In this paper, we examine how the new house premium has changed over time. We propose that the new home premium can largely be attributed to the “lemons problem” from Akerlof (1970). Recent research suggests that the growth of the Internet has significantly reduced the lemons problem for many products. Our results suggest that the new house premium is about 5.6% without considering time-on-the-market (TOM) and has been declining. This premium ranges from 14.6% (1998) to −2.8% (2010). The average new house premium is 13.3% considering TOM, and ranges from 22.5% (1998) to 5.0% (2010). A trend analysis reveals that new house premiums have fallen 0.8%–0.9% annually, consistent with the Internet, information sharing, and reputation feedback mechanisms reducing the lemons problem associated with asymmetric information.

In addition to the development of social technology and the widespread use of the internet, the fact that people are getting used to sharing their goods and services has made the concept of sharing economy a popular issue. Sharing economy is “a potential new way for sustainability,” and it is noted that it would disrupt the unsustainable hyper-consumption practices directing capitalist economies. In this regard, the importance of sharing economy becomes prominent. In this study, first of all, basic information was given about sharing economy and then the concepts about how it made progress were introduced. In the next step, the definitions of sharing economy were given, the importance of sharing was mentioned, and then the products used in sharing economy were mentioned. In the following stage, the benefits of sharing economy to nature were addressed, and the weaknesses and dark sides of sharing economy were revealed. Finally, the impact of the sharing economy on the service sector was emphasized, and opinions were presented for future research on this subject.

Nowadays, information technology and the Internet are becoming a driver for a shared consumption economy (sharing economy). The paper aims to analyse the current level of use and prospects for the development of models of the sharing economy in Russia. We identify the effects of sharing consumption for the circular economy and study factors that stimulate the use of peer-to-peer models. One of the study’s tasks was to investigate the involvement of the young generation in the sharing economy, as the most promising part of the population. The study is based on the analysis of open Internet sources on the operation of sharing platforms in Russia and a survey among students at two Russian universities (RUDN University in Moscow and Kuban State University in Krasnodar) to identify the awareness of young people regarding sharing platforms. Analysis of the current state of sharing in Russia showed that the use of most types of sharing is at an initial stage. At the same time, the prospects for economic growth and population development are quite high. The article identifies several effects of digital platforms for sustainable development, the main of which are informed consumption and production. For the further growth of users of the sharing economy, the authors highlight the level of penetration of the Internet and the need for high-quality services on digital platforms. Educational organisations can also become a platform for the development of models of the sharing economy by involving students in sharing processes, as demonstrated by the survey.

This work aims to show how commensality, a dimension of hospitality, operates in the context of new Internet businesses. It uses theories of hospitality to analyse meal-sharing websites that seek to capitalize on the booming interest in gastronomy and the growing trend of the sharing economy. This article is one piece of a broader research project that aims to identify and characterize the protagonists of a new type of gastronomy and commensality business conducted in domestic environments, and promoted on meal-sharing websites in which professional or amateur chefs (hosts) and diners (guests) are connected with one another. To perform the study we conducted documentary research through Internet searches on shared gastronomic experiences; netnographic research on meal-sharing websites; and interviews with hosts registered on these platforms and with the owner of the Brazilian website Dinneer. Using a theoretical framework focusing on hospitality and commensality, which deals with the relations between hosts and guests, their motivations and wishes, and the tacit and explicit rules by which they are bound, we analysed the contents of the websites and the interview transcripts. The results of our research reveal a paradox about the services offered on the websites and the reality of the business for hosts and diners.

He article discusses the current state and trends in the development of the sharing economy as a business model. Initially, the sharing economy assumed an exchange between people, but businessmen quickly learned to use the growing popularity of the trend. Companies began to provide platforms for sharing goods. The growing number of mobile and online platforms that effectively connect people who have underutilized assets with people who want to use them, allows you to advertise and sell products widely. In the sharing economy, the role of the consumer is changing to a two-way one, with consumers acting as buyers and suppliers of resources.By “sharing economy” the author understands such a social model, where there is a conscious rejection of private property in favor of collective, and this refusal is associated not with a lack of money, but with a desire to expand their capabilities. The economy of shared consumption today affects most areas of everyday life, changing the methods of transportation (Uber app, BlaBlaCar, Delimobil), living conditions in travel (on Airbnb), ways of entertainment (Netflix and YouTube, etc.), performing tasks (TaskRabbit itself), financing (Kickstarter), etc.Continuing the research, the author found that a number of prerequisites influenced the emergence and development of this business model, for example, the development of the Internet, a change in thinking in favor of a more open and trusting (for example, a trip with strangers to the BlaBlaCar site), a lack of desire to save for a long time to purchase property, urbanization, etc.

The paper deals with the analysis of the approaches in defining the main research directions in the field of leasing of innovations and innovations in leasing. Developing the Internet and expansion of mobile Internet, the advent of the Internet of Devices, Fintech, Insurtech, and the development of sharing economy provokes many debates about the future of innovation within the asset finance and innovation in the leasing of assets. This paper aimed to determine the scientific publication tendencies in the field investigating the issues on leasing of innovations and innovations in leasing to identifying prospective research areas. The methodological instruments of this paper are bibliographic tool VOSviewer, Scopus, and Web of Science (WoS) databases. The study sample is 2513 scientific documents, published in the scientific journals indexed by Scopus (1915 documents) and WoS (598 documents) databases. The study has no limited time sample. The obtained results by Scopus and WoS tools showed the growing publication tendencies on the investigated issues. Besides, the number of papers in the Scopus database had a growing tendency with a variable rate. There is a significant increase in the number of papers that occurred from 2000 to 2010. In turn, the number of papers in journals indexed by WoS had been regularly rising during the analyzed period with a growth rate of 19,9%. Thus, this database shows a considerable growth of publications from 2010 to 2019. In 2019 the number of articles in the field of leasing of innovations and innovations in leasing increased by 412% compared to 2010. Therefore, the investigated issues remain popular in investigations of the great string of scientists. In the Scopus database, mostly the issues on leasing of innovations and innovations in leasing were investigated under the subject area as follows: Medicine, Engineering, Social Sciences, Environmental Science, Business, Management and Accounting, Computer Science. The author noted that the most significant part of the scientists who analyzed the leasing of the innovations and innovations in leasing was from the USA, China, United Kingdom, and Germany. Herewith, in 2019, the number of papers devoted to investigated issues enhanced in scientific journals with high impact factors such as Land Use Policy, European Journal of Operational Research, Ecology and Society. Therefore, it indicates that investigated issues are actually in the trends of sharing economy. The obtained results by VOSviewer analysis allowed identifying six clusters of the scientific publications scrutinized the leasing of the innovations and innovations in leasing from different perspectives. It worth mentioning that three out of six clusters have a close connection. The first biggest cluster links the keywords as follows: sustainable development, environmental impact, environmental protection, energy policy, land use, land management, fishery management, laws and legislation, risk assessment, etc. In turn, the second cluster indicated on the investigations in the sphere of information system and software in leasing. Three clusters (the third, fourth and fifth) are connected by the words «leasing – legal aspect – health care/medical practice management – hospital equipment/hospital information system», etc. The keywords such as financial management, taxes, capital financing, leasing – property, capital expenditure, accounting, legal aspect, management, and tax connected them with the sixth cluster. Keywords: innovation, leasing, leasing management, innovation in leasing.

Anyone who has ever tried to describe a picture in words is aware that it is not an easy task to find a word, a concept, or a category that characterizes it completely. Most images in real life represent more than a concept; therefore, it is natural that images available to users over the Internet (e.g., FLICKR) are associated with multiple tags. By the term ‘tag’, the authors refer to a concept represented in the image. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the performances of relevance feedback techniques in content-based image retrieval scenarios with multi-tag datasets, as typically performances are assessed on single-tag dataset. Thus, the authors show how relevance feedback mechanisms are able to adapt the search to user’s needs either in the case an image is used as an example for retrieving images each bearing different concepts, or the sample image is used to retrieve images containing the same set of concepts. In this paper, the authors also propose two novel performance measures aimed at comparing the accuracy of retrieval results when an image is used as a prototype for a number of different concepts.

In December 2019, Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) was identified and within a month its outbreak was seen across the world, with more than 180 countries being affected. This outbreak resulted in lockdowns and some major precautionary steps to contain the pandemic in various countries. To analyse its effect on the sharing economy model, we will study the two major companies in ride-sharing business and hospitality business – Airbnb and Uber. The approach is to have a comparative study on how the shared economy services helped in the internet community, and its prospects post-pandemic. The study will use the discussions and analyses of interviews collected from various shared economy industrial experts and customers. The paper will also assess the importance of the institutional and government regulation framework to improve the sharing economy business model. The research paper also provides a detailed comparison of companies’ customer responses post-pandemic on the basis of a few parameters, and the frequency of usage of these services.
