With the diffusion of Web 2.0, opportunities for collaboration, participation and training in the professional environment have widened. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of family set-up on the use of social networks by entrepreneurial women and businesswomen.Epistemologically, the study is based on the logical positivism and the hypothetical-deductive method. From a methodological point of view, this research is quantitative and presents a descriptive design. The participants in the study are woman from Extremadura and Andalucia (Spain), 477 entrepreneurs and 126 businesswomen. The forms of use of social networks by businesswomen and women entrepreneurs varies according to age-group. However, the age does not appear to have any impact on the places where social networks are used. The results lead us to believe that, in order to attain equality in the domain of digital inclusion, it is necessary to set up formal digital training to increase their digital presence and participation.

The theory of the vibrations of the pianoforte string put forward by Kaufmann in a well-known paper has figured prominently in recent discussions on the acoustics of this instrument. It proceeds on lines radically different from those adopted by Helmholtz in his classical treatment of the subject. While recognising that the elasticity of the pianoforte hammer is not a negligible factor, Kaufmann set out to simplify the mathematical analysis by ignoring its effect altogether, and treating the hammer as a particle possessing only inertia without spring. The motion of the string following the impact of the hammer is found from the initial conditions and from the functional solutions of the equation of wave-propagation on the string. On this basis he gave a rigorous treatment of two cases: (1) a particle impinging on a stretched string of infinite length, and (2) a particle impinging on the centre of a finite string, neither of which cases is of much interest from an acoustical point of view. The case of practical importance treated by him is that in which a particle impinges on the string near one end. For this case, he gave only an approximate theory from which the duration of contact, the motion of the point struck, and the form of the vibration-curves for various points of the string could be found. There can be no doubt of the importance of Kaufmann’s work, and it naturally becomes necessary to extend and revise his theory in various directions. In several respects, the theory awaits fuller development, especially as regards the harmonic analysis of the modes of vibration set up by impact, and the detailed discussion of the influence of the elasticity of the hammer and of varying velocities of impact. Apart from these points, the question arises whether the approximate method used by Kaufmann is sufficiently accurate for practical purposes, and whether it may be regarded as applicable when, as in the pianoforte, the point struck is distant one-eighth or one-ninth of the length of the string from one end. Kaufmann’s treatment is practically based on the assumption that the part of the string between the end and the point struck remains straight as long as the hammer and string remain in contact. Primâ facie , it is clear that this assumption would introduce error when the part of the string under reference is an appreciable fraction of the whole. For the effect of the impact would obviously be to excite the vibrations of this portion of the string, which continue so long as the hammer is in contact, and would also influence the mode of vibration of the string as a whole when the hammer loses contact. A mathematical theory which is not subject to this error, and which is applicable for any position of the striking point, thus seems called for.

The paper deals with arrays of numerous power conversion cells, associated in series and/or in parallel to build larger step up or step down direct current (DC)/DC isolated converters. The work focuses on the impact of the spread and distribution of the conversion cell characteristics on the characteristics and performance of the power converter array (PCA). Based on a characterization protocol, about 130 conversion standard cells (CSC) are characterized and classified from a statistical point of view. Three families are defined and representatives are chosen and implemented in various configurations, in open and closed loop control, to analyze the impact of their spread characteristic over the global converter, the PCA. The paper is based on an extended practical set up and protocols, all described in details. Guidelines on CSCs implementation with respect to their dispersion are provided at the end on the paper.

The level of awareness and acceptance of the need to enhance volume and intensity of investment in education and in-house training is increasing. This phenomenon stems from the following facts: the aging of the European societies; an intense technological and organizational progress; and a noticeable process of extension of the scope and length of professional and personal development and activity; accompanied with employees' expectations for better quality of life. The increase in the level of acceptance of the need for increased investment in education and training of employees is accompanied by new challenges, including, in the first place, the need to redefine the approach to investment in training and to the evaluation of its results. The „High-Efficiency‟ point of view, alongside the assessment of the advisability of investment in education and training within a company, raises the need to move away from the traditional system of input oriented financing (i.e. financing resources) and to move towards output oriented funding (i.e. financing results). In other words, instead of paying for teaching, companies want to pay for teaching results. This means that the companies which finance education and training, rise - in the process of assessing the training results – fundamental questions about the improvement of the efficiency of the company; and how an increase in the qualifications of workers facilitates the achievement of organizational objectives. On the other hand, the training results assessment from the participant‟s point of view includes a question about the efficiency of the supplier of educational and training programs, and whether the supplier is able to achieve the promised results. The existing business reality is that the efficiency and effectiveness assessments often do not go beyond the survey measuring the level of satisfaction and self-esteem of the participants. This, in turn, causes a visible quantitative pressures, accompanied by insufficient care for quality and inability to use modern techniques to measure the impact of education and training on business performance. As a result, many entrepreneurs treat the investment in training and education of their employees solely as an expense and a disruption of operations. This is due to the fact that managers do not see a direct effect of the investments on the performance of the company. In addition, managers fear possible hazards in the form of expense claims; loss of trained personel to competitors‟ companies, or excessive self-empowerment of the employee. The study is devoted to presentation and discussion of modern techniques measuring the effectiveness of investment in education and training. The list of methods includes an analysis based on objectives, the targeted evaluation, systemic evaluation, judicial evaluation, and assessment prior to the program.

The expansion of Internet, the development of the new information and communication technologies as well as social networks have revolutionized the social interaction as they have enabled individuals to quickly and conveniently get in touch with each other. The interaction performed online, defined as online interpersonal communication, or the Electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM), as seen in numerous research papers, impacted the consumer behaviour. This paper analyses audience behaviour when making decisions vis-à-vis cultural offers presented in social networks. Although the issue of subjectivity in relation to the offered content in these platforms is set up as a determining factor for using e-WoM and the social networks, the main results suggest that both have been used by audience as a primary source of information when deciding to visit a cultural event. Moreover social networks have been described as places where information is not headed by clienteles, thus significant, customer friendly and trustworthy, despite the fact that all these information are based on subjective impressions of each social network user. The limited number of research on the impact of online communication of the theatre audience has been perceived as an obstacle, as there are no guiding direction how we should do it, and as a challenge, given that through this research we will set the baseline for future researches that will analyse the effectiveness of eWoM.
