The aim of this work was to evaluate the potential of ultrasound (US), alone or in combination with mild heating and/or EDTA towards reduction of As, Cd, I, and Hg content of Laminaria hyperborea. Concentrations of As, Cd, I, and Hg of 56.29, 0.596, 7340, and <0.01 mg kg−1 of dry weight, respectively, were found in L. hyperborea blades. Treatment with US at 50 °C increased approx. 2-fold the amount of As released, although did not affect significantly the content of Cd or I, as compared to control (no US) samples. Reducing the temperature to 8 °C significantly decreased the effect of US, but heating at 80 °C did not cause a significant effect as compared to treatments at 50 °C. On the other hand, treatment with 0.1 N EDTA at 50 °C enhanced the percentage of Cd released by approximately 7-fold, regardless of sonication. In the present work, the combination of US and EDTA at 50 °C for 5 min led to a significant reduction of the As (32%), Cd (52%) and I (31%) content in L. hyperborea, thus improving the product’s safety for consumers.

OBJETIVO: verificar a evolução na ingesta oral e a ocorrência de broncopneumonias (BCP) em pacientes hospitalizados com disfagia orofaríngea neurogênica, após atuação fonoaudiológica. MÉTODOS: 50 pacientes adultos, divididos em grupos: I: 31 pacientes pós-acidente vascular encefálico; II: sete pacientes pós-traumatismo crânio-encefálico; III: 12 pacientes com demência. Foram levantadas as informações antes e após a atuação fonoaudiológica: nível da Functional Oral Intake Scale (FOIS), ocorrência de BCP; número de atendimentos fonoaudiológicos e motivo de interrupção destes. RESULTADOS: houve aumento significativo dos níveis da escala FOIS e redução do percentual de ocorrência de BCP nos três grupos estudados. Nos grupos pós-AVE e demência a interrupção da fonoterapia ocorreu devido à alta hospitalar, enquanto que no grupo pós-TCE devido à alta fonoaudiológica. CONCLUSÃO: os pacientes deste estudo demonstraram avançar das consistências alimentares na ingesta oral, e redução da ocorrência de BCP, após a intervenção fonoaudiológica com relação à disfagia.

Suatu spesies harus memiliki satu taksonomi yang jelas dan disepakati secara global untuk mempermudah para peneliti dalam membahas suatu spesies. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi spesies ikan layang (Decapterus spp.) yang tertangkap di Perairan Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta secara morfologi, morfometrik, dan meristik. Ikan layang diperoleh dari tangkapan nelayan Sadeng pada bulan Maret-Juni 2019. Sampel yang diambil berjumlah 207 ekor. Identifikasi secara morfologi dilakukan dengan pengukuran 23 karakter truss morfometrik dan 6 karakter meristik. Analisis data morfometrik menggunakan Principal Component Analysis sedangkan data meristik dibandingkan dengan pustaka. Jenis ikan layang yang ditemukan di Perairan Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta berdasarkan identifikasi morfologi adalah Decapterus macrosoma. Karakter meristik di dapatkan rumus D1 VIII; D2 . I, 31-39; A. II, I, 25-32; P. 22-23; V. 23-30; L1 scute 23-40. Spesies layang yang ditemukan di Perairan Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dapat dibedakan secara morfometrik yaitu berdasarkan jarak akhir tulang kepala dengan bawah tutup insang, jarak akhir tulang kepala dengan sirip ventral, jarak sirip dorsal pertama dengan sirip ventral, jarak sirip dorsal pertama dengan sirip anal bagian depan, jarak sirip ventral dengan sirip dorsal kedua bagian depan dan jarak sirip anal bagian belakang dengan anal finlet bagian atas.

Nghiên cứu nhằm so sánh kết quả của GTNMC ngực có hỗ trợ của siêu âm để xác định khe liên đốt sống với GTNMC ngực thường quy dựa vào mốc giải phẫu. Nghiên cứu thử nghiệm lâm sàng ngẫu nhiên có đối chứng trên 63 bệnh nhân phẫu thuật ngực trên tại bệnh viện Đại học Y Hà Nội từ tháng 4 – 8 năm 2018, nhóm I: 31 BN GTNMC có hỗ trợ của siêu âm; Nhóm II: 32 BN GTNMC thường quy. Kết quả cho thấy tỷ lệ phù hợp giữa xác định vị trí khe liên đốt sống trên MGP so với trên SÂ là 63,3%. So sánh kết quả của GTNMC có hỗ trợ của siêu âm so với GTNMC thường quy: số lần chọc kim qua da và sự đổi vị trí khe đốt sống ít hơn, tỷ lệ GTNMC thành công sau lần chọc đầu tiên cao hơn, mức độ đau sau mổ (điểm VAS) thấp hơn. Kết quả ban đầu cho thấy GTNMC có hỗ trợ của siêu âm có kết quả tốt hơn GTNMC thường quy dựa vào mốc giải phẫu.
