This article discusses selected aspects of the problem of self-perception by a sick individual, specific to the poetry of Polish women of the last few decades. The aim of the analysis is to show that the body is central to the illness experience and that a new type of intimacy appears in connection with its ailment. This is a „clinical intimacy”, the specificity of which is defined by a confrontation with suffering, the proliferation of the feeling of isolation, the intensity of emotions related to making the body public, its discovery and exposure in a hospital setting. The issue of „gender expropriation” in a marginal situation is also important, as is the scar, wound, physical violation of the body boundary, read as the „punctum” of the patient's body. The interpretation emphasises the individualization of artistic representations of the aforementioned aspects of „clinical intimacy”. The anthropological research perspective adopted in the sketch allows for the diagnosis of the subject matter in the context of the process of shaping subjective identity.

The object of this research is women’s lyrics in the Even literature. It is underlined that women's poetry, represented by the Evdokia Nikolaevna Bokova, Maria Amamich, Maria Prokopievna Fedotova-Nulgynet, Varvara Grigorievna Belolyubskaya-Arkuk, Ekaterina Nikolaevna Gerasimova-Aynady is not broadly reflected in literary studies, although the topic was discusses by the writers, literary scholars and critics, such as V. B. Okorokovs, V. Shemetov, V. Sivtsev, A. Burykin and others. The subject of this research is the works of Evdokia Bokova and Varvara Arkuk. The article explores the genre uniqueness of poems, as well as cognitive, educational and aesthetic meaning of lyrics in the works of E. Bokova and V. Arkuk. Relevance of this study is defined by the need for conducting contextual analysis of the Even women’s poetry. The scientific novelty consist in characterization of aesthetic uniqueness of women's poetry in the Even literature, and in analysis of certain aspects of the works of E. Bokova, V. Arkuk as a remarkable hue in description of the images of nature and inner emotions of the people of the North. The poems of E. Bokova and V. Arkuk are familiar to wide audience. The collections of poems that enriched the Even poetry with women’s lyricism were published in the mid-1990s in the Even language.

The paper investigates manners of linguistic description of psychosomatic, autobiographically interpreted experience in contemporary women’s poetry, which is analyzed in the context of the poetics of the moment, with reference to Hans Ulrich Gumbrecht’s concept of “poetry as a mode of attention.” The authoress is particularly interested in the figure of paronomasia, evoking homonymic, parallel spheres: the material and the transcendental one. The article contains close reading interpretations of poems by, among others, Krystyna Miłobędzka, Teresa Ferenc, Bogusława Latawiec and Ludmiła Marjańska, in which paronomasia introduces the reader into a dual dimension of existence, both anchoring the subject in the physical, bodily reality and provoking metaphysical questions.

Tone is the way the author expresses an attitude toward the subject. Tone often poses a challenge for translators. The present study is comparative as it explored two Arabic translations of the same Afghan Women's Poetry (Landay). The first translation was done by Jamil Salah in 2002 from the French collection Le suicide et le chant, and the second by Abdallah Abushmaes in 2018 from the English Songs of Love and War: Afghan Women's Poetry. The study aimed at identifying the strategies employed by the two translators to convey the tone expressed in Landay poems, and determining their effectiveness in transferring it into Arabic. The study shows that the two translators adopted different strategies at the word and structure levels which in some cases overlooked the significance of tone, while in other cases they seemed to recreate a similar tone.

The object of this research is the women's poetry of Yakutia of the turn of the XX – XXI centuries. The subject of this research is the evolution of the lyrical poetry book in modern Yakut women's poetry. Works of the two leading lyricists of modernity Natalia Kharlampieva and Olga Koryakina-Umsuura served as the material for this research. Comparative-typological analysis of their works is aimed at determination of genre characteristics of the lyric poetry book and the ensemble unity of the poetry book of various years. The author examines the specificity of the lyric poetry book as a metagenre and its genre characteristics. Special attention is given to the ideological-thematic, architectonic and leitmotif components that unite the works into a single, holistic literary text. The author also explores the problem of formation of the ensemble unity of books of poems within the limits of works of a single author, which unifying principle is a lyrical metaplot that develops from book to book. The lyrical poetry book is presented as a form of authorial self-identification. The main conclusions of consists in determination of specificity of formation of the lyric poetry book and ensemble unity in Yakut women's poetry, its individual authorial and ethnic unique features. The comparative material allows revealing the dominant genre attributes of metagenre formations that imply “novelism” of the entirety of poetry books by Natalia Kharlampieva, and the cyclicity, intertextual coherence of the books by Umsuura. The author’s special contribution consists in elaboration of the methods for analyzing book macrocyclic forms through the prism of their motif-leitmotif systematicity and architectonic completeness. The novelty of this work is defined by the fact that for the first time in Yakut literary studies, Yakut women's lyrics is described as a developing system, aiming for “larger” macro-forms as an opportunity to systemically present the fullness of authorial worldview.

THE germ of that which follows came into being many years ago in the days of my youth as a university instructor and assistant professor. It was generated by the then quite outspoken attitude of colleagues in the “exact sciences”; the sciences of which the subject-matter can be exactly weighed and measured and the force of its movements mathematically demonstrated. They assured us that the study of languages and literature had little or nothing scientific about it because: “It had no domain of concrete fact in which to work.” Ergo, the scientific spirit was theirs by a stroke of “efficacious grace” as it were. Ours was at best only a kind of “sufficient grace,” pleasant and even necessary to have, but which could, by no means ensure a reception among the elected.

In this paper an orbit computation program for artificial satellites is presented. This program is operational and it has already been used to compute the orbits of several satellites. After an introductory discussion on the subject of artificial satellite orbit computations, the features of this program are thoroughly explained. In order to achieve the representation of the orbital elements over short intervals of time a drag-free perturbation theory coupled with a differential correction procedure is used, while the long range behavior is obtained empirically. The empirical treatment of the non-gravitational effects upon the satellite motion seems to be very satisfactory. Numerical analysis procedures supporting this treatment and experience gained in using our program are also objects of discussion.

Rule: I'd like at this point to bring up the subject of cables and wireways around the telescope. We've touched upon this twice during previous sessions: the cable wrap up problem, the communications problem, and data multiplexing problem. I think we'll ask Bill Baustian if he will give us a brief run down on what the electrical run problems are, besides doubling the system every year.

The Mesozoic-Cenozoic coral Order Scleractinia has been suggested to have originated or evolved (1) by direct descent from the Paleozoic Order Rugosa or (2) by the development of a skeleton in members of one of the anemone groups that probably have existed throughout Phanerozoic time. In spite of much work on the subject, advocates of the direct descent hypothesis have failed to find convincing evidence of this relationship. Critical points are:(1) Rugosan septal insertion is serial; Scleractinian insertion is cyclic; no intermediate stages have been demonstrated. Apparent intermediates are Scleractinia having bilateral cyclic insertion or teratological Rugosa.(2) There is convincing evidence that the skeletons of many Rugosa were calcitic and none are known to be or to have been aragonitic. In contrast, the skeletons of all living Scleractinia are aragonitic and there is evidence that fossil Scleractinia were aragonitic also. The mineralogic difference is almost certainly due to intrinsic biologic factors.(3) No early Triassic corals of either group are known. This fact is not compelling (by itself) but is important in connection with points 1 and 2, because, given direct descent, both changes took place during this only stage in the history of the two groups in which there are no known corals.

The growth of Ag films deposited on various substrate materials such as MoS2, mica, graphite, and MgO has been investigated extensively using the in situ electron microscopy technique. The three stages of film growth, namely, the nucleation, growth of islands followed by liquid-like coalescence have been observed in both the vacuum vapor deposited and ion beam sputtered thin films. The mechanisms of nucleation and growth of silver films formed by ion beam sputtering on the (111) plane of silicon comprise the subject of this paper. A novel mode of epitaxial growth is observed to that seen previously. The experimental arrangement for the present study is the same as previous experiments, and the preparation procedure for obtaining thin silicon substrate is presented in a separate paper.
