The model of Questions Answering (Q&A) for eLearning is based on collaborative learning through questions that are posed by students and their answers to that questions which are given by peers, in contrast with the classical model in which students ask questions to the teacher only. In this proposal we extend the Q&A model including the social presence concept and a quantitative measure of it is proposed; besides it is considered the evolution of the resulting Q&A social network after the inclusion of the social presence and taking into account the feedback on questions posed by students and answered by peers. The social network behaviorwas simulated using a Multi-Agent System to compare the proposed social presence model with the classical and the Q&A models. Keywords: Social presence, social network, eLearning, Q&A Model, MultiAgent System.

This article aims to develop a new environment of collaborative learning, by taking into account the criteria of construction of knowledge by the apprentices and the adaptative management of that knowledge by artificial agents. The multi-agent technology has been chosen due to the possibility of having artificial agents with internal decision processes to help students in the construction of their own projects and enabling learning objects available in accordance with the cognitive characteristics of the students and of their group. In this multi-agent system, exchanges of messages between the agents can occur so that they can perform theirs tasks in the best possible way.

We present a system based on the need of special infrastructure adequate to software agents to operate, to compose and make sense from the contents of the Web resources through the development of a multi-agent system oriented services interactions. Our method follows the different construction ontology techniques and updates them by extracting new terms and integrate them to the ontology. It is based on the detection phrases via the ontological database DBPedia. The system treats each syntagme extracted from the corpus of messages and verifies whether it is possible to associate them directly to a DBPedia knowledge. In case of failure, these service agents interact with each other in order to find the best possible answer to the problem, by operating directly in the phrase, trying to semantically modify it, until the association with ontological knowledge becomes possible. The advantage of our approach is its modularity : it is both possible to add / modify / delete a service or define a new one, and then influence the outcome product. We could compare the results extracted from a heterogeneous body of messages from the Twitter social network with Tagme method, based mainly on storage and annotation of encyclopaedic corpus.

The article poses the problem of modeling processes associated with the construction of large-scale infrastructural projects in the context of the Bering Strait tunnel (road construction in the Far North). The purpose of the simulation is to identify potential problems and estimate losses for various participants in similar projects. The study is based on such a simulation method as multi-agent modeling. The article describes the basics of building the topology of a multi-agent system in relation to this task: decomposing a process into subprocesses, identifying the main active agents, describing of the characteristics (attributes) of these agents, determining the type of their interaction. The article also presents a graph that is the prototype of a multi-agent system for a specific subject area and a description of the interactions of the identified agents.

The social nature of mobile agent and its ability to carry its principal’s confidential information necessitate the need to secure its communication with other agent(s) in an agent system. Most importantly, an agent communication security mechanism must be able to prevent unknown or visiting agent from participating in legitimate agent communication. Most of such mechanisms adopt two-pass authentication technique without due consideration of the enormous overheads generated by the mechanisms. These overheads are more noticeable in multi-agent system based applications with large number of agents such as smart grid. The main focus of this paper therefore, is to design a lightweight mechanism for agent communication confidentiality protection in a local area network (LAN) or intranet using one-pass authentication approach. The proposed mechanism adopted both symmetric and asymmetric cryptosystems to protect agent certificate transmission between task agents and agent execution host. The results show that the memory utilization, communication and computation costs of the proposed mechanism are remarkably lower than that of the two-pass authentication based mechanisms.
