The authors of this article adduce facts according to which the development of an online platform and an electronic book for the study of Ukrainian literature by secondary school students is relevant. We described the structure and basic functionality of the process. The features and advantages of e-learning resources have been identified. The quantitative status of the development of e-books in Ukraine has been analyzed. The lack of ebook regarding Ukrainian literature for secondary school is indicated. It is reported that the developed online platform operates in three modes. The e-book of Ukrainian literature contains fiction texts, analysis of fiction texts, presentations, video and audio files for fiction texts, control unit. The results of the students' surveys regarding the use of the online platform in the educational process have been presented.

The Kingdom of Tonga is an isolated least developing country located on the northeast of New Zealand with a population of 103,252 (2011 census) and with a gross domestic product per capita of USD $2,545.20. Before educational systems in a least developing country like the Kingdom of Tonga begin employing e-learning, an assessment of the current situation of students and learning institutions may contribute to its success. Using an appropriate assessment tool is important for accurately measuring the degree of e-readiness. In this study, we administered a survey to 186 students randomly selected from five secondary schools in the Kingdom of Tonga to measure Facebook usage as an index of e-readiness for e-learning. We found that a large percentage (81%) of secondary students use Facebook, and most (74%) of these students have used Facebook for two or more years. All (100%) students use a computer to access Facebook, and most also access Facebook through mobile phones (62%) or tablets (46%). We also found correlations between duration of having a Facebook account and other indicators of e-readiness. Our findings suggest that secondary students in the Kingdom of Tonga have developed e-readiness for e-learning through their use of Facebook.

Annotation. The modern education system is characterized by the introduction of the latest technologies and educational projects, accompanied by an increase in information and emotional load, which is accompanied by a decrease in the efficiency and quality of work, determined by the level and dynamics of mental performance. The purpose of the study – to determine the impact of the organization of the educational process in primary school on the mental capacity of students in the study of subjects of varying difficulty. The study involved 112 secondary school students, divided into 3 groups depending on the curriculum. With the help of proofreading tests, the level and dynamics of mental performance was determined in a cycle of studying 3 subjects: mathematics, Ukrainian language, history. In parallel, self-assessment of psycho-emotional state was performed according to the method of SAN and pulse measurement. Statistical data processing was performed using one-way analysis of variance and t-test in the software package IBM SPSS Statistics v.20. It was found that the educational program affected the level of mental performance (F=106.7), heart rate (F=25,2) and well-being (F=4,5; p<0,05). Quantitative (382.31±5.46 characters) and qualitative (7.60±0.28 errors) indicators were better in girls (p<0.01). The maximum decrease in the volume and quality of work was determined after the history lesson (respectively by 27.65±7.24 characters and 3.35±0.49 errors; p<0.001). In the dynamics of the study of subjects there was a decrease in mental capacity against the background of a decrease in health to 1.9 points (p<0.05) and an increase in heart rate to 92.13±2.82 beats/min (p<0.001). The study of mathematics according to the experimental educational project was accompanied by the highest percentage of students with the preservation or increase of the level of mental capacity, and according to the traditional program – its decrease in the vast majority of students. When studying the Ukrainian language and history, no significant difference between the types of changes in mental performance under the conditions of implementation of different curricula has been established. Thus, the optimal organization of the educational process, especially in the study of heavy subjects, helps to preserve and restore mental performance and, consequently, reduce signs of fatigue, which guarantees not only a sufficient level of academic success, but also less depletion of functional reserves of the child's body and reducing the risk of school maladjustment.

The educational system of Ukraine, like those of most countries in the world, was not ready for the long-term changes caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The survey of participants of the educational process revealed that 25% of secondary school students did not start the educational process at all for various reasons, which indicates the need to rethink and restructure the educational process based on new organizational and methodological approaches. The article presents the results of a study of the data of the survey “Challenges of distance learning” conducted by the Institute of Gifted Child of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine from 25.05.2020 to 10.08.2020 on determining the opinion of participants of the educational process in conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of the study was to determine the features of distance learning and identify the disadvantages and advantages of distance education for individual participants (parents, students, educators). The research used statistical methods: summarizing and grouping data and visualization methods for their presentation, the method of testing hypotheses using the chi-square criterion, as well as analysis of variance. Respondents evaluated the effectiveness of forms and means of distance learning for different age groups of secondary school students, in particular, the importance for the educational institution of a unified learning platform, resources, partnership, individual choice of forms and methods of distance learning by the teacher, reasonable workload, weekly planning. Educators evaluate the existing measures to improve the effectiveness of distance learning higher than students and parents. In general, parents' assessment of the effectiveness of remote forms and means is the lowest. The study identified gender characteristics of views on the quality of distance learning. In addition, the survey participants, based on their experience, outlined a vision for the future of the educational system.

Abstract. Recently, the importance of emotions in school education has increased. The current literature has highlighted the benefits of generating positive classroom climates, in which there are affective relationships between agents involved in the educational process. This study aimed to know the relationship between the classroom climate generated and the emotions experienced by the students. The hypothesis was that the classroom climate generated could predict the emotions experienced by the students. For this, a sample of 417 secondary school students was used (44.1% men and 55.9% women), belonging to three schools located in Huelva (Andalucía, Spain). The students were asked about the existing classroom climate and emotions experienced during their physical education classes. The results of the study confirm the relationship between the classroom climate and emotions. Highlighting the predictive power of the “satisfaction in the classroom” and “relationship with the teacher” dimensions to predict the emotions experienced by students. These results allow us to know the importance of generating positive climates through the creation of emotional bonds between teachers and their students. In this way, students will feel comfortable and will generate positive emotions, which are key factors in the educational process.
