Introduction. The article is devoted to analysis of the indicators’ dynamic that characterizes the quality of working life level in the Russian industrial sector. The aim of research is to identify and assess the influence of working life quality on economic efficiency of labor.Methods. The system of indicators for the period from 2005 to 2015 is determined on the basis of the analysis of existing assessment methods of working life quality and on official statistics data, which reflects the main elements of working life quality. Therefore, the most significant indicators of working life elements in terms of labor efficiency are determined by means of correlation analysis.Results. It is revealed that social guarantees, decent wages and safe working conditions, i.e. objective characteristics of working life quality, have the greatest impact on labor efficiency. As a result, the subjective characteristics such as job satisfaction and opportunities for self-expression and selfrealization, despite the long period of the market economy development, continue to play a secondary role. The demonstrated problem confirms the fact that the main block of working life quality for industrial workers is not fully ensured and is deterrent to the growth of labor efficiency as a socio-economic category.Discussion and conclusions. The results of this research indicate the availability of reserves to improve labor efficiency through the usage of modern methods of production organization to ensure economic conditions of decent work of industrial workers.

The industrial sector is one of the important sector in supporting the development of a region. Utilization of land around the river that is used for industrial activities will affect the quality of river water. The river can be polluted by waste personinating from industries that operating around the river. The catchment area that used for industry, agriculture, urban development, and the use of land for making roads (gravel or footpaths) can affect the flow of surface water and sediments that it brings to the river. Waste generated from industrial activities can pollute rivers which are a source of water for daily needs and affect the development of biota in them. This can affect river water quality

In this chapter, a brief general introduction focuses on the well-known topologies of wind energy conversion systems (WECS), on proposed controls and generators by the scientific researchers. Splitting the exergy destruction within each component of an energy conversion system into endogenous/exogenous and unavoidable/avoidable parts enhances an exergy analysis and improves the quality of the conclusions obtained from the analysis. The potential for improving each system component is identified and priorities, according to which the design of components should be modified, are established. We call this detailed exergy analysis advanced exergy analysis. For improving the cost effectiveness of an energy conversion system, splitting the investment cost into endogenous/exogenous and unavoidable/avoidable parts is also helpful. The designer should focus on the avoidable thermodynamic inefficiencies (exergy destruction), their costs and the avoidable investment costs. The paper discusses the calculation of these costs in general and the resulting advanced exergoeconomic evaluation that is based on the avoidable endogenous and the avoidable exogenous values for exergy destruction, cost of exergy destruction and investment cost. An application of this methodology to a compression refrigeration machine is presented.

This work aimed to evaluate the antioxidant effect determined by the addition of phenolic extract on the oxidative stability and quality of vegan mayonnaise. Two different antioxidant extracts containing 100 mg L−1 of hydroxytyrosol and obtained by olive mill wastewater were used in the preparation. After preliminary studies, already evaluated in other works, on hydrophilic and lipophilic food matrices, the results of this study could contribute to understanding the effects of the enrichment on emulsified food systems with phenolic extracts. The functionalized mayonnaise samples were monitored up to 45 days of storage at 10 °C in comparison with a control sample for microbiological, physicochemical, antioxidant, sensory properties and for oxidative stability. The results achieved through this work showed the efficacy of the use of phenolic extract as ingredients for its positive effect on chemical properties of mayonnaise. The adding extracts lead to the increase of oxidative stability with an induction period higher (about 24 h) than the control sample (about 12 h).

The objectives of this article are to seek the opportunity to enhance the local Indonesia timber material physical performances (encompassing the low-class quality of III and IV timbers with the Modulus of Elasticity (MOE) = 5,000 - 9,000 MPa) utilizing laminated composite technology to become higher-class timber quality (class II) with the Modulus of Elasticity (MOE)> 15,000 MPa so that it can be used as an alternative material for constructing the bridge mainframe structures (girder beams) especially for the Indragiri Hilir regency, Riau Province, Indonesia. This regency needs several hundred small-medium bridges for connecting 20 districts, 39 wards, and 197 villages using local materials such as local timbers. This laminating technology is not a new technology but the utilization of this technology for constructing the main bridges structures is challenging and limited to the implementation in the civil construction industrial sector. This study composed 2 types of the low-class quality (lcq) of timber materials (such as Shorea sp and Shorea peltata Sym) and 2 types of medium class-quality (mcq) ones (Dipterocarpus and Calophyllum) for constructing the main bridge structures. Based on the laboratory test results utilizing 80% of lcq materials and 20% mcq ones, these composite timber materials may increase the timbers MOE by 145% to 166% from the existing MOE value of the mcq solid timbers. Based on the simulations these laminated composites wooden bridge girders 2 x (70x20) m2, these timber materials have passed all the tests and the application of this technology may improve the lcq timber values and it could be used for an alternative material of the bridge girder's main structures.

This work aimed to characterize the physicochemical parameters and technological properties of breasts from poultry with WS and compare them with normal breasts to evaluate breast quality. Poultry breast fillets (10 normal and 10 carcasses with WS) were White Striping (WS) is a major problem that compromise the quality of the meat. Occurrence of WS on the surface of chicken breasts impairs the visual appearance and consequently decreases consumer acceptance causing damage to the industrial sector. obtained from a slaughterhouse. Then they were weighed, packaged and stored in the freezer at -20°C until analysis of: pH, moisture, protein, lipids, lipid oxidation, warmed-over flavor (WOF), water holding capacity (WHC), cooking loss (CL), exudate protein content (EP) and myofibrillar fragmentation index (MFI) of proteins. The physicochemical characteristics and technological parameters of poultry breasts with WS compromised the quality of the product when compared to the normal breast showing heavier breasts, increasing moisture, lipid content, lipid oxidation and WOF, reduction in total protein content and WHC and an increase in CL, EP content and MFI of proteins. Therefore, this myopathy showed changes in the physical and chemical parameters that can compromise the technological and sensory aspects of meat products, affecting their quality.

At the level of municipal territories a comprehensive assessment of water use in the Khanka Lake basin, including point sources of polluting substances discharge by water use industrial enterprises, has been conducted. The composition of sewage with an indication of distinctive pollutants for every territory and industrial sector is analyzed. Watercourses for which the volumes of pollutants discharges are the largest are identified. The most polluted of them over the many years are shown to be the small rivers with low self-cleaning capability. The modern and retrospective features of the river water quality in the Khanka Lake basin are analyzed, and the dynamics of the quality of some watercourses using calculated pollution indices is estimated.
