Teaching experience shows that during educational process student perceive graphical information better than analytical relationships. Many educational courses operate with models that were previously available only in mathematics and physics disciplines. As a possible solution, there could be the use of package Matlab Simulink in realization of different algorithms both for engineering disciplines and economic studies. The paper presents examples of using simulation modelling in the educational research processes.

Teaching experience shows that during educational process student perceive graphical information better than analytical relationships. As a possible solution, there could be the use of package Matlab in realization of different algorithms for IT studies. Students are very interested in modern data mining methods, such as artificial neural networks, fuzzy logic, clustering and evolution methods. Series of research were carried out in order to demonstrate the suitability of the Matlab for the purpose of visualization of various simulation models of some data mining disciplines – particularly genetic algorithms. Nowadays the possibilities of evolutionary algorithms are widely used in many optimization and classification tasks. There are four paradigms in the world of evolutionary algorithms: evolutionary programming, evolution strategies, genetic algorithms and genetic programming. This paper analyses present-day approaches of genetic algorithms and genetic programming and examines the possibilities of genetic programming that will be used in further research. Genetic algorithm learning methods are often undeservedly forgotten, although the implementation of their algorithms is relatively strong and can be implemented even for students. In the research part of the study the modelling capabilities in data mining studies were demonstrated based on genetic algorithms and real examples. We assume that students already have prior knowledge of genetic algorithms.

For the purpose of simulation models visualization of various economic disciplines, it is appropriate to use specialized programs that allow to characterize the nature of a particular model, but also make it possible to carry out a simulation model based on various parameters. This article substantiates the usefulness of introduction the simulation models at the initial research process, when simulation models can be imported parallel with analytical relations acquisition. Series of research were carried out in order to demonstrate the suitability of the Matlab Simulink for the purpose of visualization of various simulation models of various economic disciplines. Often, the analytical solution is much simpler than the visual Simulink model, but in the perspective of training purposes, it gives an understanding of the usefulness of such models. In the research part of the study the modelling capabilities in economic studies were demonstrated- adapted models in optimal tax rates computing and equilibrium determination in the competitive market.

Currently, the Slovak system of education requires an increase in its quality, which is influenced by quality of teacher training. Pre-service education of teachers must respond to current requirements concerning their professional competences. Management and planning of education are one of the fundamental teaching skills for teacher’s successful integration in school. The issue is a part of a research project Assessmentof Teacher’s Competences (APVV-14-0446). Planning is an initial activity and a part of the management of educational work. It is a complicated process that a teacher implements at several levels. The paper focuses on the analysis of the nature and components of the competence to plan the teaching process. It presents the results of empirical research carried out with students at the master’s level of their studies at the Faculty of Arts, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra. The need for high-quality pre-service education of teachers requires strengthening their educational needs at the cognitive level. The theoretical aspect and knowledge of the nature and importance of the analyzed competence requires a direct link with practical training of students. The formation and development of future teacher’s professionalism assumes development of their teaching skills which are supported by various modules of teaching experience during their University studies. In the context of developing the competence to plan the teaching process, the ability to create a model lesson is considered to be the basic teaching skill based on the ability of the relevant choice of subject matter, teaching and learning activities to ensure achievement of the set goals by students.

Current social needs emphasize the education of a person with creative thinking, capable of not only finding problems but also solving them. Different strategies are applied in the educational process according to the society's requirements for an educated individual. On this basis, the appropriate content of education, organizational forms, didactic methods and the use of the latest didactic techniques are also determined. One way to achieve this is to introduce other teaching methods, such as inquiry-based teaching, into the teaching process. Inquiry-based learning aims to make science lessons more effective, especially at primary schools, and at the same time seeks to attract students to study them. It has an irreplaceable role in new, modern and successful ways of teaching science. The aim of the paper is to design methodological sheets in the 5th year of elementary school in terms of inquiry-based learning and their application to the teaching process.

This article analyzes the main difference between the concepts of educational research activity and research activity. The main problem is the development of motivation for educational research activities at students. The authors revealed that many factors can influence students’ motivation readiness for research activities; considered the impact of those factors. The article presents various student activities that can help to increase students’ motivation for research activities; identifies and analyzes the research skills and their components (operational, content, motivation). The implementation of traditional forms of education in professional training (lectures, laboratory, practical, seminars, colloquiums, term papers and theses, consultations, individual classes) helps students master scientific information, but does not always contribute to the formation of the necessary skills. It is obvious that the introduction of new theoretical generalizations in the educational process (delivering of problem lectures, introduction of new theoretical units on the most relevant problems of modern science, expanding the list of educational literature and Internet sources, development of new research methods, multimedia presentations) will increase the interest of students in research activities. The educational process will be more successful if the University has an effective educational and research environment aimed at the development of the student’s personality.

Abstract. The purpose of the work is to substantiate the need for an integrated approach to the study and assessment of the labor and health of teachers (using the example of teachers of educational institutions) based on the analysis of literature data and the results of their own sociological, hygienic, clinical, physiological, psychological and statistical research methods. Analysis of literature data, regulatory legal acts on the protection of the health of Russians indicates a different degree of attention to the participants in the educational process, about a certain «preponderance» in favor of the health of students in comparison with care for the health of teachers. It shows the presence of changes in the physical and mental health of teachers, some features of their formation, depending on the teaching experience, seniority, age. When analyzing the information, one-sidedness, fragmentation of studies, and inadequacy of preventive measures are revealed. Health-forming and health-preserving activities are mainly related to students. The conducted studies dictate the need to increase attention to the health and work of teachers based on the implementation of an integrated approach, as well as the need to change / clarify the legal regulation of pedagogical activity when conducting a special assessment of working conditions and when organizing medical care.
