The article is a performative interpretation of Sendlerowa. W ukryciu, a biography of Irena Sendlerowa by Anna Bikont. The author of the article presents the biography as a textual performance, whose aim is to contest the well-known image of Irena Sendlerowa (described within the category of biomythography introduced by Michael Benton). The author analyses how Anna Bikont distances herself from the biomythography and reintroduces the parts of Sendlerowa’s biography that had been omitted for years through being incompatible with the role of a national hero. She also evaluates the extent to which biography can serve as a critical tool with respect to Polish historical policy.

This article examines the national role of KH. A. Wahid Hasyim, especially at the beginning of Indonesia's independence. This study is motivated by the scarcity of studies related to the contribution of figures from Islamic boarding schools in national studies, and at the same time the role of this figure is recognized in the form of an award as a national hero. This is library research with analytical descriptive analysis techniques. The research findings showed that at the young age, the national role of KH. A. Wahid Hasyim appears in his efforts to maintain the unity and integrity of Indonesia through his moderate Islamic thinking, neither right nor left extreme. This was proven by his position as one of the independence committees (BPUPKI), and one of his policies was to approve the elimination of seven words in the Jakarta Charter agreement.

The purpose of research. The article deals with the general tendencies of the formation process of a historical figure as a national hero in media space. Winston Churchill’s cinematography imagery is analyzed and the features of interpretation of his role in history are defined. The purpose of research is determination of specificities in the formation process of imagery’s historical figure as national hero in cinematography. Results. Nowadays the way of representing historical space through the media sphere is one of the most popular for auditory and at the same time, it represents the new vision of the historical past. The tendency of connecting historical past and historical figure together drifts the angle from the whole epoch to «historical faces». That's the reason why historical epochs are translated through imagery of figures from the past. In this case historical space is gradually tapered to the person’s story and becomes more individual.

This paper examines the dynamic boundaries of Chinese identities and the role of family narratives in their formation. It examines the interplay between history and memory, focusing on traditions regarding ancestors of the Fujian Guo lineage of Muslim descent in China, Taiwan and the Philippines, over six centuries. Existing scholarship approaches these traditions in ethnic terms, corresponding to the ethnic discourse prevalent in the P.R.C., focusing solely on mainland groups, but overlooking other variations found overseas. Hence, scholars portray the changing narratives as reflecting a linear process: from past sinicisation, to today’s more “historically authentic” Hui identity. The present analysis offers a broader socio-cultural overview, showing how the pan-Asian Guo lineage re-imagines familial history across time and space by highlighting the forced assimilation narrative in which their early Ming ancestors falsely adopted Guo Ziyi, a Han-Chinese national hero, as their ancestor. The paper follows the narrative’s continuous transformations, analysing different interpretations of assuming Chinese identity among Muslims’ descendants within different contexts of contemporary Asia.

This study aims to determine the differences in the character development of children's leadership through the method of playing the role of national hero characters. This type of research is a quasi-experimental (quasi experiment) study design with a non-equivalent group design. The population in this study were all children of group B1 and B2 Putra Budaya Denpasar Timur in the 2018/2019 Academic Year. Sampling is done by random sampling. The pre-test results data were analyzed to test the equality of the groups so that they got two classes namely B1 Putra Budaya Denpasar TK as the experimental group and B2 TK Putra Budaya Denpasar as the control group. At the end of the study the experimental and control groups were given a post-test of children's leadership character development using the observation research rubric. The post-test results data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics using the t-test. Based on the results obtained t count = 7.590 and t table = 2,000 (at the 5% significance level with dk = 46). Because tcount 7.590> ttable 2,000, there is a significant difference between the development of the character of child leadership through the method of playing the role of national hero figures with the development of leadership characters of national hero characters with groups of children who are taught through learning as usual. The average development of leadership characters obtained between the experimental groups is higher than the control group (76.48> 65.13). Then it can be concluded that the method of playing the role of national hero influences the development of leadership characters in Putra Budaya Denpasar East B1 children 2018/2019 Academic Year.keyword : Method of role playing, character, leadership

The paper analyses some texts by the American author Ronald Sukenick (particularly the 1969 short story ‘The Death of the Novel’, included in a collection by the same name) and links them to some recent works by Mark Amerika in order to show the way experimental writing can be conveniently used as a means to investigate the nature and role of literature in critical transition periods. Sukenick started to write in the sixties, at a time in which a prevailing feeling of the novel's exhaustion dominated, and experimented a new kind of non-mimetic, experiential writing – literature performed as an extemporaneous event and an embodied experience – that Amerika was to foreground later, in the period in which literature was being ferried to the digital world. The two authors (and both professors), who also collaborated on some projects, seem to share the same penchant for an acrobatic (con)fusion of storytelling and theoretical and critical analysis, and the result is a textual performance that situates the metacommentary as literary production.
