The article presents the concept of dramatography as being created by “writing drama”. The author treats drama as a fluid concept, historically variable, non-binary compared to theatre, establishing performative relations interwoven with other arts. Dramatography is a response to limitations resulting from the use of the concepts of adaptation, interpretation and intersemiotic translation in the former binary system in drama and theatre. Referring to Hans Ulrich Gumbrecht’s concept of “producing presence”, the author shows the role of manifesting oneself as a counterweight to meaning in the process through which dramatography emerges.

The role of temperature of metakaolin/Portland cement binary system was studied by isothermal calorimetry. Sample with 50 % of metakaolin replacement were monitored at 30 °C, 40 °C, 50 °C and 60 °C. Structural and chemical characterization of hardened pastes was obtained by scanning electron and Raman microscopy. Paper deals with kinetics of main exothermal reactions during early hydration of the system. Activation energies were calculated for processes related to each exothermic peak. The nature of hydration products at different temperatures was revealed by microstructural studies.

ABSTRACTMechanical property degradation due to an ordering phase transformation is a concern for alloys based on the Ni-Cr binary system (e.g., 690, 625), particularly in nuclear power applications, such as stream generator tubing, reactor pressure vessel and head control rod drive mechanism penetrations, where component lifetimes can exceed 40 years. In the present research, the disorder-order phase transformation has been studied in Ni-Cr model alloys with varying stoichiometry by experimental methods. In this paper, the effect of composition on ordering is characterized via X-ray diffraction.

The catalytic activity of the ruthenium(VI) bis-imido porphyrin complex/TBACl binary system in promoting the CO[Formula: see text] cycloaddition to epoxides forming cyclic carbonates is here reported. The system was very efficient in catalyzing the conversion of differently substituted epoxides under mild experimental conditions (100 [Formula: see text]C and 0.6 MPa of CO[Formula: see text]. Even if the sole TBACl resulted active under the optimized experimental conditions, the addition of ruthenium species was fundamental to maximizing the reaction productivity both in terms of epoxide conversions and cyclic carbonate selectivities. A preliminary mechanistic study indicated a positive role of ruthenium imido nitrogen atom in activating carbon dioxide.

AbstractOne of the most extensively used techniques in Drosophila is the Gal4/UAS binary system, which allows tissue-specific misexpression or knockdown of specific genes of interest. The original UAS vector, UASt, can only be activated for transgene expression in somatic tissues and not in the germline cells. Rørth (1998) generated UASp, a modified UAS vector that is responsive to Gal4 in both somatic and germline tissues, by replacing both the hsp70 promoter and the SV40 3’UTR with the P transposase promoter and the K10 3’UTR respectively. At present, the mechanisms by which UASt is silenced in germline cells are not fully understood. Here, we report that the piRNA pathway is involved in suppressing UASt expression in ovarian germline cells. Individually knocking down or mutating components of the piRNA biogenesis pathway (e.g., Piwi, AGO3, Aub, Spn-E, and Vasa) resulted in the expression of the UASt-reporter (GFP or RFP) in the germline. An RNA-seq analysis of small RNAs revealed that the hsp70 promoter of UASt is targeted by piRNAs, and in the aub mutant ovary, the amount of piRNAs targeting the hsp70 promoter is reduced by around 40 folds. In contrast, the SV40 3’UTR of the UASt, which happens to be targeted by the Nonsense-mediated RNA decay (NMD) pathway, is not responsible for germline UASt suppression, as UASt-reporters with NMD-insensitive 3’UTRs fail to show germline expression. Taken together, our studies reveal a crucial role of the piRNA pathway, potentially via the suppression of the hsp70 promoter, in germline UASt silencing in Drosophila ovaries.

Abstract The role of the thioamines as retardera in the vulcanization of NR accelerated by the binary system comprising thiocarbamyl sulfenamide and MBTS has been investigated. Several thioamines, namely, cyclohexyl thiomorpholine (CM), cyclohexyl thiopiperidine (CP), cyclohexyl thiodibutylamine (CDBA), cyclohexyl thiodiphenylamine (CDPA), cyclohexyl thiodiisopropyl amine (CDIPA), dicyclohexyl dithiopiperazine (DCDPz), cyclohexyl thiodiethylamine (CDEA), and cyclohexyl thiodibenzopyrrole (CDBP) had been selected for the study. It has been observed that these thioamines provide better cure retardation than CTP and almost in all the cases, cure rates and torque values of the resulting vulcanizates are increased. It is further noticed that the vulcanizates obtained from the stocks containing CDEA, CDBP, and CDPA exhibit notably more heat and age resistance than those obtained from CTP. Some hplc studies were made to understand cure activation. MBT and N-oxydiethylenethiocarbamyl benzothiazole disulfide (OTBD) seem to activate cure, especially in the presence of thioamines. Antioxidants like di-β-napthyl-p-phenylenediamine (DNPD) and N-phenyl-N-sopropyl-p-phenylenediamine (PIPPD), when present in the respective stocks, further enhance both heat and age resistance properties of the resulting vulcanizates.

The influence of magnetic interactions on high temperature thermodynamic stability of Fe-Cr binary system has been analysed in the light of accurate isothermal calorimetry measurements (400-1473 K) on Fe-20wt.%Cr alloy. The onset of two successive principal transformations namely, (i) α(Fe-rich bcc)+α(Cr rich bcc)α(HT bcc) at 702±10 K; and (ii) αferroαpara at 925 ±10 K, with their associated enthalpy effects (ΔoHmag = 2 kJ mol -1; Cpmag = 20 J mol-1 K-1) have been clearly delineated by the measured enthalpy variation with temperature. A precise quantification of magnetic contribution to high temperature thermodynamic stability has been attempted using physically based modelling approach.
