AbstractSuppression of arcing between the target and plasma during PVD is a key issue for defect reduction, yield improvement and high quality metallization in microelectronics manufacturing. An integrated mini sparcle product has been designed for Endura HP PVD™ sputtering sources. Characteristics of arcing and mechanisms for suppression are discussed here. Process characterization with Ti, TiN and Al sputtering proves that the arc suppression unit has little adverse impact on film properties. The uniformity of reactive sputtered TiN is improved with arc suppression. Marathon evaluation indicates significant reduction in TiN defect and Interconnect metal stack defect. The study of the application for a wide variety of materials (Al, Ti, TiN, SiW, Si) establishes a correlation between deposition rate loss and sputtering power and this relation is found to be almost independent of the materials sputtered. The impact on throughput for typical metal stack is also presented in this paper.

AbstractAn electron beam evaporation method has been used to prepare tin doped indium oxide (ITO) films with 95 wt.% In2O3 and 5 wt.% SnO2 in an oxygen atmosphere. It was found that the deposition rate and oxygen pressure strongly influence the film properties when the substrate temperature was lower than 200°C. In an optimal condition, highly transparent (transmittance ˜ 90% at wavelength 570 nm) and conductive (resistivity – 3×10−4Ω-cm) films of thickness around 2000 Å at substrate temperature as low as 180°C can be obtained.

ABSTRACTThe electronic transport properties of high deposition rate a-Si:H films prepared by HWCVD have been investigated in detail by employing the microwave photomixing technique. The high deposition rates (up to 1 µm/min.) were achieved by adding a second filament, increasing deposition pressure, silane flow rate, and decreasing filament-to-substrate distance. The effect of the deposition rate on the resultant film properties with respect to the substrate temperature, deposition pressure and silane flow rate was studied. It was found that the film transport properties do not change monotonically with increasing deposition rate. The photoconductivity peaks at ∼70-90 Å/s, where both the drift mobility and lifetime peak, consistent with the deposition rate dependence of the range and depth of the potential fluctuations. High quality, such as a photoconductivity-to-dark-conductivity ratio of ∼105 and nearly constant low charged defect density, can be maintained at deposition rates up to ∼150 Å/s, beyond which the film properties deteriorate rapidly as a result of an enhanced effect of the long-range potential fluctuations due to a considerable increase in the concentration of the charged defects. Our present results indicate that medium silane flow rate, low pressure, and higher substrate temperature are generally required to maintain high quality films at high deposition rates.

AbstractSiO2 thin firms were fabricated in a remote electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) plasma by tctraethoxysilane (TEOS) as the silicon source. Oxygen was used as the plasma gas. A mesh was placed between the TEOS gas outlet and the substrate. In the present investigation a-SiO2 films were deposited with and without the mesh and film properties were studied comparatively. The deposition rate increased when the mesh was attached. The optimum deposition rate is observed when the mesh voltage was zero, that is the mesh was grounded. The deposition rates of both methods were also dependnt on the TEOS flow rate, applied microwave power and the substrate temperature. These three parameters have significant roles in controlling the film quality. Good quality SiO2 films can be obtained with a higher deposition rate when a mesh is attached.

Since inception, the growth of the Indian stock market has been constrained through unethical, illegal and self-actualized activities of swanky persons involved in different capacities in the market. The stock market was trying to retrieve itself from the devastating effect of Harshad Mehta share market scam, when within a gap of ten years it was once again pushed into the darkness of the dungeon by another demon-child of the country- Ketan Parekh. Corporations have been looted by the insider traders, diversifying internal information to an external in lieu of cash. Investigations in the majority cases have proved the involvement of the high ranking officers of the companies in the crime, sophistically referred to as white-collar crime. It has an adverse impact on the growth and sustainability of the share market. Under the light of the above issue, this paper endeavors to study the impact of such crime on the share market. It focuses on the mechanism behind the insider-trading, its impact on the share market and the regulators supervision on the issue. Finally, suggestions have been provided which will contribute towards the dream of every Indian-a fraud-free share market focusing towards the overall development of the country.

Abstract: Scholarly publishing and access to high-quality information may in fact be threatened, rather than improved, by the revolution in communications, particularly in a fully commercial Internet. The effects of the political revolution in Eastern Europe on scholarship and quality publishing are used as a touchstone of the dangers that occur when naïve revolutionaries make swift changes without fully recognizing the impact upon delicately balanced social institutions such as non-profit organizations. Résumé: La révolution en communications, particulièrement en ce qui regarde un Internet commercialisé, plutôt que d'améliorer l'édition savante et l'accès à de l'information de haute qualité, pourrait en fait poser une menace pour ceux-ci. Cet article examine comment la révolution politique en Europe de l'Est a influé sur la recherche et l'édition de qualité. Il utilise cet exemple pour examiner les dangers que peuvent courir certains révolutionnaires naïfs quand ils instaurent des changements rapides san songer à leur impact sur des institutions sociales à équilibre délicat comme les organisations à but non lucratif.

SUMMARY We insert an automated high-quality (HQ) auditor into established experimental audit markets to test the impact of high-quality competition on other auditors' supply of and managers' demand for audit quality. Theory predicts that managers will demand high levels of audit quality to avoid investors' price-protecting behavior. This demand should result in the HQ auditor dominating the market and increase other auditors' audit quality provision to compete with the HQ auditor. However, we find that the HQ auditor does not dominate the market—despite holding audit costs constant and investors placing a premium on HQ auditor reports. We also find that adding an HQ auditor results in other auditors lowering audit quality. Additional analyses indicate some managers demand lower audit quality to avoid negative audit reports, consistent with loss aversion as a potential explanation. Our findings indicate a need to develop a more comprehensive theory of the demand for auditing. The study investigates the macroeconomic effects of public debt in India during 1980–2017 using a structural vector autoregression framework. The objective is to examine the impact of public debt on the interest rate, investment, inflation and economic growth in India. The results of the impulse response functions show that public debt has an adverse impact on economic growth but a positive impact on the long-term interest rate in the short run and a mixed effect (both negative and positive) on investment and inflation. We also find that domestic debt has a more adverse impact on the economy than external debt. The estimated variance decomposition analysis finds that much of the variation in selected macro variables are explained by public debt and growth in India. This study suggests that public debt especially domestic debt should be controlled and channelled productively to have a favourable impact on the economy. JEL Classification: H63, O40, C40

Quality of plum jerkum is significantly associated to the profile of volatile compounds. Therefore, we decided to assess the impact of various fermentation types on selected properties of plum jerkums, especially compounds which contribute to the aroma of the finished product. We used the following yeast strains: S. cerevisiae S1, H. uvarum H2, and Ethanol RED (S. cerevisiae). Moreover, we considered spontaneous fermentation. S. cerevisiae and H. uvarum strains were isolated during the fermentation of Čačanska Lepotica or Węgierka Dąbrowicka (plum cultivars), respectively. As for fermentation type, spontaneous fermentation of H. uvarum H2 provided the best results. It could be associated to the fact that plum juices fermented with H. uvarum H2 presented the highest concentration of terpenoids, esters, or some higher alcohols. In the current paper, application of indigenous strains of yeasts resulted in the required oenological characteristics, e.g., highest fermentation efficiency and concentration of ethanol was determined in juices fermented with Ethanol RED (S. cerevisiae) and also with S. cerevisiae S1. Our results suggested that indigenous strains of yeasts present in plums demonstrate great potential for the production of plum jerkums of high quality.

This study analyses the impact of competition on liquidity creation by banks and investigates the dynamics between diversification, liquidity creation and competition for banks operating in India during the period from 2005 to 2018. Using the broad and narrow measures of liquidity creation, an inverse relationship is determined between liquidity creation and competition. The study also indicates a trade-off between pro-competitive policies to improve consumer welfare and the liquidity-destroying effects of competition, and it highlights how diversification affects liquidity creation. Highly diversified banks in India create less liquidity compared with less-diversified banks, both public and private. The liquidity-destroying effects of competition is intensified among highly diversified private banks, which suggest that diversification has not moderated the adverse impact of competition. This study aimed to describe the health-related quality of life of elderly women with experience in fall treatment as well as to prepare basic data for the development of interventions to improve the quality of life for this group. The study was based on raw data from the 2019 Korea Community Health Survey. Using the SPSS program, the characteristics of the subjects were tested by frequency, percentage, and chi-square test. To establish the impact of fall experience on the health-related quality of life of elderly women, the OR and 95% CI were calculated using multiple logistic regression analysis. Of the 4260 people surveyed, 44.7% of the elderly women said they had a high quality of life, whereas 55.3% of the elderly women said they had a low quality of life. A younger age was associated with a better-rated health-related quality of life. Those who lived in a city and had a high level of education tended to describe a high quality of life. The quality of life was considered high by those who exercised, but low by those who were obese or diabetic. The results of this study can lead to a better understanding of the experiences of elderly women who have experienced falls, and they can be used as basic data for the development of related health programs.
