The article reveals the problem of implementing environmental environmental control in cities, where new centers of pollution, unauthorized landfills, etc. appear daily. Despite the large number of activities undertaken by environmental organizations, the problem remains open, because the main resource, the city dweller, is poorly involved. The authors indicate that often city dwellers do not receive timely information on the possible places for receiving special waste (batteries, glass containers, thermometers), or on environmental measures being taken, and also do not have the opportunity to quickly send an application for the elimination of the place of illegal garbage storage or illegal dumping. And despite the organization of waste collection points, various subbotniks, landscaping events, hot lines for receiving proposals from the population, as a rule, the primary operational task is not to realize – the availability of information in the field of environmental control of the urban environment. To solve this problem, the authors proposed to design and implement a web-based service for fixing and informing the administrative services and the city population about the environmental situation. The service will consist of a mobile application and a website. The main functional requirements for the web service were: the ability to photograph garbage objects; obtaining the location coordinates of garbage objects; sending data to the server without mandatory user registration; displaying the status of garbage objects on an interactive city map. The article presents the process of modeling the future web service using the notation of a unified modeling language. A use case diagram has been developed that describes the main roles of users who will work with this web service, as well as its functional requirements. In addition, the level of logical presentation of the service in the form of activity diagram is implemented. The physical representation of the web service is described through a deployment diagram.

Purpose Web services play vital role in the development of emerging technologies such as Cloud computing and Internet of Things. Although, there is a close relationship among the discovery, selection and composition tasks of Web services, research community has treated these challenges at individual level rather to focus on them collectively for developing efficient solution, which is the purpose of this work. This paper aims to propose an approach to integrate the service discovery, selection and composition of Semantic Web services on runtime basis. Design/methodology/approach The proposed approach defined as a quality of service (QoS)-aware approach is based on QoS model to perform discovery, selection and composition tasks at runtime to enhance the user satisfaction and quality guarantee by incorporating non-functional parameters such as response time and throughput with the Web services and user request. In this paper, the proposed approach is based on ontology for semantic description of Web services, which provides interoperability and automation in the Web services tasks. Findings This work proposed an integrated framework of Web service discovery, selection and composition which supports end user to search, select and compose the Web services at runtime using semantic description and non-functional requirements. The proposed approach is evaluated by various data sets from the Web Service Challenge 2009 (WSC-2009) to show the efficiency of this work. A use case scenario of Healthcare Information System is implemented using proposed work to demonstrate the usability and requirement the proposed approach. Originality/value The main contribution of this paper is to develop an integrated approach of Semantic Web services discovery, selection and composition by using the non-functional requirements.

In the last decade, selecting suitable web services based on users’ requirements has become one of the major subjects in the web service domain. Any research works have been done - either based on functional requirements, or focusing more on Quality of Service (QoS) - based selection. We believe that searching is not the only way to implement the selection. Selection could also be done by browsing, or by a combination of searching and browsing. In this thesis, we propose a browsing method based on the Scatter/Gather model, which helps users gain a better understanding of the QoS value distribution of the web services and locate their desired services. Because the Scatter/Gather model uses cluster analysis techniques and web service QoS data is best represented as a vector of intervals, or more generically a vector of symbolic data, we apply for symbolic clustering algorithm and implement different variations of the Scatter/Gather model. Through our experiments on both synthetic and real datasets, we identify the most efficient ( based on the processing time) and effective implementations.

The development, registration, discovery, and invocation of quality Web services are vital for the successful implementation of applications using Web services. Considerable research focuses on quality for Web services. Unfortunately, current research on Quality of Service (QoS) for Web services is concentrated on service users and the implementation stage. This research highlights the importance of incorporating QoS at the design and development stages; the authors propose the introduction of QoS at the same time as functional requirements. However, Web Service Description Language (WSDL) describes the functional elements of a Web service, and QoS is significant for this description. Therefore, the authors propose an extension to the WSDL through a generic QoS metamodel, incorporating QoS specifications into the functionalities. This paper begins by defining the required QoS specifications for the development of quality Web services and explores the potential of the Unified Modeling Language as a technique and notation to specify QoS. To properly integrate QoS in the design, the authors propose extensions to the existing UML QoS profile. The paper concludes with the evaluation of the proposed framework and summarises its advantages.

Along with the development of current technology that has been very sophisticated and rapidly happening in this world, namely in a company, agency, even the world of education as well. At PT Sintech Berkah Abadi has an obligation to give permission to employees who submit. At this time, the management of employee exit permits is still running manually and has not been centralized computerized. Therefore, it requires papers in each process and is less efficient and it is difficult to control permit approval by employees if the HRD and the Chair are outside the office. The method used to develop an information system is to apply the analytical method using SWOT analysis, as well as data collection methods, there are three stages that must be done in collecting data, namely, Observation, Interview, and determining Literature Review (Literature Study) with the journal. The design method is done using the Unified Modeling Language (UML), Notepad ++, XAMPP and the web browser used to open the web that has been designed, Google Chrome. With the licensing system in and out of employees at PT Sintech Berkah Abadi can make it easier for employees to permit and more efficient in its use because they do not have to wait for HRD or leaders when outside the city.

Pramesti branded is an online store selling bags, clothes and cosmetics, where the sales system still manual and not computerized. Pramesti Branded resellers have had many both inside and outside the city of Bengkulu city. To solve the above problem, namely to increase sales, minimize the work and provide the needs of customers primarily acts as a reseller then Pramesti Branded want to use technology in the marketing and sales strategies by designing an e-commerce system for express orders dropshiper resellers. To build an application e-commrce express order system for resellers dropshiper analysis in the design of systems that are used to describe the system model using tools such as UML (Unified Modeling Language) in order to facilitate the transfer of the concept system designed to be a program in the form of a use case diagram, class diagram, activity diagram, deployment diagram, components of the diagram, statechart diagram, sequence diargram and in database design using mySQL database. Based on the case study it can be concluded that the application of e-commrce express order system for resellers dropshiper who made this can be a media campaign that helped increase sales, especially for resellers and reduce operating costs for companies and consumers to facilitate the process of booking and payment of a product because it is done online. A technique for creating analysis models of a web application from a business model is proposed for easy and effective development. Moreover, a technique for generating test cases from the sequence diagrams for a web application is proposed. The use case diagram and web page list are generated from the business model which is depicted using the notations of the UML (Unified Modeling Language) activity diagram. The page diagram and logical/physical database models are created based on the web page list and extracted data fields. Test cases for the web application are generated from call messages (including self-call messages) of the UML sequence diagram. The effectiveness of these techniques is shown using a practical case study which is a development project of a web application for RMS (Research material Management System).

In a Web Service-Based System (WSBS) development life cycle, decision of preexisting Web Services is an important task. Every Web Service that has to be reused has an associated risk of failure of not meeting the functional and non-functional requirements. In case of WSBS development there can be many choices possible from amongst the Web Services for a particular situation. The previous Process models in WSBS development do not explicitly specify the key phases and sub-phases which essentially clarify the way Web Service decision, WSBS plan, and, maintain are dependent on each other, and, the nature of key activities that are required to be accomplished during those phases. This understanding is essential to devise an appropriate WSBS development approach. An important concern is the failures of SP Web Services during later stages of development. This can lead to increased integration and maintain cost making WSBS development unprofitable undertaking.
