Conflict-related and disputable situations have been present in our lives since ancient times, when people have become aware of the need to protect their rights and interests, sometimes at odds with the aspirations of others. The conflict that emerges between people disturbs their relationships and poses a threat to the proper functioning of people, bringing with them negative emotions. However, it can be an opportunity for development, be treated as a change in interpersonal relationships and can ultimately produce positive effects. Mediation offers a possibility of converting the negative aspects of the conflict into constructive solutions. Being voluntary, confidential, non-formal, out-of-court proceedings, it enables the parties to come to an agreement, offering them the opportunity to actively participate in shaping the legal and social situation and exercising their rights and interests in the spirit of consensus. In the mediation process, the parties use the support of a professional, impartial, neutral mediator. The authors of the article promote the idea of mediation with full conviction that it is a valuable and effective way for conflicted parties and third parties and their relatives to reach a consensus on various issues, including family matters.

Background: The debranching starch enzymes, isoamylase 1 and 2 are well-conserved enzymes present in almost all the photosynthetic organisms. These enzymes are involved in the crystallization process of starch and are key components which remove misplaced α-1,6 ramifications on the final molecule. Aim: In this work, we performed a functional and structural study of a novel isoamylase from Ostreococcus tauri. Methods: We identified conserved amino acid residues possibly involved in catalysis. We also identified a region at the N-terminal end that resembles a Carbohydrate Binding Domain (CBM), which is more related to the family CBM48, but has no spatial conservation of the residues involved in carbohydrate binding. Results: The cloning, expression and biochemical characterization of this N-terminal region confirmed that it binds to polysaccharides, showing greater capacity for binding to amylopectin rather than total starch or amylose. Conclusion: This module could be a variant of the CBM48 family or it could be classified within a new CBM family.

Drama and theater have probably been the first strong and vibrant mass media of mankind for centuries. Along with the changing times and society, its form and concerns also kept changing. In ancient times, classical theater was royal and folk theater was dictated. In the medieval period, Muslim-Mughal rulers developed and expanded almost all forms of arts. With the change of time and society, the medium of expression and the nature of literature and arts also change. Science made unprecedented progress in the modern period. New inventions took place. The printing press achieved immense success in making literature accessible and as a medium of information communication. Newspapers turned rumors into authentic information and played a very important role in creating a mass movement in our freedom struggle.

Women's history as a relatively new trend in historical studies is being replenished by new researchers and interesting works every year. Women's fate in a war is a separate topic, which has a large number of aspects that require detailed study, new reading and rethinking. Women were forced to go through a trial of occupation and evacuation. One of the most difficult practices for women was the front experience, both in military and in the medical staff. The view on a woman as a resource in a war was inherent in both the Soviet and Nazi totalitarian authorities.Similar experiences and peculiarities of performing non-peculiar roles require additional researches. In the proposed article on the example of the representatives of one family - Rabinovyches, was made an attempt to trace various strategies and practices of life / survival / of women in the war. The role of a woman in evacuation in Soviet realms remained on the verge of official representations of events and commeratural practices, therefore the article examines the survival experience of Raisa Rabinovich. Investigating the experience of being evacuated through his sources of optics can recreate individual episodes of life, from which formed strategies of survival not only of one woman, but a group of people who were unable to solve domestic and other problems without her.The Holocaust trial also fell on Jewish women. The symbol of the Holocaust in Ukraine was Babyn Yar, in its territory almost all Jewish population of Kyiv was shot. In Babyn Yar from the family of Rabinovich nine people of Rabinovich family died - the parents of Leonid Volynsky (Rabinovich) and his aunt Faiga's family. Those remaining among the living, were forced to bear their cross of moral blame before the dead.

There is no society and time epoch in the development of a civilization that was not characterized by violence and aggression. Once upon a time it was justified as a global and desirable characteristic of a society and a state, today, aggression and violence is a phenomenon that should be opposed in all ways. Incriminated in almost all laws of modern states, violent behavior and aggression require a multidisciplinary approach in explanation, etiology, phenomenology, and ways of confrontation. The aim of this paper is to point out the problem of youth violence, which is expanding and which affects all aspects of children's existence, starting with the family, school, social environment and society as a whole. The consequences of violent and aggressive behavior of young people will also be discussed, regardless of whether they are in the role of the perpetrator of a violent crime or a victim, as well as the possibilities and needs of preventive action. We will try to answer several important questions regarding youth violence, such as: are young people more victims of violence or committing acts of violence themselves, what are the main causes of violence among young people and what are the most common forms of youth violence.

The aim of the study was to identify the role fulfilled by family assistants, along with the subject-matter of their tasks, obstacles they encounter, and favourable factors. Professional role was treated as a framework for professional functioning and experiences of the family assistants participating in the study. The presented material originates from five individual, semi-structured in-depth interviews with family assistants. The results of the study revealed that, to some extent, almost all assistants fulfil their own professional roles in a non-standard manner, although the statements they made have a common characteristic: awareness of the importance of trust in their joint work with families. Moreover, family assistants are characterised as experiencing some difficulties that appear to be the combination of various components. The participants verbalise the conviction that they create their professional roles themselves, which are determined, to some extent, also by the families they support, their managers, and social workers.
