This paper discusses the dynamic behavior of the stand-alone parallel operation system using two wind turbine-generators by our dynamic simulation model. The stand-alone parallel operation system is composed of two Darrieus-Savonius hybrid turbines, two load induction generators, one inverter, batteries, and one controller. This system is mainly operated at the maximum power coefficient points of two parallel turbines by the inverter frequency control for a simple system composition and high power extraction. The computed results of the dynamic behavior of the system to various wind speed changes shows that our control scheme of the parallel operation system is effective.

This paper proposes a kind of on-line control system for operation mode in substations, which can read data on-line from EMS, and then calculate total loss of substations in parallel operation, split operation or individual operation mode. According to the result, the system can select the most optimized way and feed the conclusion back to EMS, which can make substations operate in the most optimized way. The system is suitable for optimization of substation in rural power grid.

Due to the natural environment, geographic location, the technical conditions and restrictions of many factors, centralized parallel operation of power grid the west extension and popularization in our country with high difficulty and feasibility. The distributed photovoltaic power generation possesses the following advantages: less investment, flexibility and compatibility. The joint operation of DG with power grid brings tremendous variation in control and operation for modern power system, ultimately the stability of power supply is enhanced and the life quality of residents is improved in western region of China. This paper explores the operation mode of distributed photovoltaic power generation in remote areas, and introduces the concrete operation mode of the project, analyzes the adaptability of distributed photovoltaic mode. Finally, the feasibility of the application of the distributed photovoltaic power generation in the western region of China is analyzed in this paper.
