This paper presents a mathematical model for multi-axle steering vehicles operating on level ground. For transporting heavy loads vehicles with multiple axles are required. Apart from added complexity steering of multiple axle for turning is a big challenge. Due to type of load being carried a single unit vehicle is sometimes preferred. The mathematical model of a six axle vehicle with 4-axle steering system is developed. Simulations at various track radii, vehicle speeds and steering ratios (ratio between the first, second, fifth and sixth steering axle) are performed. Axle steering angles and wheel slip angles are evaluated. The steering ratio requirements vary with vehicle speed and turn radius. A configuration is selected for better performance for a wider range. The resulting steering ratios show good vehicle maneuverability, stability and steering efficiency.

The article provides an overview of tire model parameters used in the calculation of the wheeled vehicles dynamics when driving on roads or agricultural background. A list of parameters that are not essential for simulation the movement of machines at low speeds, mainly along a straight line path, is determined. A method for determining the necessary parameters is presented, an example of their calculation is given.

Modeling of wheeled vehicles is one of the main directions of development and practical appli-cation of software systems based on modeling the dynamics of body systems. In this paper, a tech-nique for analyzing a vehicle tire by the finite element method under various types of loading is considered in order to identify the parameters of its simplified dynamic models. Based on the finite element method, a refined tire model is created. It takes into account the complex geometric shape of various tire parts, their material properties, as well as the contact interaction of the tire with the support. The efficiency of this model was tested, both when performing static calculations of the stress-strain state of the tire from the action of an external load, and when solving the generalized eigenvalue problem. The great influence of external load on the natural frequencies and vibration modes of the tire is confirmed. One of the possible applications of the considered method of finite element modeling of a tire is the performance of refined calculations of the dynamics of wheeled vehicles in the “Universal Mechanism” software package. There are several variants of dynamic tire models that can be used to study the dynamics of off-road wheeled vehicles, including a model based on the method of discrete elements and a model based on the method of coupled substruc-tures. A model based on the method of discrete elements represents a number of absolutely solid bodies-particles, connected to each other and by a wheel disk by a set of elastic-dissipative ele-ments. Each particle of this model has three linear degrees of freedom relative to the wheel disk. The results of calculations of the refined finite element model of the tire are necessary to identify the mass and elastic-dissipative properties of this dynamic tire model. In the model based on the method of connected substructures, the elastic displacements of the tire are represented as the sum of the admissible shapes of the elastic body. Static and natural vibration modes are used as permis-sible forms of an elastic body, calculated using a refined finite element model of the tire.

An active differential is introduced with its basic structure and working principle, it consists of a couple of slip clutches for torque transfer and some planetary gears which generate the differential speeds of the slip clutches. A mathematical model of active differential dynamics is developed and it is used for a theoretical analysis of torque transfer and energy loss. Modeling and simulation of the active differential are carried out by using MATLAB/Simulink, the results demonstrate that active differential generates the direct yaw moment by torque transfer between right and left tires and is possible to improve the overall performance of vehicle dynamics properties.

Introduction: a widespread approach to the transportation of large-sized and heavy-weight indi-visible cargo on roads and terrain is the use of multi-axle wheeled transport complexes, which are road trains. At the same time, due to the significant overall dimensions, one of the most important properties of such machines is agility, that is, the ability to move along a trajectory of large curvature in a limited area, which is especially important in loading / unloading zones. Subject of research: the article presents an approach to predicting the indicators of curvilinear movement of multi-axle wheeled road trains, based on the application of the method of mathemati-cal modeling of the dynamics of body systems. Methodology and methods: the essence of the method is to create a mathematical model of the movement of a road train, represented by a system of rigid bodies, which are interconnected by kin-ematic and power connections. The simulation model developed within the framework of the study makes it possible to take into account with high accuracy the peculiarities of the interaction of the wheel propeller with the supporting surface, the redistribution of normal reactions between the sup-port modules, as well as the force factors arising in the coupling device and ensuring the interaction between the tractive vehicle and the trailer link. The mathematical description of the interaction of the propeller with the ground is based on the concept of “friction ellipse”. Using the presented mod-el, an assessment of the turnability of a wheeled road train equipped with a trailed link with swivel and non-swivel wheels was carried out. The required width along the tracks of the outer (running in) and inner (lagging) wheels was used as an assessment criterion. To assess the feasibility of using a trailed link with fully steered wheels and, accordingly, complicating the design of the machine, an additional assessment of the required power of the steering drive was carried out. Results and scientific novelty: a mathematical model of the dynamics of a road train was de-veloped. It makes possible to predict with high accuracy the indicators of curvilinear movement of wheeled vehicles, as well as to estimate the required power of the steering drive. Practical significance: a mathematical model of road train movement was developed, which al-lows a wide range of tests to be carried out to assess not only the indicators of curved-linear move-ment, but also the mobility of wheeled vehicles of any configuration as a whole.

Cultural aspects and Maslow needs has been considered on product development process. There is also has indication of product selection mutation based on Maslow needs ability. Based on these conditions, formulation of successful product development strategy in the future need to consider cultural aspects. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine mathematical model of products four-wheeled vehicles and to predict success. Stages of research include developing mathematical models, the validation process models and best model selection. The results of a mathematical model based on market share indicates that the component must-be inversely proportional to the success of the product, while the components of one-dimentional and attractive is directly proportional to the success of the product. The calculation result that Kano generate mathematical equations require further research. These research expected can determine the success of the model with the parameters of the success product in addition to market share.

A roller test bench with a rigid kinematic connection between running drums for testing of wheeled vehicles is studied. A mathematical model of the bench is developed. Its force, kinematic and power analyses were performed. Recommendations on the selection of gear ratios for different types of tests of wheeled vehicles are given.
