The article considers the possibility of using social networks in the process of learning, identifies the advantages and disadvantages of their application in the educational process, analyzes the real state of student registration in social networks, the frequency of their communication with social networking means, determines the number of social networks in which students are registered, priority devices for work with social services, popularity of social networks among students of the Vinnitsa State Pedagogical University named after Mikhail Kotsyubinsky, and also, the proportion of students using social networking with the educational purpose whom teachers offered to use social networks to support the learning process and the proportion of students who are proposing to introduce social networks into the learning process has been established. The analysis of the obtained data makes it possible to determine the level of activity of students and teachers in the issue of the introduction of social networks and mobile devices in the process of knowledge acquisition and skills development by modern applicants of higher education, and also indicates the level of youth activity in the issue of reforming educational technologies, the introduction of modern methods of organizing the educational process and his support. The results of the study underline the active attitude of young people to the reform of higher education, but prove that the students themselves are not always willing to actively engage in educational initiatives, some of them prefer passive communication and photo viewing. Based on the data obtained from the questionnaire, it can be concluded that social networks are not used for educational purposes systematically. Students, for the most part, consider social networks as an opportunity to seek information, that is, as a peculiar search engine. Only one per cent of respondents consider social networks as an opportunity to create an educational community for communication with like-minded people.

The article raises the problem of search for new ways to develop musical pedagogical direction in modern conditions of higher education reformation. Based on his own experience and opinions of respected researchers, the author concludes about its crisis. Subsequent changes in higher education against the background of informatization and globalization can regarded as a series of formal procedures that regulate the relations of participants in the educational process, that is, as a process of formalization. The author considers the concept of “formalization”, shows the options for its use in modern science and practice, special attention is paid to issues of formalization in the field of humanitarian knowledge. Formalization as a way of knowing the surrounding reality and as mechanisms of perception and archiving social information has always existed. A striking example of this is the emergence and development of the art of music. Formalization occupies a special place in the culture of modern society, as it serves as a mechanism for limiting high information pressure. The general computerization observed today in society, as well as the tendency to create algorithms and technologies in all areas of knowledge, inevitably affect the organization system of the learning process in higher education institutions. As a result – the emergence of some formalized pedagogical systems, such as score-rating system of evaluation of the results of training of students. The musical pedagogical direction, which differs from all other areas of higher education primarily its focus on musical art, is most difficult to follow new trends. However, according to the author, it is precisely the understanding of what is happening, as well as a look at formalization from a position of creation that will help to find new opportunities for the development of musical and pedagogical education.

Research Question (RQ): What challenges did students recognize in the sudden transition to e-learning due to the outbreak of COVID-19? Which suggestions facilitated in the improvement of implementing e-learning and to what extent did the students think that following their recommendations contributed to better e-learning? Purpose: With the research, we wanted to determine what challenges students at higher vocational schools perceived during the e-learning process. Due to the sudden appearance of COVID-19, the educational approach swiftly changed, and both teachers and students were faced with many challenges. Method: Content analysis was used on domestic and international research studies. The literature was reviewed and analyzed using keywords. For the empirical research, we collected data by surveying students from the southeastern part of Slovenia in seven different short cycle higher education programs. The questionnaire was designed based on self-evaluation reports and previously analyzed professional literature dealing with this area. Results: Results are depicted based on the challenges that students faced in the sudden onset of e-learning due to the pandemic. By following recommendations provided by students, teachers were able to improve their e-learning approach, in which everyone was involved, and thus facilitated the learning process. Organization: The results of the research enable schools to implement the identified challenges that students perceived during the educational process to improve e-learning. The research findings portray a possible answer on what needs to be improved in e-learning and how to adapt approaches in a way that is tailored to the student. Society: Recognizing students’ e-learning challenges is the foundation for improving the entire e-learning process, which contributes to better achievement of educational goals and greater contribution of knowledge to society. Originality: Several studies on e-learning have already been conducted, but we have not found any that address the challenges posed by short cycle higher education students in the face of the immediate and unexpected introduction of e-learning due to the global health situation. Limitations/Future Research: We have limited ourselves to research that has already been conducted in this area. The resulting questionnaire was created as a pilot survey on a larger sample to determine reliability and to obtain a starting point for implementing improvements in practice and the possibility of further testing on an even larger number of students. The research also offers a starting point for the preparation of a questionnaire intended for higher education teachers who already have conducted e-learning.

The article analyzes the phenomenon of spirituality in higher education pedagogy and highlights the results of introducing spiritual-oriented pedagogy into the educational process in foreign institutions. Spirituality has a huge impact on inner self-knowledge, because by studying oneself, one can open from different sides. The task of spiritual pedagogy is undoubtedly the analysis of the students' internal state. After trying out a course of spiritual-oriented pedagogy, some students have become the target of spiritual instruction, have noted that no dramatic changes have occurred in their lives. Other students, on the other hand, were surprised by the number of changes that began to manifest after the introduction of spiritual pedagogy. They emphasized that they have increased the ability to focus during lectures, have the patience and peace of mind for dealing with stressful situations and people, such as listening, speaking, reading and writing have become integral and enjoy the learning process, ecology and the environment became an important issue in the range of environmental problems, and the most important thing was that the brain began to filter thoughts and abstract from «empty» and useless ideas. Students noted that they could not get full access to their own creative ideas in the course of spiritual pedagogy, and after meditations it became possible. Spiritual pedagogy has become a unique valuable experience for most of them, as it has enabled them not only to acquire knowledge but also to acquire wisdom. The students described the learning process as «freeing the mind from captivity», as an opportunity to feel a greater sense of interest in learning, because the «static» course, in their mind, impeded the full absorption of the material. The course of spiritual pedagogy has become, for many, the most important "panacea" for internal problems. Students began to learn, that led to an incredible result: concentration of attention through practice to activate mindfulness, the ability to be patient, the ability to get rid of wrong thoughts, to get rid of stereotypes and conventional but not completely important canons. Therefore, spiritual pedagogical theory in the Western world has attracted the attention of educators and researchers. This theory seeks to realize values that arose from religion and culture in pedagogical practice in educational institutions. Knowledge becomes clearer, and the motivation and control of teachers in their work emerges in a new sense. Not only teachers work to fulfill their duties or team responsibilities, they also work to achieve something more valuable, noble and useful than just material or worldly goals.

Purpose: the purpose of this article is to study the challenges of higher education in the digitalization of the economy and ways to overcome them. Achieving the goal is provided by identifying the system attributes of the digital economy, the gaps between the needs of the digital economy and the possibilities of providing them with the current education system, the problems that arise and the possible directions for solving them in connection with the tasks of innovative development of Russia. Methods: the study is based on a systematic approach, including a functional-structural method, multi-level and hierarchical in combination with the historical-dialectical method. These methods make possible to identify the occurrence of qualitative transformations of the system from reaching quantitative boundaries, a change in the main opposing forces and the nature of their interaction in the system, the direction of negation of the previous stage of the system and the fundamental characteristic of its new state. The combination of these approaches predetermined the choice of specific research methods: phenomenological, comparative, inductive. Results: the fundamental difference between the digital economy as the fifth technological paradigm and all previous ones have been formulated in the context of biological and socio-cultural evolution. The connections of digitalization with innovative development, technological and social singularity were shown. The system challenge of digital economy to the education, that includes the functional-structural, psychological, pedagogical and institutional ones, has been revealed and disclosed. Directions of interdisciplinary research are proposed that allow answering these challenges, as well as some methodological innovations that allow to accelerate and to increase the efficiency of the learning process, in particular, programmable learning applications that self-adjust using individual dynamic cognitive profiles of students formed in the learning process. Conclusions and Relevance: the functional and structural challenge to the education system creates significantly complicated requirements for the qualitative characteristics of human capital. They are manifested in an increase in the volume of relevant competencies and the speed of their obsolescence, shift of emphasis from standard unidisciplinary to inter- and multidisciplinary problem tasks, in new relations between the depth of professional knowledge and the breadth of general cultural orientation. The incomplete readiness of cognitive psychology and pedagogy to bridge the gap between the explosive growth in the volume of relevant knowledge and the limited speed of its development forms the content of the psychological and pedagogical challenge, and the organizational and economic disconnection of education and business exacerbates the challenge with the institutional component. An adequate response to challenges is possible through the own efforts of the educational system to individualize the learning process using artificial intelligence systems, focused on maximizing the cognitive and psychological characteristics of the student. An interdisciplinary search for safe borders, technical means and psychological tools to intensify the educational process, which allow us to give a worthy answer to these challenges. This direction can become the basis of an interdisciplinary discussion about the ways in which society responds to the challenges of digitalization, as well as for applied pedagogical developments.
