This study aims at designing a database system processes sales, inventory, and goods tracking in accordance with the needs of PT Citra Abadi Abhimata, as well as building the application program. This system records each process in a flow of goods, ranging from the entry of the principal goods until the goods are sold to end customers plus goods tracking. This study uses the fact finding method carried out by a direct field study at the company concerned, interviews with relevant parties, studying the company’s documentation, and literary study of textbooks. Furthermore, database design uses the three design concepts (conceptual design, logical design and physical design), as well as the interface design to create the application program. The result obtained is a data base system and application that can improve the company’s performance since data is stored on a regular basis so that it can be easily obtained when needed. The existence of this database design, along with related application, makes the company easier to manage data and monitor the process of goods flow and produce better work.

This research is based on the rapid development of the culinary and information technology. The difficulties in communicating with the culinary expert and on recipe documentation make a proper support for media very important. Therefore, a web-based database application for the public is important to help the culinary community in communication, searching and recipe management. The aim of the research was to design a web-based database application that could be used as social media for the culinary community. This research used literature review, user interviews, and questionnaires. Moreover, the database system development life cycle was used as a guide for designing a database especially for conceptual database design, logical database design, and physical design database. Web-based application design used eight golden rules for user interface design. The result of this research is the availability of a web-based database application that can fulfill the needs of users in the culinary field related to communication and recipe management.

Database technologies are a core component of computing technology curricula. Their importance will only continue to expand as more and more data are retained in database systems. An effective database system is predicated on a good data model. Database design is the conceptualization of an underlying data model that progresses from identifying user requirements to graphically depicting those requirements and finally mapping the graphical models to a set of tables implemented in a physical database system. The abstract nature of much of database design makes it challenging to teach. This paper presents a set of software animations designed to support the teaching of database design concepts. Topic areas covered include mapping problem descriptions to Entity Relationship (ER) diagrams, mapping ER diagrams to tables, normalization and denormalization and comparison of various ER notation sets. The animations are fairly intuitive to use and are independent of any specific database text or product. They are intended to provide supplemental instructional support and also provide students with additional learning opportunities.

The purpose of this research is to analyze and implement a system for recording employee working time and project time, leave request, overtime request, proposal submission, and paperwork revisions registration at PT Rekayasa Engineering. Collecting information is conducted by surveys to the company, interviews with several employees in the company, and examining documents and procedures used by PT Rekayasa Engineering. The database design is created using lifecycle methodology, namely: conceptual design, logical design, and physical design. The result of this research is a database system which is designed and can be used to process operational procedures of the company and to record the working time and project needed by the PT Rekayasa Engineering. Furthermore, this research also produces a prototype application that can be used as a working model for the system. Using the new database system and the application, information needed by the company is fulfilled. Thus, it allows the company to work more effectively and efficiently.

A major limitation in traditional class lectures that use textbooks, handouts, transparencies and assignments is that students often are unable to “experience” user interface design. This limitation can be overcome by using the constructionist approach, which allows students to experience user interface design by letting them “do” or “construct” so that they can understand and remember. This paper describes an Internet-based interactive case scenario that was developed, based on the constructionist approach, to teach students user interface design concepts in conjunction with the Questionnaire for User Interaction Satisfaction (QUIS). A proof of concept evaluation was conducted and the results indicate that this approach is effective in user interface design pedagogy.

Combining the successful applications in AI, in this paper, an expert system is studied and designed for evaluating the safety of hydraulic metal structures, whose goal is compute the reliability of hydraulic metal structures. Applying the techniques of AI, a framework is made up for evaluating the safety of hydraulic metal structures. The framework of knowledge base system is designed and presented with the domain knowledge. Based on the theory of relational database, the conceptual and logical views of database system are designed and analysed. Additionally, method base system is designed. A practical example is given to illustrate the process of using this system. This system has features of practical and advanced and expand.

The Cost

Based on the analysis of the workflow patterns, this paper designs the active state of the workflow, and puts forward the idea of the logical design of the engine driven. It can conveniently define the information model of the workflow based on relational database systems, it can effectively reduce the difficulty on the technical development of the workflow engine and take full advantage of existing relational database system to realize the information system that has the nature of the workflow and reduce the cost of the implementation.

Privatization of criminal prosecution — a royal road or a wrong track?The comprehensive use of private individuals by the company management for the systematic clearance of suspected economic crimes has been for decades a tried and tested fact-finding method in the US legal system. In Germany this form of corporate private investigations took not place or was unknown to the public prosecution. This changed dramatically with the discovery of spectacular corruption affairs with international relation in 2007. “Internal Investigations” have developed since then to a lucrative commercial model particularly for American solicitor’s offices, because only these are accepted by the American authorities America only.However, the adherence to examination standards of a state under the rule of law must be also protected in the job. The judiciary must win back the inquiry sovereignty in the fight against economic crime.The fight against international economic crime can no longer be left to a single country alone. The fight against anti-competitive corruption should be a priority for the entire community. As an adequate means supplements to the Convention on the Fight against Corruption of the Council of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development OECD on the Laws of Transnational Criminal Prosecution of Economic Offenses come into consideration.

In Gunungkidul district, there are many tourist destinations that are worth visiting and have become tourist destinations from various regions outside Gunungkidul district. The context of the problem that underlies this research is the growing interest in developing applications through online map services using Google maps. The purpose of building a google map-based tourist destination information application is to make it easier for tourists to get tourist destination information through an integrated map with the web. The method used to gather needs and analysis is a fact-finding method with conducting unstructured interviews. The author also made direct observations on the spot, this method is very effective for analyzing and discovering system functions and gaining direct knowledge about activities, operations, and processes. The results of this study are database design that has been normalized to the 3rd normal form, and the application of travel information on Google maps. Through functional testing, this application has run well using travel data taken directly in Gunungkidul district.
