This paper examines the status of Self-confidence trait. Two studies strongly suggest that Self-confidence is a component of metacognition. In the first study, participants (N=132) were administered measures of Self-concept, a newly devised Memory and Reasoning Competence Inventory (MARCI), and a Verbal Reasoning Test (VRT). The results indicate a significant relationship between confidence ratings on the VRT and the Reasoning component of MARCI. The second study (N=296) employed an extensive battery of cognitive tests and several metacognitive measures. Results indicate the presence of robust Self-confidence and Metacognitive Awareness factors, and a significant correlation between them. Self-confidence taps not only processes linked to performance on items that have correct answers, but also beliefs about events that may never occur.

Teaching and learning activities is a conscious activity and aims. Therefore, for these activities can be run well and achieve the expected goals, it must be done with the strategy or the right learning approach .. The purpose of this study were: 1) to describe the influence of Self-Concept on the results of studying chemistry at Class XI MA Pacet Mojokerto. 2) Describe the effect of self-efficacy on Learning outcomes chemistry in Class XI MA Pacet Mojokerto 3) Describe the effect of motivation on Learning outcomes chemistry in Class XI MA Pacet Mojokerto 4) Describe the relationship Self-concept, self-efficacy and motivation to Results studied chemistry at Class XI MA Pacet Mojokerto. From the results of the analysis can be summarized as follows: 1) There is a significant relationship between self-concept of the Learning outcomes chemistry inquiry model. T test against self-concept variables (X1) obtained regression coefficient (B) 0.440 (44.0%), coefficient (Beta) 0.091, tcount of 0.378 with significance 0.006 t. Because of the significance of t less than 5% (0.007 <0.05), the Nil Hypothesis (H0) is rejected and working hypothesis (Hi) is received. 2) There is a significant relationship between self-efficacy toward chemistry Learning outcomes inquiry model. T test for Self-efficacy variable (X2) obtained regression coefficient (B) 0.329 (32.9%), coefficient (Beta) 0.124, tcount of 0.436 with a significance of 0.009 t. Because of the significance of t less than 5% (0.008 <0.05), the Nil Hypothesis (H0) is rejected and working hypothesis (Hi) is received. 3) There is a significant relationship between motivation to learn chemistry results inquiry model. T test for motivation variable (X3) obtained regression coefficient (B) 0.130 (13.0%), coefficient (Beta) 0.065, tcount of 0.230 with a significance of 0.001 t. Because of the significance of t less than 5% (0.001 <0.05), the Nil Hypothesis (H0) is rejected and working hypothesis (Hi) received 4) From the calculation results obtained Fhitung value 2,249 (significance F = 0.001). So Fhitung> F table (2,249> 2:03) or Sig F <5% (0.001 <0.05). It means that together independent variables consisting of variable self-concept (X1), Self-efficacy (X2), motivation (X3) simultaneously to variable results of studying chemistry (Y).

Abstract The aim of this study is to furnish a reliable theoretical overview on metacognitive awareness. This research is carried out to (1) familiarize the researchers with the definition, components and sub-components of metacognitive awareness (2) discuss a brief outline of metacognitive awareness along with its origin and essence from the point of view of its historical development (3) link metacognitive awareness to a number of other constructs, including motivation (4) illustrate the features of self-regulated students and their recruited metacognitive strategies and (5) briefly examine the major challenges in the implementation of metacognitive awareness. In conclusion, this research reveals that the analysis of metacognitive awareness and its components gives rise to a new notion of auto-noetic (self) knowledge of learners through planning, monitoring and reflectively evaluating task performance, and creates higher levels of self-efficacy which provides students with different educational contexts in which they are able to have more self-confidence, get more positive feedback both from an instructor and classmates and cultivate in learners more self-regulatory characteristics that enable them to learn autonomously, be completely equipped with motivation and be welcoming to challenges. The study provides benefits to both learners and educators. Learners can receive guidance on how to foster metacognitive awareness for being more competent learners. Furthermore, it provides meaningful insights for curriculum developers to provide metacognitive awareness-based curricula.

Background: Depression is a state of psychological disease that occurs to someone divers in age due to certain reasons. Among the factors include lack of self-confidence, problematic family, stress, low self-esteem and social environment. It could lead to a mental disorder that endangers the mental health. Aim: To investigate the status of children depression using the Children Depression Inventory (CDI) at 21 shelter care institutions in Terengganu Malaysia. Methodology: Quantitative research design was used. The sample consists of 404 respondents from 21 Islamic shelter cares such as Tahfiz, Madrasah and Orphanage in Terengganu Malaysia from the age of 10 to 18 years. Data was analyzed using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Discriminant Analysis (DA) which then computed to identify the most dominant factors whereas reducing the initial five parameters with recommended >0.50 of factor loading. Results: Forward stepwise of DA shows the total of groups validation percentage by 92.08% (17 independent). The result showed that the highest frequency of respondent index was at a moderate level (62.87% respondents). This showed that children still can be controlled and cared to reduce depression. Keywords: Children Depression Index, Depression, Children, Institution, Shelter Care

Abstract Background Marital burnout is an important issue in marriage and many factors play an important role in this phenomenon. The aim of this study was to determine the status of marital burnout and the factors affecting married women who were referred to health centers because of it. Methods In this study, 936 women were selected by multistage sampling and data collection was performed using questionnaires of demographic and couple burnout. Data analysis was performed using SPSS software version 24. Results The mean (± SD) of marital burnout, in this study, was 55.46 (± 18.03) (out of 147 score). There was a significant relationship between the level of women's education with total marital burnout, and the subscales of somatic and emotional burnout (P < 0.05). A significant relationship was also observed between mandatory marriage and total marital burnout, as well as subscales of somatic, emotional, and psychological burnout (P < 0.05). A significant relationship was detected and observed between women's participation in training courses of communication skills and total marital burnout, inclusive of the subscales regarding psychological burnout (P < 0.05). The results of linear regression showed a significant relationship between mandatory in marriage, marital satisfaction, marriage duration, and husband's level of education with women's marital burnout. The variables were finally able to predict 12% of marital burnout variance. It should be noted that marital satisfaction had a higher effect on predicting marital burnout (P < 0.001). Conclusions Marital satisfaction was one of the effective factors in predicting marital burnout, so it can be concluded that it is necessary to pay more attention to this issue. Educational programs and examining the factors that enhance marital satisfaction are needed to prevent and reduce marital burnout in married couples.

The purpose of this study was to explore the status and experiences of women in collegiate choral conducting positions. Out of all collegiate choral conductors ( N = 992) at institutions accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music in the United States, 68.65% ( n = 681) were men and 31.35% ( n = 311) were women at the time of this study; I invited the women collegiate choral conductors to serve as study participants. Ninety-six respondents completed an online survey, resulting in a response rate of 30.86%. I collected data through a researcher-designed survey. First, I asked respondents to provide demographic information and respond to Likert-type and open-ended prompts related to three domains: gaining entry into the profession, navigating the profession, and issues surrounding gender. I analyzed data through descriptive statistics and qualitative methods of assigning codes, combining codes into themes, and displaying the data. I addressed general discrepancies in the self-reported attitudes of respondents. Although women reported an overall attitude of satisfaction as choral conductors in their Likert-type responses, many respondents detailed several instances of gender discrimination and other challenges in their open-ended responses. Implications for the music profession, including specific strategies to help empower women in collegiate choral conducting settings, are discussed.

The purpose of this work was to analyze the specific relationship between parental involvement, dimensions of student self-concept and achievement. 503 students of Secondary Education (ESO) and the first year of Baccalaureate course participated in the study. Data were collected using two questionnaires (Family Involvement Questionnaire and Self-Concept Scale for Adolescents) and academic achievement scores. Data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of variance and paths analysis. The results obtained suggest a significant relationship between the dimensions of perceived family involvement and the dimensions of self-concept (except for parents' praise behaviors). What's more, the relationship between perceived family involvement and achievement is partially mediated by the academic self-concept.

Abstract Background: Amongst other objectives, the National Drug Policy was designed to improve access to medicines, whilst also stimulating socioeconomic development. The policy was also intended to promote pharmaceutical research and development in Nigeria. Despite its criticality in the achievement of national Medicines’ Security, evidence suggests a policy failure with consequent implications on attendant national health indices. This study aimed at assessing the views of pharmaceutical sector practitioners and other stakeholders, on the status quo as well as on strategies that can improve access to health whilst developing the sector. Methods: Data were collected using questionnaires which were administered to stakeholders present during an event that focused on improving the Nigerian pharmaceutical sector. Questionnaires were completed and returned. Quantitative data were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences, whilst textual data were analysed using thematic analysis. Results: Majority (48%) of the study participants indicated that current policy ecosystem was hostile for pharmaceutical sector growth and development. Also, a considerable proportion (97.3%) of the study participants indicated that increased investment in health research could stimulate the development of the pharmaceutical sector. Majority of the study participants indicated the need for collaboration between pharmaceutical companies, research institutes and the petrochemical industry. Conclusions: This study consequently identified several critical factors that can stimulate development in the sector, including increased funding of research; stringent implementation of existing policies; and prioritization of pharmaceutical sector by government and other key stakeholders.

The paper presents the interdisciplinary analysis of the determinants of the system of self-communication discourse and internal dialogue as the forms of objectivation of human mental content focused on some actions for meeting some objectives. The author describes discourse as integration of communication and language processes in self-understanding and personal identity. Contextually determined and dynamic self-communication discourse, as a way of acquirement of new senses and confirmation of old ones, verbalizes current personal values. The study results reveal the characteristics and relations of the internal dialogue discourse determinants within the human objectivity–subjectivity continuum. Discourse determinants prescribe its context and rules and include the prototype place and agents with their motives and objectives. Self-positions manifested in Self and Non-Self (Other Self) binary self-predications form the core pair of agents. The modality of a person’s attitude to own Self-positions makes their communications a dialogue or a monologue on the boundary of their sub-territories as a discourse prototype place. The degree of discourse agency, its closeness within the prototype place, or transgression openness depends on the complexity and differentiation of Self-concept and ego boundaries functionality. The frustration of meta-necessity to keep self-confidence and self-acceptance by reassessment and reformation of interrelations of Self-positions determines the motives and objectives of self-communication. The common goal of self-organization is implemented through the internal dialogue in the form of institutionalization, verification, and integration of their Self-predications. Status-role characteristics of agents and functionality of discourse prototype place determine the specificity of its motives and objectives according to the systemic effects of Self-organization.
