This article discusses the relationship between a consumer lifestyle and the environment. The willingness to adapt to a sustainable lifestyle was tested through a questionnaire among students of Mendel University in Brno, who are theoretically well-informed people. Overall, 417 students answered, i.e., 19% of the respondents. The students generally recognised the need to address environmental issues, and 90.6% intended to change their lifestyle in this direction. Among the barriers, they mentioned in particular lack of time, lack of financial resources, lack of specific information and insufficient conditions. Addressing this issue requires close co-operation in education between governmental and non-governmental organisations in both the public and private sectors. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the situation in that it has drawn attention to the response of local companies to the global problem.

Environmental Issues in Education: The Case of Pesticides in Lebanon In the untamed world of globalization, rapid industrialization, and the gluttony for material consumption centering on the rapid depletion of certain natural resources, all coupled with high emission of polluting carbons and chemicals, the ecosystem lost its balance pushing this tiny planet, earth, towards natural catastrophes. This research highlights the main environmental issues and problems citing Lebanon as an example of many developing countries, caused by reckless behavior and policies, as they fail to design and adopt solutions to a series of complicated problems. The main question revolves around what causes humans to persist in mismanaging the natural resources that sustain their existence? The immediate answer may be summarized in these words: ignorance, individualism and greed. The authors aim at highlighting the setting and formulation of an international strategy, focusing particularly upon the problem of global warming. The case of misuse of pesticides in the Lebanese agricultural sector and their fatal impact upon the environment will be highlighted. The stress will be on the role of education in forming and shaping ecological awareness, at schools, universities, media, NGOs, and particularly governmental institutions. The paper concludes by calling for launching the setup of an international strategy to establish lobbying chapters in every country. The aim would be to follow up on public and private policies while applying effective academic and practical steps in schools and universities to develop an effective awareness of environmental problems. It invites governments, municipalities, socio-religious groups and NGOs to assume their active roles and awaken the common citizen’ s consciousness and responsibilities through ecological promotion and replenishment activities to sustain a balanced ecosystem for future generations to enjoy.

Keywords: natural resources, pesticides, agricultural sector, education, ecosystem, environment.

This is a qualitative analysis survey, which the instruments used were interviews, pedagogical proposal analysis and educational environment observation. The study, conducted in Curitiba, Paraná, showed from the pedagogical proposal analysis of the two institutions that there is guidance for the interdisciplinary work with the environmental education in early childhood education. It was found, through the speeches, that all surveyed teachers agree with the importance of the environmental education in early childhood education and claim to work with this subject in their classes. The environmental observations demonstrated activities related mainly to recyclable material re-use to manufacture toys, nature observation and garden. Despite advances on the environmental education debate in early childhood education driven by the Environmental Education National Curriculum Guidelines (2012) and the Early Childhood Education National Curriculum Guidelines (2009), it is still proved to be predominantly in speeches and in the pedagogical practice a reductionist and naturalist concept. Keywords: Environmental Education. Educational institutions need to increase their efforts in the modern era of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) to educate their students for a sustainable future. Teachers and curriculum is the key ingredient to educate children and teenagers to be leaders of tomorrow in protecting the environment. This quantitative study was conducted to examine elementary school students' knowledge and attitudes towards environmental issues in Rawalpindi. The environment is directly and indirectly affected by humanity. The environment is getting polluted day by day due to which it becomes difficult to live in such a massive environment. To achieve this, there is a need to develop knowledge and attitudes in each individual. For this purpose, the population of the study consisted of all the public and private schools of the Rawalpindi. A hundred students of the ten schools, five public and five private schools of Rawalpindi, were taken as a sample for data collection. To check the attitudes of students' the questionnaire-based Relevance of Science Education (ROSE) Project was used to measure a student's attitudes and to measure the knowledge of students' self-made knowledge assessment test was used to collect the data from 7thgrade students'. The study examined the knowledge and attitude of elementary school students in public and private schools. The study also checked and compared students' knowledge and attitudes in public and private schools of Rawalpindi. Data was analyzed on SPSS software; Cross tabulation and chi-square were used to check students' knowledge. The Independent t-test was used to measure the attitudes of students. The results indicated no significant difference between government and private school students' knowledge and attitudes. Private school students' had slightly more knowledge than public school students but this difference was not significant. The public and private school students had a positive attitude towards environmental issues. Students owned environmental problems and were highly motivated to solve these problems. They were agreed to take action for the betterment of the future. As a result, sustainable development from elementary school to university necessitates a paradigm shift in our educational systems. Indeed, a sustainable way of life is impossible to achieve without a proper education system that teaches our youth how to integrate sustainability principles into their daily lives and work. Significant progress has been made in integrating environmental values into current curricula, developing new approaches and producing educational content for effective EE implementation in both programmes, since it was a government initiative to integrate environmental concepts into established curricula, devise different approaches and prepare training materials for ef Teacher teaching is therefore important in both Pakistani education systems to improve vital thinking skills and to react positively to the world about potential Pakistanis.

Innovators of in vitro meat (IVM) are convinced that this approach is the solution for problems related to current meat production and consumption, especially regarding animal welfare and environmental issues. However, the production conditions have yet to be fully clarified and there is still a lack of ethical discourses and critical debates on IVM. In consequence, discussion about the ethical justifiability and desirability of IVM remains hypothetical and we have to question those promises. This paper addresses the complex ethical aspects associated with IVM and the questions of whether, and under what conditions, the production of IVM represents an ethically justifiable solution for existing problems, especially in view of animal welfare, the environment, and society. There are particular hopes regarding the benefits that IVM could bring to animal welfare and the environment, but there are also strong doubts about their ethical benefits.
