Diante do aumento da repercussão de crises potencializada pelas mídias digitais, percebe-se cada vez mais a importância do papel das relações públicas e a necessidade de um plano de comunicação de crise no âmbito das organizações. Diante disso, este estudo visa identificar as estratégias empreendidas em páginas no Facebook pelas seguintes organizações: Instituto Evangélico de Novo Hamburgo (IENH), Snickers Brasil e United Airlines, diante de crises em que se envolveram e repercutiram a partir da ambiência digital. O aporte teórico do estudo tem como base as noções de crise e comunicação de crise (FORNI, 2008, 2015; FINK, 2002), relações públicas (GRUNIG, 2009) e estratégias (PÉREZ, 2012). Para articular a teoria com o corpus de pesquisa, o procedimento metodológico utilizado consiste numa triangulação de métodos e técnicas, combinando pesquisa bibliográfica (LAKATOS, 1992), observação encoberta não participativa (JOHNSON, 2010), além da descrição, análise e comparação das estratégias de comunicação no contexto de crise (MACHADO, 2016; TERRA, 2010).
