Purpose This paper aims to summarize antecedents and consequences of risk-taking in tournaments and show the development of tournament optimization considering risk-taking. Moreover, further expansion expectations related to antecedents and consequences of risk-taking in tournaments and tournament optimization considering risk-taking are discussed. Design/methodology/approach A comprehensive bibliographic retrieval and further literature review and systematics re-organization are used to build the framework with respect to risk-taking in tournaments. Then, qualitative analysis is used to present conclusions of existing research. Findings By summarizing various antecedents, different consequences and tournament optimizations with regard to risk-taking in tournaments of existing research, the authors present a series of research opportunities regarding risk-taking in tournaments that can propel the advancement of tournament theory. Originality/value The studies on risk-taking in tournament have been recently received wide attention and are growing vigorously. Based on the summary and re-organization, the framework of literature studying risk-taking in tournaments is built. This literature review also helps researchers learn the advance of risk-taking in tournament and provides fruitful direction for future research on this topic.

Construction project success depends on success of design. It is very rare previous research about the success of design as a determinant to the success of construction projects. The Whole System Design (WSD) approach in a planning of a high-rise residential property consider the success interrelatedness of both problems and solutions. It can help to create more sustainable designs. Nevertheless, designers often face several factors that exclusively reduce the rate of successful design i.e. design model and methods. One way to manage this issue is to reduce ambiguousness by using a whole system design approach. This study purposes to explore framework of Whole System Design approach for successful design. Application of literature review method is used to understanding the problem by analysing 20 articles about high-rise building, residential and whole system design. The result presents a mapping of several methods that used in previous research. It is to help more widespread the successful design in a high-rise residential property.

Based on the findings of a literature review of over 425 articles and reports on women in small business commissioned by the Department of Industry, Science and Tourism in Australia, factors that have a gender-specific impact on women in small business are identified. These factors include age, education and experience; motivations, values and risk-taking; business and financial planning; financing; training and business assistance needs; networks and mentoring; and legal issues. Suggestions are made on how the help and advice of accountants and other assistance providers may be influenced by these gender differences.

Data collection system in Fish Landing Base of Dumai was traditionally. Data written manually using books and collected by agents. This fact illustrates the weakness of the catch data collection system that occours. The effect is low data accuracy and requires a longer time in reporting. Data collection system based on technology will facilitate the process and important to do. The purpose of this study was to design a data collection system for fish catches landed at Fish Landing Base of Dumai. The research was conducted in February-June 2020 in Dumai city. The method used observation, interviews and literature review. Data analysis is used the process of analyzing data, literature review, analysis of existing systems, analysis of new systems and system design using data flow diagrams (DFD), entity relationship diagrams (ERD) and HIPO. System design starts from input, output and database design. The data design inputted is fishermen data, fishing gear, fish production and price of day, fish distribution, customer data and data employees. The output data are reports of user data, fishing gear specifications, fish production and fish distribution. The database is structured and presented using a flow chart. A technology-based of catch data collection system designed to improve the efficiency of the presentation of the reports needed for agencies.Keywords:Fish LandingDFDReportAgencies


Each partner has an enormous obligation in the management of risks in any PPP arrangement. The partner must ensure that concerted efforts are exerted that risks are specifically specified in their natures and where they fall. The partners thus have to comprehensively get to the knowledge of the nature and kind of the risk and where they hit most. Literature review is used to identify all forms of risks in a PPP arrangement, and their effects, and their probable solutions. These are then explored through deeper systematic reviews of case studies of implemented PPP projects and those on-going ones implemented and being implemented in various countries. Risk issues in PPP relate to typology, perspectives of parties and criteria. The findings show that effective identification and comprehension of risk in PPP will increase the likelihood that intended purpose is achieved in PPP especially when the boundaries for risk taking is well established.
