The purpose of this paper is to re-examine the relationship between the degree of aggregate labour-intensity and the aggregate volume of saving in an economy where a Cobb-6ouglas production function in its traditional form can be assumed to give a good approximation to reality. The relationship in ques¬tion has an obviously important bearing on economic development policy in the area of choice of labour intensity. To the extent that and in the range where an increase in labour intensity would adversely affect the volume of savings, a con¬flict arises between two important social objectives, i.e., higher rate of capital formation on the one hand and greater employment and distributive equity on the other. If relative resource endowments in the economy are such that such a "competitive" range of labour-intensity falls within the nation's attainable range of choice, development planners will have to arrive at a compromise between these two social goals.

The article is devoted to the problem of comparing the effectiveness of feedforward (FF) and convolutional neural networks (CNN) algorithms in the problems of handwritten digit recognition and classification. In recent years, the attention of many researchers to the FF and CNN algorithms has given rise to many hybrid models focused on solving specific problems. At the same time, the efficiency of each algorithm in terms of accuracy and labour intensity remains unclear. It is shown that in classical problems, FFs can have advantages over CNN in terms of labour intensity with the same accuracy of results. Using the handwritten digits data from the MNIST database as an example, it is shown that FF algorithms provide greater accuracy and require less computation time than CNN.

Choosing effective methods and devices for surface hardening of wood-cutting tools is problematic due to the variety of their designs and operating conditions. In this regard, the development of such devices becomes an urgent task. According to the literature, one of the effective methods for increasing the service life of machine parts and tools is electrospark hardening or electrospark alloying. Industrial electrospark installations such as “EFI” (electrophysical measurements) and “Elitron” with manual vibrators are used for electrospark hardening. However, using manual vibrators significantly increases the labour intensity and hardening time. Moreover, the surface quality after hardening with manual vibrators is often unsatisfactory. Various mechanized installations have been developed in order to reduce the labour intensity of electrospark hardening. Nevertheless, these installations are designed to harden specific parts and do not allow hardening tools of various designs, including woodcutting tools. The surface quality after hardening in mechanized installations does not always satisfy the customer. Further surface plastic deformation treatments, such as rolling and unrolling with rollers and balls, as well as diamond burnishing, are often used to improve the surface quality after electrospark hardening. The surface quality after additional processing by these methods boosts, although the labour intensity and cost of the hardening process increase. To increase the wear resistance of machine parts and tools, it is reasonable to reduce the height parameters of roughness, increase microhardness, and form the residual compressive stresses, which is ensured by the methods of surface plastic deformation. In this regard, it becomes necessary to use electrospark hardening simultaneously with surface plastic deformation. The work presents the design and features of using the device for hardening. The device was used to strengthen the thicknesser machine knives, which made it possible to almost double their durability. Applying this device, in comparison with using the electrospark hardening with a manual vibrator, reduces the roughness of the hardened surface and improves the surface quality of the processed workpieces. The modes of hardening have been installed, making it possible to effectively harden wood-cutting tools. For citation: Buglaev A.M. Device for Wood-Cutting Tool Hardening. This paper studies deployable elements which are used in satellites and different terrestrial antenna devices. Many deployable elements are made from steel or thermoset polymer composite materials and have the following disadvantages like length limitation of deployable elements, labour intensity of manufacturing process of deployable elements etc. For this purpose a deployable tube boom element was chosen and a forming method for manufacturing deployable tube element from thermoplastic polymer composite material was developed.

Abstract Deindustrialisation is typically conceptualised as a decline in manufacturing as a share of total employment. From a Kaldorian perspective deindustrialisation could have negative implications for long-run growth, given the special growth-pulling properties of manufacturing. However, defining deindustrialisation purely in terms of employment share is conceptually limiting given that some of the Kaldorian processes operate primarily through output rather than employment, as well as blunting empirical analysis by not focussing enough on changes in manufacturing share of gross domestic product (GDP). This study develops a new method using decomposition techniques to analyse changes in manufacturing employment levels and shares in 48 countries over periods of ‘deindustrialisation’. The analysis separates out changes in the levels and shares of employment manufacturing into components associated with changes in the share of manufacturing in GDP, the growth of manufacturing value-added, the labour intensity of manufacturing production and economic growth. The results indicate that in most cases the decline in manufacturing employment is associated primarily with falling labour intensity of manufacturing rather than an overall decline in the size or share of the manufacturing sector. We suggest that deindustrialisation should appropriately be defined in terms of a sustained decline in both the share of manufacturing in total employment and the share of manufacturing in GDP.

Having a good electric quantity settlement of large consumer is the basic work of electric power enterprises to receive fee in time and ensure the electricity supply. For the conditions that great labour intensity, calculation inaccurate, not timely settlement of traditional manual electric quantity settlement, this paper designs automatic electric settlement system. First, design database and logical structure based on the concept structural design with E-R diagram. Then, research the twelve mathematical formulas used by large consumer electric quantity settlement. Finally, describe the process of electric quantity settlement in natural language. The content of this study, aims to play the superiority of computer system, improve the informationize level of electric enterprises. And provide a practical technology and guidelines for the majority of electric enterprises and developers to develop large consumer settlement system.
