Although fresh intakes of communication design students have grown up with constant digital connectivity and social media, they grapple to comprehend the relationship between communication, legibility, and usability of an analogue, printed publication. New intakes of communication design undergraduates, lack aesthetic sensitivity and formal appreciation of printed type. They are at ease when exploring work digitally, or manipulating forms or text on the computer, but when it comes to design for print, and transcribing text onto non-scalable media e.g., paper, they struggle with basic notions of typography, like weight, size, legibility, and hierarchy of information. Consequently, two analogue, tactile studio activities were developed to complement teaching and learning, and assist students to increase their formal and aesthetic perception of type, typography, and communication design. This qualitative research takes a closer look at the two workshops, and considers its impact on the work produced by students.

The present study investigated the knowledge-sharing behavior of library and information management researchers, using the lens of the theory of planned behavior. The study is quantitative and adopted a survey questionnaire as a data collection technique. The snowball sampling technique was considered suitable to recruit respondents to the study. Data were analyzed with the help of SPSS (20.0) and the ADANCO (2.0.1). The research findings confirm that subjective norms and perceived behavioral control have a significant impact on intentions to share knowledge, whereas knowledge sharing intentions have a statistically significant positive impact on knowledge sharing behavior through SNS among postgraduate students. Attitude towards knowledge sharing directly triggers knowledge sharing practices through social media networking sites. Intentions to share knowledge do not mediate the relationship of attitude and knowledge sharing behavior. The theory of planned behavior has widely been used to measure knowledge-sharing behavior in different sectors. However, the relationship between attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavior control, intentions to share knowledge within the domain of social media is explored first time in this study, particularly in the context of the library and information science post-graduate students.

The number of opinions on social media like Twitter is so widespread that it's impossible to read all those opinions to get all the sentiments. Sentiment analysis is one of the methods that could overcome this problem. The lexicon-based approach is one of the sentiment analysis approaches which perform well across data topics without training. However, the lexicon-based approach relies heavily on the completeness and diversity of sentiment lexicons. The relationship between words is important because it could change the sentiment polarity in the text. The tree structure could represent the relationship between words well. This study uses a tree structure as an interpretation of the relationship between words in a sentence. The tree structure is constructed by adding words to the lexicon sentiment. The tree-based method is tested on cross-topic data such as the tweet data of the 2018 West Java Governor Election, the 2019 Presidential Election, and the COVID-19 pandemic. All data used has an unbalanced class proportion, with the positive class being dominant. The accuracy results of the tree-based method on all data consecutively are 64.97% (increased by 1.26%), 64.33% (increased by 11.41%), and 66.24% (increased by 7.61%). The tree-based method produce stable accuracy on several topics proved by the small accuracies standard deviation (0.97%) that even smaller than the non-tree method (5.4%). The weighted f1-measure increases of the tree-based method on all data consecutively are 0% (equal), 10.45%, and 8.1%. The small difference between the weighted f1-measure and accuracy concludes that the accuracy resulted is valid.</em></p><p class="Body"><em><strong><br /></strong></em></p>

The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of social media in Chinese sports journalism. After distributing an online survey using a snowball sampling technique, a total of 133 Chinese sports journalists working in print media participated in this study. The results indicated that news gathering was reported as a primary motivation to use social media. Weibo and WeChat, two localized social networking tools, were the most commonly used tools among participants. Nearly half of participating sports journalists admitted that monitoring information on social media increased their pressure level and created workloads. The majority of sports journalists believed social media had weakened their gatekeeping role due to the increase in citizen journalists and the increase in channels and sources from which users obtain news and information. The study also found that the relationship between journalists and athletes has also been altered with the advent of social media.
