Understanding EHRs continuance intention to use from the perspectives of UTAUT: practice environment moderating effect and top management support as predictor variables

Abstract Background With inappropriate use of antimicrobials becoming a great public health concern globally, the issue of applying clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) to regulate the rational use of antimicrobials has attracted increasing attention. Taking tertiary general hospitals in China for example, this study aimed to identify factors to investigate the comprehensive influencing mechanism for physicians’ intention to use CPGs on antimicrobials. Methods Based on the integration of Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), and Technology-Organization-Environment framework (TOE), a questionnaire survey was conducted covering potential determinants of affecting physicians’ intentions to use CPGs on antimicrobials at the individual level (attitude, subjective norms and perceived risk), technical level (relative advantage and ease of use), and organizational level (top management support and organizational implementation). Data were collected from 644 physicians in tertiary general hospitals in eastern, central and western China, which were obtained by multi-stage random sampling. The structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to link three-level factors with physicians’ behavioral intentions. Results The majority of the participants (94.57%) showed a positive tendency toward intention to use CPGs on antimicrobials. The reliability and validity analysis showed the questionnaire developed from the theoretical model was acceptable. SEM results revealed physicians’ intentions to use CPGs on antimicrobials was associated with attitude (β = 0.166, p < 0.05), subjective norms (β = 0.244, p < 0.05), perceived risk (β = − 0.113, p < 0.05), relative advantage (β = 0.307, p < 0.01), top management support (β = 0.200, p < 0.05) and organizational implementation (β = 0.176, p < 0.05). Besides, subjective norms, perceived risk, relative advantage, ease of use, and top management support showed their mediating effects from large to small on the intentions, which were 0.215, 0.140, 0.103, 0.088, − 0.020, respectively. Conclusions This study revealed the significance of multifaceted factors to enhance the intention to use CPGs on antimicrobials. These findings will not only contribute to the development of targeted intervention strategies on promoting the use of CPGs on antimicrobials, but also provide insights for future studies about physicians’ adoption behaviors on certain health services or products.

Purpose This study aims to examine the relationship between intrinsic motivation and online knowledge sharing intentions (KSIs) and the moderating effect of extrinsic motivation and organisational culture on this relationship. The influence of online KSI on two dimensions of online knowledge sharing behaviour, knowledge donating and knowledge collecting, was also investigated. Design/methodology/approach Based on the extensive literature review, a questionnaire was designed. In total, 290 questionnaires from employees in Vietnamese companies in the banking and insurance industry were collected and tested using structural equation modelling. Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS and PLS 3 software to examine the research hypotheses. Findings This study found that rewards and reciprocity undermined the influence of self-enjoyment on online KSI, while top management support and social interaction ties undermined the relationship between self-efficacy and online KSI. Top management support positively moderated the effect of self-enjoyment on online KSI. The results also suggested that online KSI was a good predictor of online knowledge donating and collecting. Originality/value Little is empirically known about the moderating effect of extrinsic motivation and organizational culture on intrinsic motivation. The study brings new insights to further understand about online knowledge sharing in an organisation.

CRM adoption can provide innumerable benefits to the SMEs performance, including solving customer problems in a timely manner, enhancing customer satisfaction by appointing an expert to solve issues and queries, and the like. This study aims to examine the moderating effects of the firm size in the adoption of CRM in the Palestinian SMEs. A quantitative approach was used to investigate the relationships between the variables, which are compatibility, IT infrastructure, complexity, relative advantage, security, top management support, customer pressure, and competitive pressure. A questionnaire was designed to collect data from 420 SMEs in Palestine. A total of 331 respondents completed and returned the survey. The Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) approach was used to assess both the measurement and structural models. The Diffusion of Innovation Theory (DOI) and Technology, Organization, and Environment Framework (TOE) framework were employed to identify the determinant factors from the technological, organizational, and environmental perspectives. The findings and conclusions of this study provide show that the moderating effect of firm size has significant effect compatibility, top management support, customer pressure, and IT infrastructure factors.

[Id]Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor penentu adopsi cloud computing di rumah sakit Muhammadiyah di Jawa Timur dengan menggunakan Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). ?Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 29 sampel rumah sakit dengan alat analisis yang digunakan untuk membangun model adalah: perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, security effectiveness, reliabilty, needs, cost effectiveness, top management support, complexity, behavioral intention to use dan actual usage. ?Evaluasi goodness of fit dan resampling bootstraping digunakan untuk menganalisis kelayakan model. Evaluasi goodness of fit model struktural diukur menggunakan nilai predictive-relevance diperoleh nilai sebesar = 0,95 yang artinya model memiliki nilai prediktif yang sangat baik. Hasil olah data diperoleh dengan menggunakan resampling bootstraping dengan menghitung hubungan antar variabel memiliki nilai t- hitung yang lebih besar = 2.01 dalam adopsi cloud computing di rumah sakit Muhammadiyah di Jawa Timur. Hasil analisis data diperoleh enam variable mempunyai pengaruh positif dan signifikan dalam adopsi cloud computing, yaitu: Perceived usefulness, Perceived ease of use, complexity, needs, top management support dan behavioral intention to use. The sample used in this study is 29 samples hospital with an analysis tool used to build the model are: perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, security effectiveness, reliabilty, needs, cost effectiveness, top management support, complexity, behavioral intention to use and actual usage. Evaluation of the goodness of fit and bootstrapping resampling is used to analyze the feasibility of this model. Evaluation of the goodness of fit of the structural model is measured using a predictive value-relevance obtained a value of = 0.95 which means that the model has predictive value was very good. Results if the data is obtained using bootstrapping resampling by calculating the relationship between variables have the value t count bigger = 2.01 in the adoption of cloud computing in the Muhammadiyah hospital in East Java. Results of data analysis obtained six variables have positive and significant influence in the adoption of cloud computing, namely: Perceived usefulness, Perceived ease of use, complexity, needs, top management support and behavioral intention to use. The use of Accounting Information System (AIS) is very helpful in accommodating all the information needed to make an accurate decision. Indicators in determining the good and bad performance of an information system can be seen through AIS user satisfaction and usage. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of top management support, system quality and information quality on AIS user satisfaction. The sample selection method used was purposive sampling. The research sample was 147 people consisting of administrators, loan officers and savings at 29 Lembaga Perkreditan Desa (LPD) in Ubud Subdistrict. The data in this study is primary data which is the answer from the questionnaire. The regression results show that all variables have a significance of 0,000. It shows that top management support, system quality and information quality have positive influences on Accounting Information System user satisfaction.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems have become vital strategic tools in today’s competitive business environment. Implementation of ERP systems is a highly complex process which is influenced not only by technical, but also by other factors. The purpose of this research to find out factors influencing the success of ERP implementations in companies in Jabodetabek. In this research three factors of success implementation ERP were selected on the bases of previous research that includes top management support, project management and user involvement. The results indicate that top management support and project management are key factors affecting the success of ERP implementations, while user involvement does not affect the success of ERP implementations. Top management support, project management and user involvement affect the success rate of 72.7% of ERP implementations. While the rest equal to 27.3% influenced by other variables not included in this research model. Keywords: Enterprise Resource Planning, Top management support, project management, user involvement
