In the first quarter of the 21st century, Russia will face the need to develop the southern latitudinal belt and form a new northern latitudinal belt of Russia’s economic development in Siberia. At the same time, specialists from the Institute of Economics and Industrial Engineering of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences predict the possibility of strengthening the single economic space of the state, relying not only on raw materials, but also on the transport and logistics opportunities that open up when servicing transport corridors. The development of the road network of the northern latitudinal belt of economic development requires taking into account the features of the geocomplex elements when designing roads in the territory of the second climatic zone of Western Siberia. The article presents the structure of research aimed at studying the relations and patterns that determine the systemic relationship between the components of the «highway – environment» system in economically promising areas of Western Siberia. The research structure is based on the systems approach and includes two main blocks – theoretical and experimental ones, as well as their elements and internal and external relations. The study gives the detailed examination of such issues as organization and performance of experimental part of research on studying composition and properties of clay soils. The main outcomes of field and laboratory studies are shown. The dependences of variations of elastic modulus, angle of internal friction, and specific adhesion of clay soils on their relative humidity are established. Deviations are determined between the values of soil characteristics calculated from these dependences and the values presented in Industry Road Code 218.046-01 (preliminary national standard PNST 265-2018). The article is prepared on the basis of the author’s PhD dissertation research on the topic of «Justification of regional calculated values of clay soil characteristics for the road pavement design in Western Siberia» (STU, Novosibirsk, 2017).

Hence, improving the status of women by way of their economic empowerment is highly called for. Entrepreneurship is a key tool for the economic empowerment of women around the world for alleviating poverty. Entrepreneurship is now widely recognized as a tool of economic development in India also. In this paper I have tried to discuss the reasons and role of Women Entrepreneurship with the help of Push and Pull factors. In the last I have also discussed the problems and the road map of Women Entrepreneurs development in India.

Over the last two years the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA) carried out a major project: a vision for the Australian economy and practical policies to attain that vision by the year 2000. One of the key goals was to halve the official unemployment rate. The results are outlined in this article. Emphasis is placed on a policy and incentive structure that is skewed in favour of exports, productive investment and savings, a more structurally efficient and flexible labour market, responsible aggregate wage outcomes and acceptance that growth is only sustainable if the short—term costs of structural reform are borne equitably.

Abstract. Unclassified roads comprise 60% of the road network in the United Kingdom (UK). The resilience of this locally important network is declining. It is considered by the Institution of Civil Engineers to be "at risk" and is ranked 26th in the world. Many factors contribute to the degradation and ultimate failure of particular road sections. However, several UK local authorities have identified that in drought conditions, road sections founded upon shrink/swell susceptible clay soils undergo significant deterioration compared with sections on non-susceptible soils. This arises from the local road network having little, if any structural foundations. Consequently, droughts in East Anglia have resulted in millions of pounds of damage, leading authorities to seek emergency governmental funding. This paper assesses the use of soil-related geohazard assessments in providing soil-informed maintenance strategies for the asset management of the locally important road network of the UK. A case study draws upon the UK administrative county of Lincolnshire, where road assessment data have been analysed against mapped clay-subsidence risk. This reveals a statistically significant relationship between road condition and susceptible clay soils. Furthermore, incorporation of UKCP09 future climate projections within the geohazard models has highlighted roads likely to be at future risk of clay-related subsidence.

Three methods are used for Road Pavement Design for access road and internal roads to Dasherkandi Sewage Treatment Plant in Bangladesh, the method, standards and ESA for design of the road are introduced, the issues of design standard for Sewage Treatment Plant, traffic increase rate and seal coat for asphalt concrete of the road are discussed, some of the propose is made to minimize different understanding in execution of the contract, it provides necessary references for similar oversea project in similar country.

Subject. The article addresses a strategy for socio-economic development of the region. Objectives. The purpose is to define contradictions and opportunities to achieve the expected results of the "Strategy of Socio-economic Development of the Chuvash Republic until 2035". Methods. The study rests on the systems approach, using the methods of statistical, neural network, and cluster analysis. Results. The statistical analysis of trends in expected outcomes of the Strategy implementation enabled to build a median hierarchy of their growth rates, where the indicator of an increase in the number of visits to cultural institutions is a priority in setting the goals for the region’s development. The neural network analysis demonstrates the importance of the growth rate of real accrued wages of employees of organizations and the insignificant value of the increase in the number of visits to cultural institutions for effective achievement of all objectives of the Strategy. The cluster analysis shows the importance of growth rates of indicators of the proportion of organizations engaged in technological innovations, and the proportion of shipped innovative products. The analysis of growth rates of GRP and expenditures of the consolidated budget of the Chuvash Republic reveals a decrease in the cyclical lag of the first dynamic pattern from the second one. Conclusions. For the Chuvash Republic, a strategic priority is to overcome the GRP growth limit through the innovative development of backbone areas of economic activity.

Surface temperature significantly affects the asphalt layers modulus and entire pavement structure response to vehicles traffic loading. Because of the rheological properties of bitumen binders, the asphalt performs similarly to temperature-susceptible visco-elastic materials. The historical temperature data of local regions is necessary to design sustainable pavement structures. Likewise, the layers’ material mechanical properties determined at specific temperatures is essential for proper design too. This paper presents an analysis of pavement surface temperature classification results. Data analysis covers temperature data from the Road Weather Information Stations from the past ten years. An analysis of various temperature profile forecast methods is presented, followed by a review of recent research on the impact of temperature and cause of failure. Particular emphasis is laid on sorting the qualitative temperature data. The complete linkage clustering method had been used for establishing the most similar pairs for classification. Accordingly, the territory of Lithuania was divided into three main regions with different pavement temperature distributions for each temperature interval. Temperature classification along these lines enables pavement responses to be estimated over the pavement design life.

Entrepreneurship has been deliberated as multidimensional and multidisciplinary study. From the economic point of view entrepreneurship is the central force for economic development for any nation. Scholars and policy makers now have started to see entrepreneurship as panacea for inclusive growth. Entrepreneurships are most widely popular and discussed area. Study on small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) has been maturing for the last decade as it has been regarded as significant player for the social development along with the economic development. In Bangladesh, SMEs account for a large proportion of the total establishments in various sectors. Considering the importance of the SME sector in Bangladesh, this study intends to explore and sketch-out the landscape of current SME setting in Bangladesh. With this aim the study has extensively carried out literature review, observed and understood the secondary data obtained from various organizations, and finally presented a policy driven recommendation (micro and macro level) which would enable to develop the SME sector in a developing country like Bangladesh.
