The health of farm poultry depends on the balance between normal and potentially pathogenic intestinal microflora. Any changes in this equilibrium are accompanied by functional impairments, which, in turn, lead to a decrease in productivity. The use of probiotics helps to avoid imbalance of intestinal microflora and death of young animals. In this connection, it is relevant to study the effects of probiotic drugs to improve the vitality and immune function of the poultry. The purpose of the research was to clarify the effect of BPS-44 and different amounts of yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae on the activity of the humoral level of natural resistance in chicken broilers. Experiments were carried out on broiler chicks-308 grown in the Fedyuk M farm in the Zolochiv district of Lviv oblast. The maintenance of the chickens was cellular with free access to feed and water. Technological parameters of broiler cultivation (temperature and light regime) were in accordance with the norms of ONTP-2005. Experiments were conducted in 4 groups of broiler chickens of 100 chicks in each according to the scheme: the control group was fed with the standard feed (SC) according to the existing norms recommended for the ROSS-308 cross; the experimental group I in addition to the SC received a probiotic BPS-44 (registration certificate No. 2154-04-0254-06 dated November 24, 2006), based on the production strain of bacteria Bacillus subtilis ssp. subtilis 44-p, dose 0.21 g/kg, the experimental group II – 1% yeast Saccharomyces cerévisiae; the experimental group III of chickens – 2% yeast Saccharomyces cerévisiae. Blood was taken from chickens in order to carry out immunological research at different age intervals: 11, 27, 34 and 41 days of age. Blood serum was determined by bactericidal and lysozyme activity and the content of circulating immune complexes. The stimulatory effect of BPS-44 and yeast Saccharomyces cerеvisiae in the composition of mixed fodder for broiler chickens on the dynamics of the formation of humoral protection factors in the bird organism was established. At the same time, in the conditions of use of yeast Saccharomyces cerэvisiae in the composition of mixed fodder, a higher level of indices of the humoral level of non-specific resistance was recorded, than the preparation BPS-44.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of fresh yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) supplementation in the dairy cows’ diets on productive performances and health status. The study was carried out in the experimental farm of the Research and Development Institute for Bovine Balotești on 50 multiparous Romanian Black and Spotted dairy cows, randomly divided into two groups (N = 25 heads/group), according to age, milk yield, body weight and health status. The experimental group received 80 g Saccharomyces cerevisiae/head/day for one year. The groups were fed with the same diet and had free access to water and salt. Results were expressed as a mean (±Standard Deviation). The t-test was applied to obtain the significance of difference. Supplementation of the diet with Saccharomyces cerevisiae had a significant effect (P <0.001) on milk yield (20.71±1.65 l/head/day) for the experimental group comparing with the control group (18.22±1.81 l/head/day), and on milk protein and lactose (P <0.05). The addition of Saccharomyces cerevisiae in dairy cows’ diet did not improve the milk fat, hematological and biochemical/urine indicators in the experimental group (P >0.05). However, for alkaline phosphatase, differences at the end of the study have been observed (P <0.01). The beneficial effect of the yeast and yeast products in ruminants could be attributed to microbial activity by increasing the number of beneficial bacteria in the rumen of the animals. The use of Saccharomyces cerevisiae as an alternative source of economic protein, vitamins and minerals in dairy cows’ diet represents an effective measure to optimize animal productivity.

Recently, interest in the use of bacteriophage therapy in poultry has arisen in the context of the growing problem of antibiotic-resistant microorganisms, as the need to find alternative antibacterial agents is urgent. In addition, EU legislation prohibits the use of antibiotics in feed to stimulate the growth of animals and poultry. Bafasal – a new and innovative agent based on natural components of the ecosystem, has a high specificity to Salmonella serovars, in particular, S. enteritidis, S. typhimurium, S. mbandaka, S. gallinarum, S. іnfantis, which are most often diagnosed in poultry farming. This is the first bacteriophage product on the poultry market, which is recommended as a feed additive for broiler chickens. The article presents the results of studies on the safety of Bafasal under the application as a feed additive for the prevention of bacterial diseases in poultry breeding. Bafasal was used for chickens of the experimental group according to the following scheme: from 1 to 14 days of the experiment – per 10 chickens – 50 cm3 of feed additive dissolved to 0,5% concentration; and from 15 to 35 days – 100 cm3 of the drug dissolved to 0,25 % concentration. Feeding of poultry of the control and experimental groups was carried out with identical feeds in accordance with regulatory requirements, taking into account the age of the bird. The clinical condition of the bird’s body was monitored daily, on the 35th day of the experiment; ten chickens from each group were taken blood samples for further laboratory tests. The morphological and biochemical parameters of the broiler chicken’s blood under the application of Bafasal feed additive were studied. It was found that the hematological and biochemical parameters of broiler chickens in the experimental group were within the physiological norm for poultry of this age on fattening, and therefore corresponded to the status of a conditionally healthy organism without signs of pathophysiological abnormalities. There was a reliable increase, within the physiological norm, in the relative number of lymphocytes by 11, 9 % (p <0,05) and a tendency to increasing the number of leukocytes, which showed a sufficient immune potential of the birds and an increase in cellular factors of natural resistance, compared with control chickens. According to the parameters of mineral metabolism, the serum content of Calcium and Phosphorus within the physiological norm was noted, which indicated a sufficient level of mineral supply of the organism of the experimental birds as a whole. In addition, in chicken fed Bafasal throughout the fattening period, the serum enzyme’s ALT, AST and creatine kinase activities and the content of total cholesterol not differ significantly from the control group, indicating the absence of signs of hepatotoxic effects of the studied feed additive.

Improvement of welfare of piglets is one of the key factors which underlie the effectiveness of producing pork and the profitability of pig farming. This article offers a solution to the main industrial problem – creation of comfortable maintenance conditions for pigs using toys which satisfy their ethological needs. Piglets used in the experiment were kept in the swine complex of agricultural production of Agrofirm Mig-Service-Agro Cooperative in Novoodesky district of Mykolaiv Oblast (Ukraine). The objective of the study was assessment of the effect of toys on the behaviour of piglets, level of concentration of hormone serotonin in blood plasma and their energy of growth. The experiment was performed on 120 weaned piglets aged 28 days, which were divided according to the principle of analogues with 60 individuals in each group: I – the control group, the animals were kept with no toys; II – the experimental group, where the animals had toys. During the experiment chronometric monitoring of the piglets’ behavioural acts was carried out using video observation, we extracted blood samples for determination of the content of the hormone serotonin using the method of highly-efficient fluid chromatography and assessed the growth of the piglets. After the end of the experiment, we determined that the presence of toys reduced the intragroup aggression, which was accompanied by decrease in the duration of fights and almost three-fold increase in playing behaviour. Among piglets which had access to toys, the number of individuals observed to bite tails and ears decreased from 11 to 3. In the period of the study, the concentration of serotonin in the blood plasma of piglets who had free access to toys was 10 times higher compared with animals of the control group. Change in the behaviour patterns among the animals of the experimental group led to significant differences regarding the parameters of growth, where probable increase in the live weight at the age of 90 days was observed, which was associated with significant increase in their mean daily weight gain compared with the animals of the control group. This study confirms that use of toys for piglets during growth completion can prevent features of aggression and abnormal forms of stereopathy within groups, increase the live weight and mean daily weight gain and improve emotional condition, which affects the welfare of pigs.

The paper studies the influence of feeding broiler chickens in the composition of animal feed preparation BPS–44 and various doses of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae on the intensity of lipid peroxidation (LPO) in terms of vaccination against Gumboro disease. The study was conducted on four groups of chickens at 100 birds each. The control group of chickens fed a standard feed (SC) and a 15–day–old vipoyuvaly vaccine against Gumboro disease (Gumbokal IM Forte SPF). The first experimental group of birds, in addition to the UK received – probiotic BPS–44 (based on Bacillus subtilis strain 44) in an amount of 0.21 g / kg, the second research group – 1% of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The third research group of chickens – 2% of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. For studies using the blood that was taken from the chickens after decapitation at different ages: 11–, 27–, 34– and 41–day–old.It was stated a higher content of intermediate and final products of lipid peroxidation in the blood plasma of broilers in the 27–, 34– and 41–day–old, compared with 11–day, which indicates an increase in the intensity of lipid peroxidation processes and indicates their dependence on age and poultry immunization period . Feeding broiler chickens in the composition of feed yeast Saccharomuces cerevisie and probiotic BPS–44 causes an inhibitory effect on the intensity of lipid peroxidation processes in their body, namely a reduction (p <0,01 – 0,001) content of lipid hydroperoxide and TBA–active products can be detoxication properties associated with study drugs.

We studied dynamics of live weight and morphological composition of carcasses in Ross 308 chickens at 1-, 21-, 28-, 34-, 38- and 42-day ages when SUB-PRO probiotic was included in the diet instead of Maxus G feed antibiotic in amount of 100 g/ton of feed. By the age of 42, chickens in the control group (I) reached a live weight of 2234 28.4 g, chickens in the experimental group (II) - 2329 27.3 g, and chickens who took feed antibiotic (III) - 2320 33.4 g. Live weight of chickens of the II group by the age of 42 days exceeded the I group by 95 g or 4.25 % (P 0.05), the III group - by 86 g or 3.85 %. In terms of carcass weight, the experimental group exceeded the control group by 4.60 % (P 0.05), group III - by 4.53 %. The meat productivity of chickens taking antibiotic was not studied further, since that had no practical significance. Over the entire period of rearing, the average daily gain in live weight in control chickens was 52.20 g, in the experimental chickens - 54.46 g. The relative muscle weight in broiler carcasses of the experimental group increased from 55.34 to 66.37 %v from 1 to 42 days of age, while the relative bone weight decreased from 33.23 to 16.78 %. By the age of 42, absolute muscle and bone weight had 123.47- and 51.91-fold increase, respectively, in comparison with diurnal weight. The data of anatomical cutting of chicken carcasses showed that, in terms of muscle and bone content, the most valuable were: breast - 84.63 and 8.25 %, thigh - 75.66 and 12.54 %, respectively; less valuable: drumstick - 67.86 and 20.98 %, wing - 50.58 and 33.53 %, respectively. Diameter of muscle fibers of superficial pectoralis muscle in 42-day-old broilers was 55.20 m; water content - 75.10 %, fat - 1.60 %, protein - 22.31 %. In terms of microbiological parameters, carcass meat meets the requirements of GOST 31468-2012 interstate standard. The inclusion of SUB-PRO probiotic in chicken diet instead of antibiotic does not reduce productivity, but excludes the negative consequences of antibiotic use.

The purpose of the research was to clarify the effect of chicken broilers feeding in the composition of mixed fodder with Vitamins E and C on the cellular link of non-specific resistance of the organism and, in particular, the parameters of pseudoiesinophils phagocytosis in blood. The research was carried out on chickens broiler – 308 grown in the farm “Fedyuk M” in the Zolochiv district of Lviv region. The keeping of the chickens was cellular with free access to feed and water. Experiments were conducted in 4 groups of broiler chickens of 100 chicks in each according to the scheme: the control group was fed with the standard feed (SC) according to the existing norms recommended for the cross ROSS-308; the first experimental group in addition to the SC received vitamin Е 1g/10 kg of mixed fodder; the second experimental group received vitamin C 2.5 g/10 kg of mixed fodder; the third experimental groups in addition to the ration received Vitamin C 2.5 g/10 kg and Vitamin E 1 g/10 of mixed fodder. For carrying out of immunological researches in chickens blood was taken in different age periods: 27-, 34- and 41-day-old age. In the whole blood, the phagocytic activity of pseudoiesinophils (FA), phagocytic index (FI) and phagocytic number (FF) were determined. For research, the daily culture of Escherichia coli (strain VKM-125) was used. The stimulatory effect of vitamins E and C in the composition of mixed fodder for chicken broiler broilers on the indices of pseudoiesinophils phagocytosis of blood was determined. As evidenced by a significantly higher phagocytic activity, phagocytic index and phagocytic count of pseudoiselinophils in blood of chickens in the experimental groups by comparison with the control group. At the same time there was a direct correlation between phagocytic activity and phagocytic index and index in blood of chickens broiler in experimental groups. At the same time, the ability of blood pseudoiesinophils to phagocytosis of microbial cells was higher in chicken broilers, which were fed with vitamin E and C.

Objectives: In this paper, the effects of tobacco on aerobic exercise ability and physical fitness recovery of college students were studied. Methods: University group sports intervention form: traditional characteristic project (basketball) + Taiji soft ball (R&D intervention project). Exercise time: 3 times/week; Activity duration: 30min; Activity intensity: the heart rate is controlled at 120-140 beats/min. All the college students in the experimental group are students who have never smoked, and the college students in the control group are students who have smoked for more than two years. The other conditions are the same. Results: The exercise time and endurance of experimental groups I and II were significantly lower than those of the control group, and the cardiopulmonary function was significantly lower than that of the control group. The indexes of experimental group II changed significantly compared with experimental group I, and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion: Cigarette smoke can significantly reduce the aerobic exercise ability and anti fatigue ability. The longer the smoking time, the more serious the adverse effects. Therefore, tobacco smoke and nicotine will damage college students’ aerobic exercise ability and have a negative impact on the recovery of physical fitness after exercise.
