This study attempts to examine the corporate social responsibility (CSR) program of PT. Pertamina (Persero) Fuel Terminal Rewulu which is based on a community empowerment program that has been running in several areas around the company, one of which is located in Dusun Gamol. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research approach. Data is collected through interviews, search for written documents, observations, and data analysis. This paper looks at the process and impact of empowerment that occurs in the region. I finds that empowerment here is an activity that aims to increase the ability in terms of processing the results of the etawa goat farm into milk powder products that are of sale value. With the help of the company it is hoped that the community can carry out more productive activities in managing goat's milk. The results showed that the empowerment in this hamlet went through several stages, as well as the program pioneered by corporate has a positive impact. The impact on mothers is mainly in increasing their skills and knowledge in goat milk production and being able to increase the income of group members.Studi ini berupaya mengkaji tentang program corporate social responsibility (CSR) PT. Pertamina (Persero) Fuel Terminal Rewulu yang berbasis program pemberdayaan masyarakat yang sudah berjalan di beberapa wilayah di sekitar perusahaan, salah satunya berada di Dusun Gamol. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, penelurusan dokumen tertulis, observasi, dan analisis data. Tulisan ini melihat bagaimana proses dan hasil dari pemberdayaan yang terjadi di wilayah tersebut. Saya menemukan bahwa pemberdayaan disini merupakan kegiatan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dalam hal mengolah hasil dari peternakan kambing etawa menjadi produk susu bubuk yang bernilai jual. Dengan adanya bantuan dari pihak perusahaan diharapkan masyarakat dapat melaksanakan kegiatan yang lebih produktif dalam mengelola susu kambing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberdayaan di dusun ini melalui beberapa tahap, serta program yang dipelopori oleh perusahaan  memiliki dampak positif. Dampak bagi ibu-ibu terutama dalam meningkatkan skill dan pengetahuan dalam produksi susu kambing serta mampu meningkatkan pendapatan anggota kelompok.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to focus on the impact of corporate social responsibility (CSR) on dividend policy in the French context. In addition, the authors seek to determine if the individual components of CSR influence dividend policy. Design/methodology/approach This study uses panel data methodology for a sample of French non-financial firms between 2008 and 2018. Generalized least squares method is used to estimate the models. Findings Using panel data methodology for a sample of 825 observations for the period 2008–2018, this study finds a positive impact of CSR practices on dividend policy. The authors also find that individual components of CSR positively influence dividend policy. To check the robustness of the results, this study further runs a sensitivity tests, including an alternative measure of dividend policy, all of which confirm the findings. Practical implications This study has examined the impact of CSR on dividend policy in France and may have implications for regulatory, investors, analysts and academics. First, the involvement in CSR best practices encourages companies to pay more dividends to investors. Therefore, investors are more motivated to invest in socially responsible firms than socially irresponsible firms. Second, given the association of CSR with the quality of accounting information and financial markets, regulators should step up recommendations relating to the different societal dimensions of CSR. Originality/value While little previous work has focused on the causal link between CSR and dividend policy, this research is the first, to the authors’ knowledge, to have looked at the impact of CSR on dividend policy in France.

The paper presents the results of the study of the manifestations, trends of business social responsibility during the pandemic and gives the dominant directions of its practical implementation. The paper provides the results of the analysis of the evolutionary development of views and approaches to theoretical and conceptual understanding of corporate social responsibility. The impact of business social responsibility on the results of its activities and the quality of relationships with stakeholders is revealed. A study was also conducted on the transformation of directions and tools for the practical implementation of CSR initiatives before and during the spread of the pandemic. Potential directions for establishing a constructive conversation business structure with society, which will have a positive impact on the success and stability of the business, as well as on social development in the current environment have been identified. A study was carried out to evaluate the perception of the social responsibility by domestic business organizations and awareness of its trends, and the need for its implementation and advantages. A comparative analysis of the development of corporate social responsibility in the world and in Ukraine has been conducted. Trends and mechanisms that have a transformational impact on the formation and implementation of CSR in modern conditions of development are identified. The priority vectors of CSR programs of international business entities in the face of a pandemic are outlined. The necessity of developing a business process management model based on corporate and social responsibility tools has been formulated, taking into account the desire of business to conduct successful activities in a highly dynamic global environment.

This paper selected 119 listed companies from 2008 to 2018 in mainland China as samples, aiming to further explore the different impacts of environmental corporate social responsibility (ECSR) on corporate performance in the long and short term, and explore the mediating role of corporate green marketing performance. The results show that CSR has a significant impact on the return on assets and enterprise value in the short term. In the long-term, the adoption of green marketing innovation has a positive impact on enterprise performance. In general, the results of this paper are of great significance for managers and external investors to implement decisions. In addition, the research results can help enterprises improve their environmental responsibility and green innovation in order to improve their competitiveness.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become an integral part of firms’ strategies in their effort to increase their positive impact on society. This study investigates the impact of a CSR initiative, known as “The LAB Project”, implemented by the TITAN– Sharrcem Company, on the rural community of Hani I Elezit in Kosovo. The LAB project aims to support the establishment and operation of agricultural and food-related start-ups and, most importantly, to ensure their sustainability. The sample of the study consists of 174 area residents. This research examines local residents’ perceptions about a) the TITAN-Sharrcem operations in the area, b) the LAB project’s main contribution to the local community,  c) the project’s overall performance, d)  the profitability of the start-ups created by the project, and e)  the project’s effect on the community’s quality of life. Overall, the results reveal that the project has set the foundation for the community’s sustainable development. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first research on the effect of such initiatives in the region. We investigate the impact of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and corporate governance on stock price crash risk in manufacturing sector of India and Pakistan. We collect data of nine years from 2010 to 2018 from DataStream of 353 manufacturing firms. We apply the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) to the analysis of the data. We find that when firms actively engage in CSR activities, they lead to reduced stock price crash risk. We further find that managerial ownership has a significant positive impact on stock price crash risk, while board size and CEO duality show a significant and negative impact on stock price crash risk.

Business enterprises are traditionally known as engines for driving the economic performance of an entity, its success being measured in terms of high returns on equity and its contribution to the development of the society. The business enterprises get everything from the society for its survival and it is the obligation of the enterprise to return positive attitudes towards the society. If it fails to meet the expectations of the society, the society will punish the firm through their purchase behavior. Hence, the success of any business enterprise depends mainly on the ethical behavior of the enterprise towards the society. The Indian Government has made mandatory the CSR provisions and almost all the companies are actively engage in CSR activities. Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMGCs) are the fastest growing industry in India and numbers of FMCGs companies are doing different CSR practices. Hence, it is essential to study about the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility practices on consumer behavior with reference to FMCGs in Tamil Nadu. For this, 600 responses were collected from selected corporations in TamilNadu by a structured questionnaire. Convenience sampling technique has been adopted to collect the primary data. The study concluded that there has been a positive impact among the consumers as the consumers in Tamil Nadu considered CSR in their purchase evaluation criteria, and they give much importance to CSR related products etc.

The authors study the impact of institutional corporate social responsibility (CSR)—defined as CSR targeted at a borrowing firm’s secondary stakeholders—on bank loans. Findings suggest that higher levels of institutional CSR are associated with lower levels of interest rates and loan spreads. In addition, institutional CSR also tempers the positive impact of loan maturity and firm leverage on interest rates and loan spread. These effects were strongest among firms that demonstrated sustained performance, rather than among firms that showed mixed performance in terms of their secondary stakeholder-related activities. This study indicates institutional CSR is valued by stakeholders for its risk mitigating and transaction cost reducing effects independent of technical CSR, defined as CSR targeted at primary stakeholders.

This research aims to analyze the supporting & barrier factors of the implementation of corporate social responsibility program of PT. PP London Sumatra Indonesia, Tbk in helping the lives of the people around Bagerpang Plantation, Deli Serdang Regency - North Sumatra Province. Research methods are carried out with a qualitative approach using data collection techniques through interviews and field observations. The informants in this study consisted of CSR program recipients, corporate management who handle CSR departments and local village government apparatus. The research site covers Bagerpang estate which consists of 7 divisions / villages in 3 sub-districts namely Galang, Bangun Purba and STM Hilir. The results showed that PT. PP London Sumatra Indonesia, Tbk as a private company in the field of agro industry participated in assisting the government in development through the implementation of CSR programs as a form of social responsibility to the community and the environment for the impact sparked by its operational activities. PT. PT. PP London Sumatra Indonesia, Tbk has implemented CSR practices in several areas of work, namely education, health, infrastructure maintenance, social and religious and populist economic efforts. Researcher also introduced several supporting and barrier factors of the success and effectiveness of CSR implementation. The conclusion of this research is that the company is still focusing its CSR implementation goals and objectives on improving the quality of life of employees and their families not yet on the level of community empowerment._________________________________________________________________________


The echo of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is often heard in the contemporary business management since the last four decades. CSR continuously getting attention due to the ever changing business landscape. As CSR marks its notion of importance in the business context, its roles, and values among academicians who are entrusted to educate the future generation remains ambiguous. Current research aims to look into the impact of perceived roles of ethics and social responsibility (PRESOR) and Internal CSR on the Employee Engagement among academicians in the education setting. Judgemental sampling method is used to locate the targeted respondents and data collected is analysed using Partial Least Squares Equation Modeling. The results reveal that PRESOR has a positive impact on Internal CSR. Internal CSR has no significant impact on Employee Engagement among academicians and its’ indirect effect between PRESOR and Employee Engagement is also found to be insignificant. The findings contribute by providing some insights on the role of ethics and social responsibility among academicians in the education sector. Education institutions may wish to look into other means to increase academicians’ employee engagement instead of ethics and social responsibility.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis program Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) PT. Holcim Indonesia Tbk serta dampak dari program tersebut terhadap masyarakat lokal di Kabupaten Cilacap. Sebagai perusahaan yang kerap menjadi badan usaha terbesar di lingkungannya, Holcim sadar akan tanggung jawabnya terhadap masyarakat. CSR adalah bentuk regulasi diri sebuah perusahaan yang diintegrasikan dalam model bisnis. Salah satu kegiatan CSR Holcim adalah pemberdayaan masyarakat di wilayah salah satu plant Holcim yaitu Kabupaten Cilacap. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam melakukan analisis adalah melalui studi literatur, wawancara, observasi, kuesioner, dan Focus Group Discussion dengan para pengurus, kader, dan anggota masyarakat. Sedangkan responden yang menjadi sampel penelitian adalah 25 posdaya yang berdiri sebelum program CSR PT Holcim Indonesia Tbk dengan jumlah responden 111 orang, dan 11 posdaya yang merupakan bentukan PT Holcim Indonesia Tbk dengan jumlah responden 37 orang. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis kuadran. Berdasarkan analisis dari variabel yang telah diamati, hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa jenis program CSR yang dilakukan PT. Holcim Indonesia Tbk terhadap masyarakat Kabupaten Cilacap adalah berupa gerakan pemberdayaan masyarakat dan desa dalam bentuk Posdaya. Program ini berdampak pada terjadinya perbaikan dalam hal kepengurusan Posdaya serta kemandirian ekonomi masyarakat. Selain itu PT. Holcim Indonesia, Tbk melakukan pendampingan secara berkelanjutan serta evaluasi terhadap kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan. As one of the largest business entity in its environment, PT Holcim,Tbk aware of its responsibility towards the society. CSR is done by PT Holcim, tbk, as a form of self-regulation that is integrated in their business model. One of their CSR is done by empowering community in the region. This research is conducted in one of the Holcim plant in Cilacap district. The analytical methods used in this research are: studying the related literature, interviews, observations, questionnaires, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with the Executive Board, cadres, and community members of Posdaya. The research sample are 25 Posdaya that are established before PT Holcim Indonesia CSR program Tbk directed to the society with the total number of respondents are 111 people, and 11 Posdaya which were formed by PT Holcim Indonesia Tbk, with the total number of respondents are37 people.The data gathered then analyzed using descriptive analysis and quadrant analysis.The result of this research shows that the type of CSR programs done by PT. Holcim Indonesia Tbk. on Kabupaten Cilacap society are: The type of CSR done in the form of community empowerment movement that called as Posdaya. The program done by PT Holcim Tbk has an impact on the improvement of the managerial skills of the Posdaya organizing comitee, and the empowerment program is also improving the economic independence of the member of Posdaya as well as the district community. In addition, PT. Holcim Indonesia Tbk provides guidance on an ongoing basis to the Posdaya management and provides evaluations on the activities carried out by Posdaya.
