The paper discusses the importance of using extracurricular forms of education-Biology olympiads for the development of students creative potential, their professional development and quality improvement of the educational process. The tasks of the subject olympiad are grouped into three blocks depending on the degree of complexity, allowing to assess the level of intellectual capacity and creative thinking. The number of correctly completed tasks with a choice of one answer is more than 52%, it indicates the students ability to apply basic knowledge in the field of Biology for the solution of the standard problems. 86,06% of students are able to use critical thinking by performing tasks of increased complexity with a multiple choice of answers, to solve standard professional tasks in accordance with the algorithm. 56,74% of students have a high level of intellectual activity, creative approach for solving practice-oriented problems with a free answer. The tasks in the field of molecular Biology of cells, regardless of their type, caused students difficulties. A low average score is typical for practice-oriented tasks associated with the assessment of the organism response to environmental factors and patterns of several traits inheritance with different types of inheritance (0,72 and 0,39, respectively, with a maximum score of 5). The results of the olympiad indicate that the competence approach should be used in Biology teaching for education quality.

The information society necessitates the continuous development of education. At the same time, the development of education creates new opportunities for the development of human potential. The purpose of this work is to analyse the instrumental possibilities of educational change for the development of education in the conditions of demanding educational requests and tasks of professional work with a substantial amount of information. The approaches of joint creative activity of participants of the educational process as effective means that create an unfavorable context for educational changes are determined. It is emphasised that the development of human potential depends on the ability of education to be flexible relative to the needs of the information society. It is determined that the transformation of the social institution of education requires radical changes in the training of a new generation of managers with a high level of professionalism, culture, innovative creative thinking. It is found out that a set of theories of organisational development is submitted methodologically capacious for creating conceptual models of management of educational changes. Reasonably scientific bases of educational changes as objects of public management are characterised by tendentiousness of public management of educational changes of collective nature.

In recent years, the health situation in Ukraine has deteriorated. According to statistics, 50% of children have poor health, 75% of children under 14 have chronic diseases, only 10% of school graduates can be called healthy. The overall incidence of children under the age of 14 increased by 16%, at the age of 15-17 - by 18%. Against this background, the level of physical development of children decreases. The current regulation has updated the work on the implementation of monitoring studies in various fields of activity and at different levels, including in the field of physical culture and sports, in order to increase the efficiency of the process of physical education of schoolchildren. Monitoring the physical development of adolescents is a complex information-analytical and prognostically important system that includes monitoring of health and physical development and its assessment, along with analysis at the level of an individual or a social group to predict future health, both for an individual and for the entire group persons united on a territorial basis or the nature of their activities. Such monitoring helps prevent negative trends in physical development in children and adolescents. Purpose: to analyze the results of monitoring the physical development and physical preparedness of students of the Lyceum Materials and methods: The analysis of materials on this issue was carried out based on the results of the implementation of the national educational initiative "Our New School" in accordance with the plan for the modernization of general education [3], according to which in 2019-2020 in secondary schools of Ivano-Frankivsk, the physical development of schoolchildren and schoolgirls was monitored 100 lyceum students 11-17 years old were examined, who were divided into 2 groups according to their academic performance: 1 gr. consisted of 50 lyceum students (35 girls and 15 boys) with high academic performance (average score 4.75), in the composition of 2 gr. it included 50 lyceum students - "lagging behind" (average score 3.5) (25 girls and 25 boys). Results: monitoring showed that, regardless of the group, lyceum students have an average level of physical development (girls - 62.1%, boys - 57.8%). Only 13.8% of girls and 14.4% of boys have a high level of physical development. Almost a quarter of high school students (23.9% of girls and 27.5% of boys) have a low level of physical development, and there are almost 2 times more such students than lyceum students with a high level of physical development. Conclusion: Summarizing the above, it should be noted that when implementing the results of monitoring physical development, there are two main directions: 1. Correction of deviations identified during monitoring in the state of development of physical condition. 2. Using student monitoring as a basis for creating a sports selection system. Based on this, we can conclude that an important component and subject of monitoring is the physical health of lyceum students, mainly in educational institutions, which contributes to monitoring and management decisions on making adjustments to the educational process.

The continuous modernization of the education system makes the problems of the quality of teacher training increasingly relevant. Moreover, the measures taken to improve the system of teacher education are largely confined to the introduction of new organizational and managerial mechanisms and practically do not affect the internal content and technological structure of the teacher training process.Modern pedagogical universities are constantly looking for innovative models of training teachers that will be able to solve non-standard social and professional tasks. However, recent studies in this area do not fully take into account the nature of pedagogical activity and conditions of its formation. Thus, the need arises for a special study of the processes and means of updating the content and technologies of teacher training in order to control the level of students’ professional competencies development, as required by educational and professional standards. This means the creation of a special educational system in a pedagogical university, which can provide a harmonious and synchronous mastering by future specialists of both subject knowledge and methods of pedagogical activity. The article provides a theoretical study aimed at identifying key patterns of designing a new content for teacher education, the basis of which is the formation of a future teacher as a subject of his own professional activity. The author describes the experience of using a subject-oriented model of education, implemented at Bashkir State Pedagogical University n.a. M. Akmulla. The effectiveness of this model is confirmed by the high level of students’ mastery of designing methods and constructing the educational process, as well as their positive experience in the implementation of educational activities.
