ABSTRACT This article has written the contribution of appreciative reading skills in fairy tale texts to the skills of producing short story text in class VII students of SMP 26 Padang. This research is quantitative research using descriptive methods and contribution research designs. The research data is a score of appreciative short story text reading skills and short story text test scores. Data is obtained through two types of tests, namely objective tests that use short story texts that write. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, the researcher concluded the following three things; first, the average score of appreciative reading skills reads short story texts of students in class VII Padang 26 Junior High School in good qualification (82.01). Second, the average score of short story text students who write students in class VII of Padang 26 Junior High School is in good qualification (79.17). Third, there is a significant contribution between the ability to read short story texts that are appreciative of students who write short story text students in class VII of Padang 26 Junior High School as much as 84.82%. Kata Kunci: kontribusi, kemampuan, membaca apresiatif, menulis, teks cerpen

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study consists of three. First, it describes the writing skills of fantasy text for grade VII Junior High School 7 Pariaman before using the picture and picture models. Secondly, it describes the writing skills of fantasy text of grade VII Junior High School 7 Pariaman using a picture and picture models. Third, describe the effect of using picture and picture models against writing fantasy text skills grade VII Junior High School 7 Pariaman. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The design of this research is one group pretest-posttest design. The results of this study are three. First, the fantasy text writing skills of grade VII Junior High School 7 Pariaman before using the picture and picture model are in the Almost Enough qualification with an average score of 52.99. Secondly, the skill of writing fantasy text for grade VII Junior High School 7 Pariaman after using the picture and picture model is in the qualification More Than Enough with an average count of 69.53. Third, based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H1) is at a significant level of 95% and the degree of freedom (dk) = n-1 because tcount > t table, which is 4.59 > 1.70. Kata Kunci: pengaruh, model picture and picture, menulis teks cerita fantasi

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to describe things as follows. First, describes the reading skills in understanding of exposition textgrade VIIIJunior High School 34 Padang. Second, it describes the writing skills of expositon textgrade VIIIJunior High School 34 Padang. Third, explain the relationship between the reading skills in understanding of exposition text with writing skills of expositon textgrade VIIIJunior High School 34 Padang. This type of research correlation between the reading skills in understanding of exposition textwith writing skills of exposition text grade VIIIJunior High School 34 Padang is quantitative research with descriptive methods. Based on the reslt of the study, the following three things concluded. First, the reading skills in understanding of exposition text are in good qualification (77.56). Second, the writing skills of exposition  on grade VIIIJunior High school 34 Padang are in good qalification (77.64). Third, there is a significant correlation between the reading skills in understanding of exposition text with the writing skills of exposition text grade VIII Junior High School 34 Padang at n-1 degress freedom and a sicnificant level of 95%. Kata Kunci: Korelasi, Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman Teks Eksposisi, Keterampilan Menulis Teks Eksposisi

This study aims to develop teaching materials for writing short stories based on experience to facilitate students in writing short text. The learning approach offered by researchers is considered appropriate for writing short text material because it can help students to easily express their ideas in writing short stories by linking the material with the context of their daily lives. In addition, experience is the best teacher because from experience one can learn. Experience is a memory that is recorded and stored as a story that forms a filter of perception that ultimately guides behavior. The results of this study indicate that the effectiveness of teaching short story writing lessons based on experiences developed for 7th grade student of junior high school 2 Kejuruan Muda was stated to be more effective than student handbooks. The results of the acquisition of student learning outcomes before and after using teaching materials have increased quite significantly by 8.28. The average score of students before (pretest) using teaching materials learning experiences writing short stories based on experience 74.43 and the average value of post (testing) using teaching materials learning writing short stories based on experience 82.71.

The mathematical communication ability of students is still low. One effort that can be done is to implement Experiences, Language, Pictures, Symbols, Application (ELPSA) framework. The pur pose of this research was to determine students' mathematical communication skills through the application of the ELPSA framework. This research is a descriptive quantitative research. The sub jects were Year 8 students of one of Junior High School in Banda Aceh which consisted of 24 students. Data collection is done through stdeunts worksheet and mathematical communication tests. Data ana lysis was performed by calculating the score of students' mathematical communication in groups and individually using percentage techniques. The results of this research are the mathematical com munication abilities of students in groups during learning with the implementation of ELPSA framework producing high average score. Whereas students' mathematical communication skills after the implementation of the ELPSA framework showed 75% of students met the minimal criteria.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan rintisan bank soal Bahasa Inggris SMP kelas VIII pada tingkat provinsi dengan memperhatikan (1) karakteristik soal Ulangan Kenaikan Kelas (UKK); (2) karakteristik butir-butir soal; (3) jumlah butir soal yang memenuhi standar. Metode yang digunakan adalah pengembangan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Sam-pel sebanyak 6554 respon siswa (lembar jawab). Perangkat tes dianalisis kesesuaian indikatornya dengan Standar Kompetensi (SK) dan Kompetensi Dasar (KD) yang telah ditentukan, serta ditelaah secara kualitatif oleh ahli berdasarkan kriteria kons-truksi, bahasa dan materi. Respons siswa dianalisis secara kuantitatif dengan Iteman 3.00, dan Bilog MG 3.0 3 PL untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang tingkat kesulitan, daya beda, pseudoguessing, serta informasi butir. Bank soal yang dihasilkan masuk kategori baik dilihat dari (1) Hasil analisis kualitatif dari 150 butir soal, sebanyak 105 butir soal (70%) dinyatakan baik. (2) Hasil analisis kuantitatif dengan program Iteman 3.00 diperoleh 115 butir soal tergolong baik. (3) Analisis dengan Bilog MG 3 PL 77 butir soal (66,96%) masuk kategori baik.Kata kunci: bank soal, tingkat kesulitan, daya beda, pseudo guessing, expert judgment, informasi butir dan tes______________________________________________________________ THE ITEM CHARACTERISTICS OF THE FINAL SEMESTER TEST AS A PREPARATION FOR ENGLISH ITEM BANKAbstract This research aims at developing a pilot english test item bank of the 2nd grade junior high school based on: (1) the characterisctics of test items for final semester test; (2) the total number of test items for the 2nd grade junior high school in Yogyakarta Special Province. This descriptive quantitative research used 6554 samples of students’ answer sheets in 2009 and also employs expert judgment to review the construct, language, as well as the materials of the questions. Students’ responses were also analyzed by using Iteman 3.00, Bilog MG 3.0 3 PL. The result of qualitative analysis with expert judgment which shows that 105 out of the 150 test items are categorized as “good”, and the other are “bad”. The quantitative analysis with Iteman 3.00 shows that 115 out of the 150 test items are categorized as “good” and the quantitative analysis with Bilog MG 3.00 3 PL shows that 67% test items are categorized as good. This reseacrh aims to determine the effect of the Missouri Mathematics Project learning model on the ability to think cretaively in mathematics in class VIII junior high school students in the estuary of students in the estuary of 2018/2019 academic year two-variable linearequation system (SPLDV). Jenis type of research used is true experimental design in the form of Pre-test and Post-test design. The population used was all students of class VIII of  Muara Beliti state junior high school, consistingof 295 students and as a sample was class VIII.6 with 30 students as dick classes and VIII.8 with 31 students as experimental classes. The data collection was carried out using a test technique in the form of four essay questions with a maximum score of 20. Based on the resultd of the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the students creative mathematical thinking ability were obtained  then  is rejected and is accepted, it means that the average score of students cerative thinking ability using the Missouri Mathematics Project learning model is more than the average score of students creative thinking ability using conventional learning, namely in the experimental class at 12.97 and in the control class at 5.47.

Junior high school SATAP Sungai Bertam set KKM indonesian language subject class IX of 78 with the provisions of 100% complete, still very many students who have not reached completeness, the purpose of this research is to increase learning outcome in indonesian language subject in class IX. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles with two learning meetings, which includes: planning, implementation, and reflection, 26 study subjects consisted of 12 males and 14 females, Data collection techniques used a written assessment, observations in the form of indicators of teacher and student success, the results showed that on the pre cycle of percentage of student learning outcomes that is 35%, with the highest 79, the lowerst 50, and the average 66,58, in the first cycle increased by a percentage 73%, with the highest 80, the lowerst 65, and the average 76,27, then in the second cycle is 100% complete with the highest 85, the lowest 80, and the average score 82,81. Based on these results, it can be concluded that inquiry learning model can improve the learning outcomes of grade IX students in indonesian languange subjects at Junior high school SATAP Sungai Bertam.

Abstract: This study aims to produce products through the development of Frezi-based physics learning media on business materials and energy at the VIII grade of junior high school level, knowing the feasibility of the media according to the validators and knowing the responses of students to the media. This research is R & D research. The types of data produced are quantitative and qualitative data which are analyzed by the guideline of assessment criteria to determine product feasibility. This study resulted in Frezi-based learning media products on business materials and energy at the junior high school class VIII the final product produced had shown to be very feasible with an average score of material expert assessment 81%, media experts with an average score of 80%. learning media obtained in small group trials are very good with an average score of 87%. In the field trials obtained very good criteria with an average score of 88.33%. This frezi-based physics learning media has been qualified to use as a learning mediaAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk melalui pengembangan media pembelajaran fisika berbasis Frezi pada materi usaha dan energi tingkat SMP kelasVIII, mengetahui kelayakan media menurut para validator dan mengetahui respon peserta didik terhadap media. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitianR&D. Jenis data yang dihasilkan adalah data kuantitatif dan kualitatif yang dianalisis dengan pedoman kriteria penilain untuk menentukan kelayakan produk. Penelitian ini menghasilkan produk media pembelajaran berbasis Frezi pada materi usaha dan energi tingkat SMP kelas VIII produk akhir yang dihasilkan telah menunjukan sangat layak dengan skor rata-rata dari penilaian ahli materi 81%, ahli media dengan skor rata-rata 80% Respon peserta didik terhadap media pembelajaran yang diperoleh pada uji coba kelompok kecil yaitu sangat baik dengan skor rata-rata 87%. Pada uji coba lapangan diperoleh kriteria sangat baik dengan skor rata-rata sebesar 88,33%. Media pembelajaran fisika berbasis Frezi ini sudah terkualifikasi digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran.

The objective of this research was to know the improvement of students’ ability in writing descriptive text by using picture series media. The subject of the research was students on class H at VII (seven) Junior High School 19 Bengkulu City, there were 23 students. The form of this research was a classroom action research. The data of this research were gathered from the descriptive writing test and analyzed by using descriptive analysis. The result showed that there are an improvement of students’ ability in writing descriptive text by using picture series media on class H at VII (seven) Junior High School 19 Bengkulu City. It can be seen from the writing result on cycle I that students’ average score 70 (enough) and increased with 76,04 (good) after repaired on cycle II, then increased again after repaired on cycle III with 86,17 (very good).
