Introduction: Continuing Medical Education (CME) significantly improves the competency of healthcare workers in Methadone Maintenance Treatment (MMT) clinics. However, CME courses are very costly, and a few participants fully attended a course. Online training is an alternative approach to efficiently improve training outcomes. The study assessed needs and possibility of online training courses of MMT clinics in southern Vietnam. Methods: A google form was designed to collect characteristics, man-powers, facilities, online activities and training needs of MMT clinics. E-mails were sent to all MMT clinics in southern Vietnam to ask for their participants. A representative of MMT clinics who satisfied the inclusion invited to complete the form. Result: 93 MMT clinics completed the survey. The response rate was 62% (93/150). One MMT clinic had 3 doctors/assistant doctors, 3 pharmacists/drug dispensers, 2 consultants and 3 other professionals on average. The number of clients visiting the clinic in the last month was 150. About 94% (93/95) of MMT clinics provide other additional services. On average, 385 clients came to MMT for other services. All clinics had adequate devices for online and blended training. Conclusion: MMT clinics had high training needs and were willing to attend online and blended training courses. Online and blended training were possible in MMT clinics.

The increasing use of technological tools to support the process of participation in assessment is explained, firstly, by the current tendencies in assessment and learning in Higher Education which encourage the active participation of students as a means to improve their learning; secondly, by the universal presence of technology that makes it impossible to conceive of any educational process that does not contemplate its use and that is leading to ever more courses that are either virtual or require minimal attendance; and, finally, an environment in which there are ever greater numbers of students per class. This chapter presents the results of using the web-based EvalCOMIX® programme in the context of a number of Higher Education training courses. Data has been collected through questionnaires and interviews applied to students, lecturers and academic coordinators. The results illustrate the ease of implementation of EvalCOMIX®, its usefulness in creating and sharing assessment instruments and the opportunity it provides to facilitate student participation in assessment.

The development of local wisdom-based character education training modules is included in R & D research. This development research uses Sugiyono's development model with the following steps: (1) potential and problems, (2) data collection, (3) product design, (4) design validation, (5) design revision, (6) product testing and (7) product revision. In this study, trials were limited to 10 teachers. Data collection with interviews, questionnaires and validation. Next, the data analysis uses the normality test, hypothesis test, likert scale. The results of the data analysis obtained normal data, in which the hypothesis test concluded that there was a difference between the pretest and posttest training, the questionnaire results showed a value of 3.2 was said to be feasible. Furthermore, the validation test obtained the number 77, 5% in the category worthy of being tested. This module consists of modules for trainers and modules for participants along with plans for implementing training. Principals are advised to carry out training with local wisdom-based character education training modules, for teachers it is recommended to participate in training.

Hands-on type training of Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME) is characterized by assisted application and combination of multiple simulation software tools and data. In this paper, we present recent experiences in establishing a cloud-based infrastructure to enable remote use of dedicated commercial and open access simulation tools during an interactive online training event. In the first part, we summarize the hardware and software requirements and illustrate how these have been met using cloud hardware services, a simulation platform environment, a suitable communication channel, common workspaces, and more. The second part of the article focuses (i) on the requirements for suitable online hands-on training material and (ii) on details of some of the approaches taken. Eventually, the practical experiences gained during three consecutive online training courses held in September 2020 with 35 nominal participants each, are discussed in detail.

The Moment

The purpose of this study is to describe a model for online evaluation within the training of teachers of Italian to foreigners. What follows is a case study where, thanks to a multimedial environment, what wants to be created are the conditions for a different sort of interaction between teachers and students in the moment of evaluation. Such a context requires organizational and didactic choices that have been considered carefully in order to be consistent with the development of the technologies used in the interaction, perfecting in such manner training processes capable of acknowledging objectively specific competences concerning didactics.
