This article examines the lichen species of the Akmola region, including the Burabay State National Park and their biological and ecological features. The distribution of lichens in the territory of the Burabay State National Natural Park is due to many factors, including the degree of air pollution. In this regard, various species of lichens were collected in ecotopes by various plant communities in the Burabay district, along with systematic systematic identification and environmental impact assessment. Epiphytic, epileptic, epilation lichens are found on the territory of the Burabay State National Park. They are found in pine, mixed forests, as well as in plain and mountain natural plant communities. In addition to the diversity of ecotope lichens in the Burabay National Park, there are differences in the degree of their ecological growth and the degree of distribution of the national park.

Abstract The article analyzes the environmental impact assessment procedure of the mine and the iron ore processing structure which integrate the Minas-Rio Project, a mining complex composed by mine - pipeline - port, whose facilities extend across two states in the Brazilian Southeast. The analysis aims at demonstrating, through a reading of the political rituals performed in the participative scene of the licensing process, how mechanisms used to “bend” environmental norms were articulated throughout the process, generating strategies and force-ideas which, in articulation, allowed the operation of the venture despite the notorious lack of knowledge/acknowledgement of the affected population.

While the extant literature on environmental impact assessment (EIA) regulation in India largely focuses on evaluating implementation, this paper studies the political processes that shape the formulation of EIA regulation. Specifically, the aim of this study is to understand the political actors that participate in the formulation process and their influence on the process. To address this research question, this paper conducts a content analysis of the publicly available documents (e.g. regulatory documents, published news reports and reports of expert committees) related to the process of amending the EIA regulation in 2009. The results show that while the overall balance of power is in favour of the economic growth lobby, the environmental groups also appear to exert some influence at the formulation stage. Extrapolating from the findings, the paper then develops a general model of the formulation process of EIA regulation in India, which shows the influence of various actors at various stages of the process.
