ABSTRACT This article has written the contribution of appreciative reading skills in fairy tale texts to the skills of producing short story text in class VII students of SMP 26 Padang. This research is quantitative research using descriptive methods and contribution research designs. The research data is a score of appreciative short story text reading skills and short story text test scores. Data is obtained through two types of tests, namely objective tests that use short story texts that write. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, the researcher concluded the following three things; first, the average score of appreciative reading skills reads short story texts of students in class VII Padang 26 Junior High School in good qualification (82.01). Second, the average score of short story text students who write students in class VII of Padang 26 Junior High School is in good qualification (79.17). Third, there is a significant contribution between the ability to read short story texts that are appreciative of students who write short story text students in class VII of Padang 26 Junior High School as much as 84.82%. Kata Kunci: kontribusi, kemampuan, membaca apresiatif, menulis, teks cerpen

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan tingkat keterampilan menulis cerpen yang signifikan antara pembelajaran siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Khayalan, model pembelajaran Rodrigues-Badaczewski, dan model pembelajaran konvensional ; (2) menguji apakah penggunaan model pembelajaran Khayalan dan model pembelajaran Rodrigues-Badaczewski mangkus digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis cerpen pada siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri se-Kabupaten Brebes. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretest posttest control group design. Simpulan penelitian ini berdasarkan analisis tersebut adalah (1) ada perbedaan tingkat keterampilan menulis cerpen yang signifikan antara pembelajaran siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran Khayalan dan model pembelajaran konvensional; (2) ada perbedaan tingkat keterampilan menulis cerpen yang signifikan antara pembelajaran siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran Rodrigues-Badaczewski dan model pembelajaran konvensional; (3) tidak ada perbedaan tingkat keterampilan menulis cerpen yang signifikan antara pembelajaran siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran Khayalan dan model pembelajaran Rodrigues-Badaczewski; (4) penggunaan model pembelajaran Rodrigues-Badaczewski dan model pembelajaran Khayalan mangkus digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis cerpen pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri se-Kabupaten Brebes.Kata Kunci: kemangkusan, model pembelajaran Rodrigues-Badaczewski, model pembelajaran khayalan, menulis cerpen, siswa SMP THE EFFECTIVENESS OF IMAGINE LEARNING MODEL AND RODRIGUES-BADACZEWSKI LEARNING MODEL IN SHORT STORY WRITING LEARNING ON GRADE VII STUDENT IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN BREBES REGENCY ABSTRACTThe research aimed to (1) research the significant differences of short story writing skill among students who learn it by Imagine learning model, Rodrigues-Badaczewski learning model, and conventional learning model; (2) examine the effectiveness of Imagine learning model and Rodrigues-Badaczewski learning model in writing learning on grade VII students in junior high school in Brebes Regency. This research is experimental research using pretest-posttest control group design. The result brings to the conclusion that (1) there is a significant difference of short story writing skill between students who learn it by Imagine learning model and conventional learning model; (2) there is a significant difference of short story writing skill between students who learn it by Rodrigues-Badaczewski learning model and conventional learning model; (3) there is not a significant difference of short story writing skill between students who learn it by Rodrigues-Badaczewski learning model and Imagine learning model; (4) Rodrigues-Badaczewski learning model and Imagine learning model are effective for short story writing learning on grade VII students in junior high school in Brebes Regency. Probability value on 0.000 (p<0.05) obtained from Scheffe variant analysis on posttest data of control group and first experimental group and probability value on 0.000 (p<0.05) obtained from Scheffe variant analysis on posttest data of control group and second experimental group.Keywords: effectiveness, Rodrigues-Badaczewski learning model, Imagine learning model, short story writing, Junior High School students.

The main reason for conducting this research is that Sundanese textbooks do not describe the material gradation standards according to the needs and background of students at each level of Education, in addition to not presenting a systematic material structure. In connection with the reason above, the purpose of this study is to examine the gradations and structure of the material contained in the Sundanese textbook for Junior High School/MTs and Senior High School/Vocational/MA students. The method used in this research is the description method. While the data collection technique used in this research is library research techniques. The technique is used to describe data based on gradations and structure of subject presented in Sundanese textbooks based on education levels. The data processed in this study is Sundanese language learning materials including 1) literary forms of poetry: poetry, circumcision, <em>wawacan</em>, satire, <em>pupujian</em>, <em>sawer</em>, and <em>kawih</em>; 2) literary forms of prose: fairy tales, short story, novels, puppet story, and drama; 3) non-literary texts: speeches, writers, letters, reports, debates, interviews, and reports reading. As for, the source of the data is Sundanese textbooks for Junior High School/MTs and Senior High School/Vocational/MA students based on the 2013 Local Content Curriculum Revised 2017. The finding of this study is that the composition of Sundanese textbook material for Junior High School/MTs and Senior High School/Vocational/MA students in accordance with the 2013 Local Content Curriculum Revised 2017, nevertheless, not paying attention to the gradation of the material. Things that unintentionally missing from the authors are 1) gradation of writing indicators from competencies achievement or learning objectives, 2) scope of material presentation and depth of material, and 3) variations of operational verbs on the writing tasks. This research can be used as a consideration in compiling the material presented in the textbook, so that the content presented ca be in accordance with students' needs and background based on their level of education.

This study aims to develop teaching materials for writing short stories based on experience to facilitate students in writing short text. The learning approach offered by researchers is considered appropriate for writing short text material because it can help students to easily express their ideas in writing short stories by linking the material with the context of their daily lives. In addition, experience is the best teacher because from experience one can learn. Experience is a memory that is recorded and stored as a story that forms a filter of perception that ultimately guides behavior. The results of this study indicate that the effectiveness of teaching short story writing lessons based on experiences developed for 7th grade student of junior high school 2 Kejuruan Muda was stated to be more effective than student handbooks. The results of the acquisition of student learning outcomes before and after using teaching materials have increased quite significantly by 8.28. The average score of students before (pretest) using teaching materials learning experiences writing short stories based on experience 74.43 and the average value of post (testing) using teaching materials learning writing short stories based on experience 82.71.
