Bad quality of infrastructure and slow economic development, which is damaged by emigration, made bad influence on the number of inhabitants of the Goc Mountain. According depopulation, population density was reduced too. Tendencies in the changes of number of households and tendencies in the changes of number of population are different. Disappearing of patriarchal family is the evident on the Goc Mountain. Verification of that fact is in the decreasing in number of members in the households. Regional road (R-222) was built in 1939. It was set up through Stanisinci. Because of that, life quality in village Stanisinci was better than Goc. It was the good solution for slowdown of emigration and decreasing of population number in the second half of XX century. Precondition for development promotion of the Goc Mountain is in work on infrastructure quality. Municipality of Vrnjacka Banja plans to use tourism industry for revitalization of settlements on the Goc Mountain.

The paper raises the question: is there a connection between infrastructure security, population density, the level of economic activity expressed in terms of the volume of output, production and services in the context of municipalities of the Rostov region. The models of the spatial lag SAR and the spatial error SEM were tested. For both regressants – population density and volume of output – SAR turned out to be the best model for all types of distance matrices under consideration. The results showed that currently there is an imbalance in the development of Rostov’s municipalities. The Rostov agglomeration “pulls” the population from the outskirts of the region, which leads to an unbalanced development of territories. The low level of infrastructure provision in the Eastern and South-Eastern municipalities of the region is a deterrent to the development of territories and slows down the pace of their socio-economic development. In order to reduce the differentiation of the regional space in terms of population, level of life quality in municipalities, furthermore it is crucial to carry out comprehensive work on the creation and further development of infrastructure facilities that meet modern requirements.

It is a common fact that the confinement and to become unfunctional of the historical factories due to they have remained behind of technological improvement, not been managed effectively and polluted to the environment. However, their falling into disuse the demolition and the destruction of these buildings cannot be accepted. A lot of factories in Türkiye that have been able to reach today from the industrial background had been demolished for their land value, and a few of them had been re-functioned by transforming. These plants as contributes to the economic development of the countries and bears the stamp of the past, also could be re-evaluated and transferred to future generations by preserving their original identities. With the transformation of a historical plant, not only an industrial heritage would be protected but also this act would contribute to the economic development and cultural significance of the urban, and improve the quality of life. On this issue, there are lots of examples in Western countries. In this study, a succesful transformation sample from Canada-Toronto has been handled. In Distillery Region where has a significant role in the establishment, enrichment and physical embodiment of the city of Toronto, the regeneration/transformation process has been achieved thus the region has been redounded to tourism industry. In the study, the development of Distilery and its meaning for the urban is stated, the transformation process and its effect on urban is discussed and at this issue some suggestions are made while determining the deficiencies in Türkiye.

The paper describes the approaches of the contemporary authors to assessing the quality of the regions economic space. The author's method for assessing the economic space quality by five blocks of indicators is presented in the paper: indicators of population density and economic activity; indicators of population distribution and economic activity; indicators of the territory economic development; indicators of connectivity and the level of transport infrastructure development; indicators of the level and quality of the population life. This method was tested by the example of the European North of Russia regions. The regions were ranked based on the rating, and the total rating for each block was compiled based on the sum of points. The Vologda oblast is the leader in the context of the population density and economic activity, it has the highest scores on all points except for the economic activity density indicator. In terms of population distribution and economic activity three regions scored the same number of points: the republics of Karelia and Komi, as well as the Vologda oblast. The leader of the rating in the sense of the territories economic development is the Murmansk region, which has the best results in the matter of investments in fixed assets and paid services. From the viewpoint of connectivity and the level of transport communication, the highest quality of economic space is in the Vologda region, and the lowest one is in the Republic of Komi. As regards the level and quality of the population life, the Murmansk region tops the list, and the Republic of Karelia closes the rating. The results of the study can be useful for public authorities in finding and identifying effective methods and tools to create a highquality economic space.

The aim of the present study is to evaluate life quality of people suffering from RA and determine the influence of illness duration and degree of pain intensity on their quality of life. The group of subjects comprised of 189 people: 104 (55.03%) with diagnosed RA and 85 (44.97%) healthy people as control group. Mean age in the group of ill subjects was 57.66 ±11.30 and 68 ±8.99 in the control group. In the research, self-constructed questionnaire, Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and shortened version of WHOQoL-Bref were used. Assumed significance level was p < 0.05. Patients with RA received statistically significantly lower scores of life quality in all domains as compared with the control group. In the group of ill subjects, social domain (14.91 ±2.40) obtained highest scores whereas physical domain received lowest scores (11.96 ±1.69). The main somatic issue connected with the illness reported by 95.19% of subjects was experienced joint pain. Mean degree of perceived pain in VAS scale reached 7.37 ±1.86 points and it significantly lowered life quality of ill subjects. The results regarding life quality in four life domains (i.e. physical, psychological, social and environmental) were definitely better than in the control group.

Abstract Background Two common consequences of rapid economic development in developing countries are the improvement of residents’ quality of life but also environmental destruction. This study focuses on the relationship between residents’ perceptions on the life quality and their perception of environmental crises in China. The purpose of this study is to answer why people in developing countries have relatively high tolerance for environmental pollution caused by rapid economic development. Methods Using ordered logistic regression models and the multi-level mixed effect ordinal regression model, and the data of the 2014 China Labour-force Dynamics Survey, 10,849 responses were analysed to evaluate public perceptions of living-environment crises. Specifically, perceptions relating to the following four living-environment crises were evaluated: (1) (un)employment; (2) public safety; (3) infectious disease; (4) pollution. Results We found that respondents with higher levels of subjective well-being, social status, and sense of neighbourhood security expressed a lower level of concern for living-environment crises. The concern of urban residents was also significantly higher than that of rural residents for living-environment crisis. For rural respondents, neighbourhood population density was negatively correlated with the perception of employment, public safety, and infectious disease crises. For urban respondents, neighbourhood population density was positively correlated to the perception of public safety and pollution crises, and neighbourhood average income was positively correlated to the perception of infectious disease and pollution risks. Conclusions Rapid economic development has greatly improved people’s well-being, but it has also produced many environmental pollution problems. To a certain extent, the improvement of the well-being will alleviate people’s worries about environmental pollution caused by the development of economy.

The position in the peripheral, mountainous part of Serbia, made Tutin area isolated for a long time. The continual decrease of the number of inhabitants is the result of the weak economic development, of the decrease of the natural growth and emigration. The process of population redistribution is the result of the increase of urban and the decrease of rural population. There is a great number of rural inhabitants, and a great number of small settlements of scattered and spilled type. The changes of population number also influenced the changes of the number of households their structure, as well as the population density. Stopping of the further decrease of population is possible by developing economic branches based on the natural resources of the territory, infrastructure, small economy and tourism.
