Straipsnyje aptartas požiūris į studijų proceso valdymo formavimą remiantis probleminės srities modeliu. Praktiniu modeliavimo metodo pagrindu parinktas M. Porterio vertės grandinės modelis (VGM). Pateiktas apibendrintas žiniomis grįstos veiklos modelis, skirtas studijų procesui valdyti. Struktūruotame VGM bet kuri veiklos valdymo funkcijos Fi ir veiklos proceso Pj pora (Fi x Pj) sumodeliuota kaip valdomas (veiklos) procesas, nes veiklos valdymo funkcija Fi siekia realizuoti konkrečius veiklos tikslus, nukreipdama (kontroliuodama) veiklos procesą Pj. Studijų proceso valdymo modelis (valdymo požiūriu) susideda iš trijų pagrindinių komponentų, susietų informaciniu grįžtamuoju ryšiu: valdančiosios sistemos, veiklos tikslų ir valdomojo objekto. Straipsnyje patikslinta valdomo proceso principinė schema (formalizuota elementaraus valdymo ciklo struktūra), įvardytas veiklos tikslų (G) poveikis valdančiajai sistemai (VS) ir valdomajam objektui (VO) informacijos transformacijos grįžtamojo ryšiokontūre. Taip pat pateikti iš VGM gauti studijų proceso parametrai: studijų proceso valdymo informacijos transformavimo žingsniai (valdymo taisyklės) ir atributai (duomenys).Study Process Management Based on the Modified Value Chain ModelJurij Tekutov, Saulius Gudas, Vitalijus Denisovas SummaryThe paper deals with the problem of studying the process management related to a particular problem. The presented approach uses the modified value chain model (VCM) to describe the formation procedure of the problem domain knowledge. The major components of the modified VCM (domain knowledge) are management functions and information flows related by the control loop to the processes in the problem domain. The formal description of information transformations of a particular management function is defined as the elementary management cycle (EMC). The concept of EMC is a formalized description of the enterprise management control as the interaction between the function and process, i.e. as two core components of enterprise from the control point of view. The modified VCM-based framework for the management of the study process has been developed and discussed.>

The hierarchical Detailed Value Chain Model and the Elementary Management Cycle model of educational domain knowledge content updating are formally described in this paper, wherein computerized process measures are also proposed. The paper provides a method for updating the knowledge of the analyzed domain, referred to as the “enterprise domain,” based on enterprise modelling in terms of management information interactions. A method was designed, the formal DVCM and EMC descriptions of which are provided in the BPMN notation, allowing to develop a two-level (granular) model for describing the knowledge of educational domain management information interactions. In implementing this model and its algorithms in technological terms, a subsystem of enterprise knowledge has been created in a knowledge-based CASE system (computerized knowledge-based IS engineering), which performs the function of a domain knowledge database.

The article focuses on the application of process management models in industrial enterprises which best enhance their competitiveness and efficiency under the conditions of crisis development, increased risks, and uncertainty. The presented results of the study are based on the expert survey conducted among the heads and managers of Kuzbass machine-building enterprises on process-oriented management for the period 2015-2018. By interviewing 500 respondents – the participants of the conferences, seminars, round table discussions, and trainings held within the framework of various thematic exhibitions and fairs in Kemerovo and Novokuznetsk – the opinions of the managers and the leading experts representing 70% of the enterprises of this industry were analyzed and summarized to specify their perceptions about the organizations’ activities and identify the urgent management problems they face. The article raises the main problems of implementing process management in the companies identified and ranked by the authors in the questionnaire which are as follows: first, non-optimal organizational structure, the need to restructure it and adapt to the process model; second, insufficient staff skills and general knowledge of process management; third, lack of financial resources and high time consumption; fourth, unclaimed processes, weak linkages to performance and the need to reduce excessive vertical interactions in their implementation. The possibilities to improve management in machine-building enterprises are considered from the point of view of process management. Risk-forming factors have been identified and optimal methods of risk management have been justified to ensure the efficiency of business structures in the field of production, and mechanical engineering. Conclusions have been drawn on the possibility of applying such an approach in almost any organization under the conditions of standard management, as well as the need to create up-to-date methods of process management with the specifics of machine-building enterprises, to adapt modern software to the conditions of digital economy, and to improve the skills and retraining of the managers.

This study aims to examine changes in enterprise management during the COVID-19 pandemic and develop a universal mechanism for managing digital transformation. Its methodological basis is represented by a terminological analysis of the concepts of automation, digitalisation and digital transformation. Their close consideration enables us to form a conceptual scheme of business digitalisation. In sum, the study process shows that full-fledged and fruitful digital transformation can be achieved through restructuring a company’s business process management system. By comparing the outcomes of using digital platform-based business models, the most promising one was selected for use. Its practical application was studied in Azerbaijan, Russia, and Switzerland using the Network Readiness Index (NRI). The analysis made it possible to form business development strategies for each country reviewed and to develop a universal mechanism for digital transformation management by means of optimisation and modelling. The findings suggest that in pandemic settings, digital enterprise management concentrates on survival, self-learning and cooperation without intermediaries through innovation and the transformation of business processes. The strategies can be used to adopt digital technologies and attract investment. Further research can be directed at detailing the proposed mechanism.

This world is constantly changing and rapidly moving,-particular in the Industry 4.0 revolution, people must change to follow and keeping with this new trend. Education is the human foundation toward the “Truth - Good - Beautiful”, and comprehensive development of personal competencies as knowledge, skills and behaviors. A nation, such as Vietnam, if they want to integrate into global economy and affirming their position, they will need the “Talented - Virtuous” human resource who could meet the high demand of society. The purpose of this study was to propose a model of competency value chain at individual level for the educational managers, analyzing some factors of this value chain model and how to apply to Vietnamese education system in the fourth Industry era. The authors wanted to focus on the social value added that the educational managers’competency could bring as the result of this research.

An effective climate change action involves the critical role that companies must play in assuring the long-term human and social well-being of future generations. In our study, we offer a more holistic, inclusive, both–and approach to the challenge of environmental innovation (EI) that uses a novel methodology to identify relevant configurations for firms engaging in a superior EI strategy. A conceptual framework is proposed that identifies six sets of driving characteristics of EI and two sets of beneficial outcomes, all inherently tensional. Our analysis utilizes a complementary rather than an oppositional point of view. A data set of 65 companies in the ICT value chain is analyzed via fuzzy-set comparative analysis (fsQCA) and a post-QCA procedure. The results reveal that achieving a superior EI strategy is possible in several scenarios. Specifically, after close examination, two main configuration groups emerge, referred to as technological environmental innovators and organizational environmental innovators.

Modern science and practice does not have a sufficient set of cost management tools, taking into account the duration of the production cycle, characteristic of agricultural activity. The implementation of a cycle-oriented approach to building a model of production costs was based on studying the existing options for classifying production costs, which were supplemented with features from the perspective of managing long production cycles. As a result of the study, a model of production costs was built from the point of view of a cycle-oriented approach, as well as a model of production costs from the standpoint of features of a long production cycle. The model can serve as the basis for the formation of the information space of cost management, control and cost analysis in the economy of agricultural enterprises.
