A system analysis was completed of the general deterrence of driving while intoxicated (DWI). The analysis identified system elements relevant to the DWI decision and assessed the potential of countermeasures that might be employed in general deterrence programs. This paper defines the DWI general deterrence framework, describes the analytical methods employed, and presents the conclusions and recommendations derived from project results. The paper also presents a system model for interrelating factors which influence DWI deterrence and an associated computer-based simulation program for examining DWI deterrence alternatives.

Mathematical modeling of processes occurring in the biotechnological system, including those describing the interaction of functional microorganisms with contaminating microflora, is currently a promising scientific direction. The article discusses the issues of system analysis of the processes occurring in the biotechnological system during fermentation. By "microbiological system" is meant a microbiological process consisting of two subsystems or populations of microorganisms. During a given technological process, these populations interact with each other by using a common resource. Systems analysis and mathematical modeling of microbiological processes is a complex task. It is necessary to take into account a lot of factors, such as the simultaneous occurrence of several non-stationary processes; many state parameters, including analysis of the links between them; change in real time of technological parameters, in particular, the main resource, consideration of various properties of microbial populations affecting the behavior of microbiological systems (mortality, fertility, the existence of extraneous microflora, etc.), and other factors that have a direct impact on the quality of the finished product. In turn, a quantitative analysis of these interactions will lead to the development of scientifically based methods and approaches that minimize the effect of contamination. The analysis was carried out and a system model was constructed reflecting the entire spectrum of interactions between useful and extraneous populations of microorganisms in the production of bakery products. The presented system model allows to continue the study of the questions posed in the work, by further studying its components.

This research develops a multivariate system framework for assessing user satisfaction of public water utility organization in a developing country and predicts quality, quantity and overall user satisfaction for policy initiatives. The model framework is applied to the data collected by Public Affairs Centre (PAC) based on the Citizen Report Card approach pioneered by it. Wald test confirms that there exits cross equation correlation across quality, quantity and overall users’ satisfaction dimensions. Based on the system model, the study identifies statistically significant factors that explain users’ loyalty to express satisfaction and voice to express dissatisfaction of users. Policy initiatives are proposed on key factors to reduce voice factors set so that the service provider could improve its service delivery. The system model correctly predicts 85% of satisfied customers across quality, quantity and overall satisfaction dimensions.  Keywords: Multivariate, Logit, Discrete choice Model, Public Sector Utility service provider

The sound field characteristics in a trapezoidal enclosure surrounded by a flexible wall, which is adjacent to the tilted one, are investigated and compared with the case of a rectangular enclosure. The acoustic modes of trapezoidal enclosure are obtained by the coupling of the modes of rectangular enclosure that bounds it. The coupling system model is then built between trapezoidal enclosure modes and flexible wall modes using modal coupling theory. Based on the coupled system model, the effect of flexible wall modal density on the resonance frequencies and the decay times of coupled system are analyzed. Compared with the case of rectangular enclosure, the variation of the resonance frequency and the decay time of enclosure-controlled system mode is determined by its mode indices and tilted wall location when the panel modal density is changed. When the modal indices of trapezoidal sound field in the two directions unparallel to the tilted wall are equal to zero simultaneously, the effect of inclination angle on the resonance frequencies and decay times of these coupled system modes can be neglected. Otherwise, the coupling system modes behaviors are changed with the elevation angle. In addition, the coupling selection between the modes of trapezoidal enclosure and flexible wall is discussed in detail.

PurposeBy calculating the information entropy of the indicator and measuring the amount of information in the data, this paper determines the weight of the indicator according to the impact of the relative change of the indicator on the whole.Design/methodology/approachIn order to study the action mechanism of circular economy development and green finance, based on the entropy method, this paper constructs a system analysis model based on event research.FindingsMoreover, this paper uses the analytic hierarchy process to obtain subjective weights based on expert opinions and then uses the entropy method to obtain objective weights and finally combines the two. In addition, an intelligent model is constructed based on the action mechanism of circular economy development and green finance to improve the system structure.Originality/valueFinally, this paper designs experiments to verify the performance of the system model. The research results show that the system model constructed in this paper meets the actual situation.

The online computer-assisted instruction system has changed the way of knowledge acquisition, and makes knowledge transmission faster, and more con-venient and efficient. This study discusses the key technologies of online com-puter-assisted instruction system with such methods as literature research, system analysis and empirical research, analyzes the requirement of online computer-assisted instruction system with object-oriented analysis method, determines the main functions of online computer-assisted instruction system, and designs the model of online computer-assisted instruction system in detail with the aid of UML technology. The practicality and validity of the model are verified by the re-alization of some interfaces and processes of the system model.

In order to estimate the stability of the roadheader rear support system, took the heavy cantilever roadheader of a coal company as the research object, rigid-flex coupled dynamic model of its rear support system was established based on Pro/E, ADAMS and ANSYS. The hydraulic control system model of rear support was researched in EASY5. These two models built the mechanical-hydraulic coupling system. Analysed the mechanical dynamic simulation results and verified the reliability of hydraulic system when the co-simulation of rear support was made.
