S. Wright’s analysis of plant productivity is of great current interest. The research objective was to determine the pair correlation coefficients and S. Wright’s path coefficients for rice varieties and, on their basis, to identify the contribution of each of them to the plant productivity. Ten rice varieties were taken as the test material. The experiments were conducted in the irrigated experimental field of theInstituteofRiceof the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences ofUkrainein 2013, 2014 and 2016. Seeds were sown with an SKS-6A manual seeder; the seeding rate was 7.0 mln germinable seeds per hectare. The predecessor was alfalfa. The plot area was5 m2; the sowing distance was15 cm. The plants were analyzed for the following traits: plant productivity (grain weight), panicle weight, grain weight from side stems, productive tillering capacity, grain number per panicle, spikelet number per panicle, 1000-grain weight, grain weight per panicle, plant height, panicle length and density, empty spikelet number per panicle, and incidence of blind seed disease. Pair correlation coefficients were determined by B.A. Dospekhov’s method; path analysis, by S. Wright’s method. The correlations of productivity with 12 quantitative traits of rice were determined: the correlation was close with the grain weight from side stems and medium with the panicle weight and with the grain weight per panicle. Path analysis of the plant productivity established that the correlations of plant traits with the productivity depended both on direct and indirect effects of each trait on the productivity. The relative contribution of each of the studied 12 traits to the rice productivity was determined; both direct and indirect effects of their interactions with other traits were evaluated. This made it possible to discover causes and consequences of interrelations between the traits and, as a result, to choose valuable-for-selection traits, such as panicle weight and productive tillering capacity, which had the greatest direct effects on the productivity and significant correlations with it.

The sample in this study were automotive companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2014-2018. The study used purposive sampling technique, in which there were 12 automotive companies that met predetermined criteria. Furthermore, this study applies path analysis using the Eviews program version 8.0 and Microsoft Excel 2016. To determine the direct and indirect effects on linear regression coefficients and to ensure a direct and indirect relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable through mediation, path analysis is carried out. The results of this study indicate the variable Current Ratio and Company Size have a significant effect on Firm Value, while Return On Assets and Capital Structure Ratio have no effect on Firm Value. Firm size has a significant effect on capital structure, while Current Ratio and Return on Assets have no effect on capital structure. Based on the results of the single test analysis, capital structure cannot mediate between Current Ratio, Return On Assets, and Company Size to Firm Value.

The study analyzes the effect of age, education, gender, experience, and the number of family members on the interest to be an entrepreneur and entrepreneurial decision. In addition, the study tests whether the interest to be an entrepreneur mediates the effect of age, education, gender, experience, and family number on the decision to be an entrepreneur. The population of the study are the street vendors in the Jember downtown. The samples consist of 192 respondents. This research uses the path analysis to determine the direct and indirect effects. The results show that age, education, gender, experience, and the number of family member have positive and significant effects on interest and the decision to become an entrepreneur. Interest mediates the effect of age, education, gender, experience, and the number of family member on the decision to become an entrepreneur.

Oliver (1977) recently analyzed the direct effects of consumers' expectations and disconfirmation on posttrial evaluations of products using a hierarchical analysis of variance design. The research reported by Oliver is reevaluated and extended in this paper. A causal model is presented and path analysis used to assess both direct and indirect effects of consumers' expectations and a disconfirming experience on ratings of posttrial affect and intentions to purchase. Results suggest that (1) both expectations and disconfirmation influence postexposure ratings of affect with the experience of disconfirmation exerting the greater effect; (2) disconfirmation only indirectly influences intentions to purchase through its impact on affective evaluations; and, (3) expectations influence intentions to purchase in two different ways—both directly and indirectly through posttrial judgments of affect.

The objective of this study was to estimate the direct and indirect effects of agronomic and culinary traits on iron and zinc contents in 11 cowpea populations. Correlations between traits were estimated and decomposed into direct and indirect effects using path analysis. For the study populations, breeding for larger grain size, higher number of grains per pod, grain yield, reduced cooking time, and number of days to flowering can lead to decreases in the levels of iron and zinc in the grain. Genetic gains for the iron content can be obtained by direct selection for protein content by indirect effects on the number of grains per pod, 100-grain weight and grain yield. The positive direct effect of grain size and protein content on the zinc content indicates the possibility of simultaneous gain by combined selection of these traits.

Can anyone living based on religious orientation in the tempted environment be happy? The world’s renounced “Sufficiency Economy “ lifestyle bestowed by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great of Thailand is the important promotive practice. This study investigated direct and indirect effects of traits, situation, religious belief and practice, and behavior based on “sufficiency economy philosophy” on happiness especially hedonic and eudaimonic types. Samples were 323 Booniyom community members, from Santi Asoke, a cult in Buddhist religion. Results from path analysis indicated the model fit that supported the interactionism model with suggestion to add path relationship between group of antecedents. It was found that happiness was directly accounted for 83 percents by the sufficiency economy relating behaviors, as well as, religious belief and practice. Discussion, further analysis, and suggestions were offered.

The path analysis shows that motivation has significantly direct and indirect effects to communication. Motivation does not have significant effects to performance but have indirect effects through job satisfaction. This is because motivation has significant direct effects to job satisfaction. Communication has direct and indirect effects to performance. The indirect effect is through job satisfaction. Job satisfaction has significant direct effects to performance.

The T-test results show that the effects of independent variables (motivation and communication) have significant positive effects to job satisfaction with p-value of 0.00. This value is less than alpha value (5%). Coefficient determination (R2) is of 0.741. This means that motivation and communication can explain the diversity of job satisfaction as high as 74.1% and the rest, which is of 25.9%, explains by other factors that are not used in this research.
