Abstract The globalisation phenomenon has been prevalent since the last decade of 20th century and remains a significant factor influencing both organisations and individuals today. Within a globalised business environment the effective management of multicultural aspects and differences has become imperative to ensure success. It is increasingly evident there is a need to develop a clear understanding of multicultural competencies in order to fully develop a strategic approach to human capital management (HCM). The adoption of a strategic approach is necessary to ensure a focus on the issues critical to success and competitive advantage including multicultural management, professional skills and knowledge management. This paper aims to identify the importance of intercultural management and the impact of globalisation upon international business.

The Impact

The aim of the article is an attempt to assess the impact of women’s occupational activity on the tendency to take up informal employment as an element of human capital management. The paper attempts to assess the relationship between the unemployment rate and the employment rate and the share of informal work in GDP. Methodology: The implementation of the objective required the use of statistical methods, in particular, linear regression methods. Results: The publication describes the nature of informal employment, the level of professional activity of women in the selected European Union countries in 2017. Based on statistical data, an attempt was made to assess the impact of professional activity among women on non-formal work based on the linear regression method.

The Human Capital (HC) is considered a strategic resource intangible for companies whose main features are the ability to be self-generated is to be subjected to the risk of a sudden evaporation in the presence of inadequate management practices. After analyzing the concept of human capital as a subset of the most important intellectual capital, research focuses on the determinants of human capital management on corporate performance. Specifically we will look at the literature that has produced empirical evidence on the impact that the practices of management of human capital, the behaviors of the staff, the remuneration and the formation of the staff have on performance.
