humanities is used as an approach in this article. Data collection technique used is the technique of documentary studies to reviewing  creation humanities. Data collection tool used is the Human Instrument with the help of card data recorder. Technique authenticity of data used are, triangulation investigator, theory triangulation and inspection peers through discussion. The analysis technique used is the study of the contents. External conflict contained in the novel Tears God works Aguk Irawan M. N based on the analysis that researchers do, namely social conflict tangible problem accusation, strife, oppression, and opposition. Internal conflicts contained in the novel Tears God works Aguk Irawan M. N based on the analysis that researchers do that is the inner conflict in the form of expectations, and the conflicts between the two desires

This article analyzes the function of imperative sentences contained in the "The Captain" movie by applying Zhang's theory of imperative sentence function. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research methods. The data source in this research is the 2019 China movie“The Captain” (中国机长 Zhōngguó Jīzhǎng). The data are imperative words and sentences in the movie. The data collection technique used was the observation and note technique according to Mahsun, then used the data analysis technique of Miles and Huberman. Researchers found 281 imperative sentences in "The Captain" movie and analyzes the imperative function. The most widely used imperative function is the commanding function, which is 80 sentences. Meanwhile, the least function used was threatening function only 1 sentence. The commanding function is more dominant than other functions and found in the conversations between officers to passengers, flight attendants to passengers, communication between officers and others. The commanding function is also mostly found in the officer’s conversations, especially when they were facing an emergency situation. Meanwhile, the words used by the officers, flight attendants and the captain wereshowing respect and courtesy. So that the threathening function was less found in this movie. There are no requesting and begging functions because this movie tells about the incident of the Sichuan flight 8633, including the service of the aircraft officers and the confidence of the officers in facing the emergency situation at that time.

Learning mathematics requires the ability to think logically and critically, not only learning to count. Therefore, teaching concepts is very important. Many students have incorrect, incomplete concepts and so on. As a result, mistakes occur when students do simple mathematics. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the errors in the castor stage. The stages of castor are used including concept errors, procedure errors and technic errors. This research is a qualitative research. The research subjects were students of grade VI SDN Belitung Selatan 1 Banjarmasin. The procedure for selecting subjects used purposive sampling. The data techniques used were tests and interviews. The test is in the form of description questions. The data analysis technique used was data reduction, data presentation and data collection. Based on the research data, it can reveal that students made misconceptions, procedural errors and technical errors. Each student made these mistakes with different indicators.

This study aimed to describe the character values in the symbolism of Ngawi Batik Srambang Park motif in art learning based on cultural diversity in elementary schools. This research used a qualitative descriptive method with a hermeneutic approach. The subjects of this study were three Ngawi Batik craftsmen. The data collection technique was done by observing, interviewing and documenting. The data analysis technique used the Miles and Huberman model data analysis technique with 4 stages including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The result of the research showed that there are values of religious character, hard work, peace-loving, friendly (communicative), environmental care, social care, responsibility, respect for achievement, love for the country, and independence in the symbolism of Ngawi Batik for Srambang Park motif. The use of Batik Srambang Park motif for learning in elementary schools had two relevance. First, character education values were reflected in Batik Srambang Park. Second, Srambang Park Batik was a two-dimensional regional art work. Thus, the learning is not only teaching about the concept of understanding the material but also teaching character values.
