Company is more aware that knowledge management is one of the important factors because it gives competitive advantages for them. Knowledge is intellectual asset that is owned by individual or company. Knowledge becomes very useful if it is documented or stored, organized, shared to others and can be understood and applied. Knowledge Management System (KMS) is made to manage knowledge. KMS does identifying process, capturing, organizing and disseminating knowledge. Technology is one of three model of KM that supports the implementation of KM. This time there are various options of technology that support the KM implementation for companies. The chapter deals with knowledge management principles and their implication to knowledge in management represented by contemporary sophisticated management tools and systems. The most important management branches and methods, tools and systems, generally considered as very helpful for professional business operating, are presented. Further research results of management tools knowledge in contemporary enterprises are presented impacting the need of education and knowledge transfer in management responsible positions. The need of management knowledge for the competitiveness of enterprises is accented. Business and competitive intelligence as media for competitiveness are introduced. In the last part of the chapter, a model of the knowledge management system applicable in SMEs is suggested. The purpose of the chapter is to make the reader familiar with some of the most important management tools, methods and systems and suggest principles for an easy and effective knowledge management system in the enterprise.

Organisasi yang hidup pada saat ini telah dihadapkan pada suatu lingkungan kompleks yang menuntut organisasi harus bersaing dengan cara yang cerdas, suatu cara dimana organisasi mampu membaca dan merespon tanda - tanda perubahan yang terjadi dalam lingkungan kompetisi secara cepat, tepat dan efisien. Salah satu cara cerdas yang dapat dilakukan organisasi adalah dengan cara memanfaatkan knowledge sebagai kekuatan yang dapat mendorong produktivitas dan meningkatkan inovasi. Universitas XYZ melalui subunit Office Of International Affair memiliki potensi untuk memperoleh dan menciptakan knowledge - knowledge baru melalui kerjasama internasional dengan Universitas Youngsan di Korea Selatan yang mana knowledge - knowledge baru tersebut nantinya dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menciptakan inovasi dan meningkatkan competitive advantages. Selaku anggota organisasi, kurangnya kontribusi dan kesadaran knowledge worker dalam berbagi knowledge yang dimilikinya baik itu kepada sesama knowledge worker ataupun kepada organisasi menjadi suatu permasalahan yang dapat menghalangi Universitas XYZ dalam memperoleh potensinya tersebut. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut maka perlu dilakukan perancangan suatu knowledge management system (KMS) yang dapat menanamkan suatu pola pikir bahwa knowledge bukan hanya sebagai possession object yang hanya dimiliki setiap knowledge worker tetapi juga menjadikan knowledge sebagai practice object yang dapat ditransfer dan digunakan kembali oleh knowledge worker lain untuk menciptakan knowledge baru agar knowledge itu menjadi berkembang. The 10-Step Knowledge Management Roadmap yang dikemukakan oleh Amrit Tiwana menjadi panduan yang digunakan untuk melakukan perencanaan, perancangan dan penerapan KMS dalam organisasi. Analisis infrastruktur, menghubungkan knowledge management dan strategi organisasi, merancang KMS platform, identifikasi knowledge yang ada dalam organisasi, merancang tim KMS dan membuat blueprint KMS berdasarkan 7 layer KMS arsitektur adalah 6 dari 10 langkah yang dilakukan untuk menciptakan suatu rancangan KMS. Blueprint knowledge management system adalah hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan. Blueprint dirancang sesuai dengan hasil analisis terhadap beberapa aspek yang telah dijabarkan dalam The 10-Step Knowledge Management Roadmap. Dengan adanya blueprint knowledge management system ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan inovasi dan mempermudah Office Of International Affair dalam pengambilan keputusan guna memecahkan masalah yang sering terjadi ataupun masalah unik yang akan terjadi nanti.

Abstract Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) have a strategic role in development and have chosen as the main work program of the government. In order to compete, the SMEs must make technology as the main supporting infrastructure for UMKM activities. The importance of knowledge as a strategic asset in UMKM encourages the need for a knowledge management system (KMS). Knowledge and experience are sustainable resources as competitive advantages. Therefore, it is necessary to build a Knowledge Management System information system that is used to store and utilize the knowledge possessed to find solutions to problems that should be addressed by UMKM. The KMS will help UMKM to share their experiences and knowledge. User Centered Design (UCD) is the method chosen because each stage involves the UMKM Diskop and the UMKM users. Through the use of mobile technology, that is widely used by the community, an android-based knowledge management system was created to support the development of UMKM in the city of Bekasi.   Keywords:  Business Actors, Knowledge Management, SMEs, System Design, UCD   Abstrak   Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) mempunyai peranan strategis terhadap pembangunan, sehingga dijadikan program kerja utama pemerintah. Oleh karena itu perlunya membangun sistem informasi Knowledge Management System (KMS) yang digunakan untuk menyimpan dan memanfaatkan knowledge yang dimiliki untuk menemukan solusi dari masalah yang di hadapi UMKM. KMS yang dibuat akan membantu pelaku UMKM untuk berbagi pengalaman maupun pengetahuan yang dimiliki. User Centered Design (UCD) merupakan metode yang dipilih karena setiap tahapannya melibatkan Diskop UMKM dan pelaku UMKM sebagai user. Knowledge management is an activity that organizations use to achieve goals and gain competitive advantages. This study features a systematic literature review that discusses the implementation of knowledge management in organizations covering 39 articles published from 2015 to 2020. This study aims to answer four research questions. The results show that the trend of knowledge management research in Indonesia is dominated by research related to the designing of knowledge management systems. The application of knowledge management in Indonesia has been applied in various fields. There are various models and methods that can be used in creating a knowledge management system

Knowledge management is many things to different people. Within complex organizations, this reality needs to be acknowledged. For an organization to utilize and enhance knowledge for competitive advantages, systems and culture need to be analyzed within the context of an organization’s strategy. Once analyzed, an honest appraisal of the knowledge systems in place and those needed to fulfill the strategic goals of the organization will have to be performed. For everyone within an organization to be able to “pull in the same direction” and achieve maximum value from a knowledge management system, that system will have to mean the same thing to all. If a knowledge management system is to be central in maintaining a competitive advantage for organizations, it will engulf the organization. To understand financial systems, audits are undertaken to ensure that systems provide the information as expected. It is well understood that for financial information to be meaningful, it must be understood. To be understood, it must be logically prepared and presented in a manner useful and timely to the end user. Through an audit process of this nature performed on knowledge management systems within the context of business strategy and culture, an organization learns what is needed to get their divergent individuals on the same page, as it were, to fulfill the promise of enhancing its most valuable resource in a competitive world. This chapter examines how to systematically conduct a knowledge management audit. By design, the audit was simplified and designed around a single specific issue. By breaking apart where the organization needs to go and combining it with a study of what it will take to get there from a knowledge management systems standpoint, individuals can come together to build the framework literally from the ground up. Companies can use this framework to assess how they plan with knowledge management as the central, differentiating factor in their business strategy.

The importance of knowledge to human development is beyond doubt. Efficient knowledge management can reduce learning time and avoid repeating mistakes. Many enterprises have applied knowledge management in their organizations to increase the knowledge value of their organizations and effectively enhance their competitiveness. This study generalizes a conclusion from the collection of knowledge management process, and proposes the Library Knowledge Management Process (LKMP) of school. According to the LKMP, the study establishes a Library Process-based Knowledge Management System (LPKMS), and designs the questionnaire to collect the opinions of the system users.

Knowledge Management System (KMS) is a collective process of organizational knowledge from capturing to dissemination. The three fourth of world’s corporate market value resides today in assets such as intellectual property, customer data, financial records, strategies and trade secrets. These assets are all knowledge based. KMS becomes inexorable to achieve competitive advantages in this present information and communication technology epoch. However Lack of effectiveness in knowledge Management System is turmoil to any organization due to its integrated domain. But an effective KMS can helps to organization to achieve tremendous benefits such as competitive advantages, innovation, leadership, social values, increased customer satisfactions, quality in product, financial credibility and people values, So knowledge management system needs to consider significant views such as technical, functional, people and organization image for effectiveness. Almost all the research works related to quality model for KMS are limited in views. This paper proposes an effectiveness framework which includes significant quality dimensions and variables to measure each. This paper also includes empirical validation using data collected from three sectors: nuclear power production, Electrical equipment manufacturing and software industry for suitability analysis through statistical method. We considered primary variable from each identified dimension to analyze the suitability of KMS with 25 knowledge workers in each sector through five parameters: Completeness of product, Customization of process, Ontology standard, Applicability of KMS content, and Decision making ability.

This Project discuss assembling about application portal knowledge management in higher university, like we know about in higher university is location to interaction for people studied. Various to follow open knowledge. The higher university have had competition level and high demand form stakeholder, that is increase quality although transparency in management organization. With competition is very expert, the higher university must have skill to absorbknowledge that had civitas academic, in order that knowledge who there is in area university can kept with explicit, shaped to make dissemination knowledge. To reach necessity about that project so did program architecture knowledge management for system to used in tools as support management knowledge management in higher university. Knowledge management had facilities to made collaboration, repository and dissemination knowledge who have in every civitas academic, in example is case Politeknik Pos Indonesia. The planning started with observe necessity system, specification and software and grow up prototype where able bridge between running system to resource data with knowledge management portal is development.
