Purpose Top management support (TMS) is considered as a critical factor for the success of information systems (ISs) projects. The literature shows that TMS has a positive impact on achieving success in ISs’ projects in different aspects. However, the enabling factors for TMS in complex ISs’ projects have barely been tested, something which this study aims to rectify. Design/methodology/approach This study has designed a research model based on structural equation modelling (SEM) with the intention of analysing the perception of IS end users regarding the effect on TMS of the following factors: technological complexity and training and organizational communication. The application of the study has focused on an enterprise resource planning–open source software (ERP-OSS) environment. Findings The findings show how end users have a perception that organizational communication and training have a positive relation with TMS. Based on these findings, the authors have suggested several practical considerations. Research limitations/implications There are two limitations to this study. First, this study is based on the perception of complex IS/IT users. It would be interesting to add the perception of top managers to provide more solid findings. The second limitation is that this study has not suggested any additional potential factors which could affect TMS. Practical implications First, this article provides a study of the key role of TMS when an organization needs to implement a complex IS/IT. Second, organizations must develop mechanisms for increasing training and communication relating to the new complex IS/IT projects. Finally, the complexity of an IS/IT project does not constitute an enabling factor incentivizing TMS and should therefore not be a determining factor in increasing TMS within an organization selecting an IS/IT. Originality/value This study contributes to advancing theory in the field of TMS in information systems projects.

This study was conducted to determine the effect of user participation, user ability, and top management support on the performance of accounting information systems through education and training as moderating variables at PT. Megagriya Makmur Hill. This research uses classical assumption test, data quality test, descriptive statistical test, multiple linear regression, Moderated Regression Analysis test, and hypothesis testing. The results of the study show that user participation, user capabilities, top management support, have an effect on the performance of accounting information systems. When moderation occurs, education and training are not able to moderate user participation and top management support on accounting information system performance, while education and training are able to moderate users' ability to accounting information system performance.

ERP implementation is a way to improve competitive advantage, and ERP is one of the factors that affect the company's performance. However, many studies reveal that many companies trying to implement ERP failed although in the end many were successful. To achieve its success, several key factors to be considered include top management support, effective project management, business process reengineering, hardware and software selection, education and training, and vendor support. This study aims to explore the key of successful implementation of ERP in state-owned enterprises in Bandung, Indonesia. Related to state owned enterprises that have failed and succeeded in the implementation of ERP, the effective management project analysis has a significant influence on the success of system implementation while top management support, business process reengineering, hardware and software selection, education and training and vendor support have no effect on the success of ERP implementation. However all variables studied simultaneously have effects on the success of ERP implementation.

The purpose of this research is to test the influences of critical success factors of ERP implementation. The use of variables based on the results of previous research, which directly influences the Top management support, Business Process Reengineering, Effective Project Management and Education and training toward critical success factors of ERP Implementation. The use of these variables can solve the problems in determining appropriate strategies for the successful ERP Implementation. According to Martin (1998) 90% of ERP implementation has been delayed and the success rate is only about 33%. The population used in this research were all ERP users at a packaging company and the sample size is 57 people. Data collection techniques in this research using questionnaires and data analysis technique using Partial Least Square (PLS) which is run with the help of Smart PLS 2.0 M3 software. The analysis showed that Top Management Support and Education and training influence the success of ERP implementation, while the other variables such as Business Process Reengineering and Effective Project Management does not affect the successful implementation of ERP. To increase the success rate of ERP implementation, users on the companies that are or have implemented ERP systems should consider some factors such as Top Management Support and Education and training because these factors shown to affect the success rate of ERP implementation. Keywords : ERP, Implementation, Information Technology and PLS.

The organization factors integral to the successful implementation of ERP systems are identified in this paper, and the organization factors under scrutiny include: Change Management, Business Process Management, and Top Management Support. Survey questionnaires were circulated to ERP users in companies in Jordan, which led to the collection and analysis of 314 responses in total. The results evidence significant relationship between change Management and top management support with ERP implementation success. However, the outcomes did not support the relationship between Business Process Management and ERP implementation success. This study could assist ERP vendors and consultants in developing countries in preparing certain strategies for dealing with the oddity between their ERP products and ERP adopting organizations. Also, both ERP adopting organizations and managers could attain awareness regarding the intricacies that are inherent in ERP installations in order to prevent obstacles while increasing the possibility of attaining the looked-for results.

As a result of increasing competition, organizations have realised the importance of its human capital in bringing about continuous improvement in quality in order to secure increased customer satisfaction and loyalty as well as sustainable development. Strategic approaches frequently, though not always successfully, adopted in a TQM environment include teamwork, management support and training. Hence, this study aims to assess managerial perceptions of the importance of teamwork, continuous top management support and training in bringing about TQM. Biographical influences on these managerial perceptions are also assessed. A sample of 202 managers (middle, senior, top) was drawn using a stratified random sampling technique. Data was collected using a pre-coded, selfdeveloped questionnaire whose psychometric properties were assessed using Factor Analysis and Cronbach’s Coefficient Alpha respectively. Data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings reflect that in this organization, the focus in bringing about total quality management is on continuous top management support, followed by continuous training and learning and lastly, teams and teamwork. These dimensions also significantly inter-correlate with each other. Biographical influences were also noted in terms of position, qualifications and gender. Based on the results, recommendations are presented for enhancing team performance, managerial support and training in efforts to bring about TQM.

This study examines the influence of intra-organizational factors on Accounting Information System (AIS) effectiveness in Nigeria. These are internal organizational capabilities such as the internal control quality, training, and top management support that can significantly affect the success of AIS among the Nigerian Banks. In this study, exploratory research approach was adopted. A self-administered questionnaire was distributed to regional and branch offices of banks in Nigeria. A valid response rate of 48.4% was achieved, and the survey data were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) for the descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling for inferential analysis. The results of the study revealed that internal control quality and training are the most crucial factors in ensuring AIS effectiveness. The result further revealed that top management support is less important for the success of the systems. The findings suggest that banks should pay more attention to the internal control quality and training since they were found to be influencing the effectiveness of the system. Thus, when managers provide all the required in-house resources to support AIS, it would lead to the success of the system and which eventual result to realizing the full potential of their investment.
