Historically, boarding schools (pesantren) since its inception has never silent in face of religious social problems. Activities pesantren in response to global problems has been demonstrated since the early days of glory. Involvement of schools in globalized world has been proved by historical facts are not possible to be denied. Pesantren with various elements of education has been able to develop character education to be maximal. This is reflected in planting of theoretical value obtained from studies book in form of real practices in daily life. Habit can form a good character to students, and process naturally without forced. Success of schools in shaping character invites many other institutions to emulate design of schools, ie educational boarding. Many education experts believe that concept of a boarding education such as that implemented by schools actually capable of shaping students’ character.

The title of this paper is The character education of early childhood and elementery school age children in Japan. The main goal of this research is to know how to apply   the character education of early childhood and elementery school age children in Japan. This research is the combination between liblary reaserach and field research. The step method used in this research is observation, interview, clasification, analysis, interpretasion and description. From the result of this paper in general can be describe there are uniqueness and  differences from the application of character education of early childhood and elementery school age children in Japan. But there are similarities that both are very concerned with moral education and personality. Moral education and personality is not taught trough special subject but is applied in daily life.

Character education is very important to be implemented in daily life. This is because of the problems which occur in this country. The character of the young generation is at a very critical point. The morality of this country is out of norms, ethics, religion and modest culture. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the local wisdom-based value education model in the Sundanese Wiwitan community to improve the students’ character in SMAN 1 Kawali Ciamis, Indonesia. This research was conducted using the R&D (Research and Development) The steps of the R&D research method are (a) potential and problems, (b) data collection, (c) product design, (d) design validation, (e) design usage, (f) trial use, (g) product revision, (h) trial run, (i) product revision, (j) mass product manufacturing. The results showed that by using the local wisdom-based value education model in Sunda Wiwitan community in Susuru sub village, Kertajaya Village, Panawangan, was very effective and feasible to be applied through integration in historical learning so that the students were able to have the following character values: religious, social, mutual cooperation, tolerance, and care for the environment to be implemented in school, family, and community life.Keywords: Value Education, Local Wisdom, Sunda Wiwitan, CharacterABSTRAKPendidikan karakter sangat penting untuk diimplementasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, hal ini karena adanya problem yang menimpa bangsa ini. Karakter generasi muda sudah berada pada titik yang sangat mengkhawatirkan. Moralitas bangsa ini sudah lepas dari norma, etika, agama, dan budaya luhur. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas model pendidikan nilai berbasis kearifan lokal pada masyarakat penganut kepercayaan Sunda Wiwitan untuk meningkatkan karakter siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Kawali Ciamis. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode R&D (Reasearchand Development) dimana metode ini menekankan pada produk akhir yang dihasilkan dari penelitian. Adapun langkah-langkah metode penelitian R&D adalah (a) potensi dan masalah, (b) pengumpulan data, (c) desain produk, (d) validasi desain, (e) pemakaian desain, (f) ujicoba pemakaian, (g) revisiproduk, (h) uji coba pemakaian, (i) revisi produk, (j) pembuatan produk masal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan model pendidikan nilai berbasis kearifan lokal pada masyarakat penganut kepercayaan Sunda Wiwitan di Dusun Susuru Desa Kertajaya Kecamatan Panawangan, sangat efektif dan layak untuk diterapkan melalui integrasi dalam pembelajaran sejarah sehingga siswa mampu memiliki nilai-nilai karakter sebagai berikut: religius, sosial, gotong royong, toleransi, dan peduli terhadap lingkungan untuk diimplementasikan dalam kehidupan sekolah, keluarga, dan masyarakat.Kata kunci : Pendidikan Nilai, Kearifan Lokal, Sunda Wiwitan, Karakter

Background: Currently, Indonesia is entering an era that is all digital and uses technology in all fields of activity. The internet has a lot to do with their behavior or character. Millennials are the nation's next generation. The emergence of the digital era caused by globalization has made the millennial generation less appreciative and practicing the values ​​of Pancasila. In this case, character education is something that must be applied to the millennial generation. Purpose: This study aims to analyze the characteristics of the millennial generation, the role of character education in realizing the values ​​of Pancasila in the daily life of the millennial generation, how to cultivate an attitude of patriotism and nationalism towards the nation by practicing Pancasila, and provide motivation for the millennial generation to realize these values. Pancasila values. Methods: This study uses a literature review method. The search for journals was carried out using the google scholar database with the keywords “Character Education”, “millenial generation”, and “Pancasila”. The journals selected are journals from 2019 to 2020. Results: By applying character education to the millennial generation, it will make it easier for them to practice the values ​​of Pancasila. Pancasila should be the way of life of the millennial generation. Recommendation and limitation: As millennials, we must protect the country from values ​​that are contrary to Pancasila. Character education must be applied following the nature of the millennial generation itself. Of course, the applied character education must prioritize and be based on the values ​​of Pancasila as well.

Abstrak: Pendidikan di pondok pesantren merupakan pendidikan berbasis agama, Pondok Pesantren Ngalah Purwosari Pasuruan merupakan Pesantren Berbasis Multikultural yang memiliki model pendidikan  yang sangat banyak, diantaranya model pendidikan karakter. Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui implementasi pendidikan karakter dengan metode kualitatif,  menggunakan SEM dengan hasil bahwa Keterlibatan orangtua, dukungan teman sebaya, dan dukungan guru, baik secara simultan maupun parsial, berpengaruh positif terhadap religiusitas dalam model pendidikan karakter pada pesantren berbasis multikultural, ponpes Ngalah Purwosari, Kabupaten Pasuruan. Keterlibatan orangtua, dukungan teman sebaya, dukungan  guru, dan religiusitas secara simultan berpengaruh positif terhadap pendidikan karakter dalam model pendidikan karakter pada pesantren berbasis multikultural, ponpes  Ngalah  Purwosari,  Kabupaten  Pasuruan.  Akan  tetapi,  secara  parsial dukungan  guru  terbukti  tidak  berpengaruh  signifikan  terhadap  pendidikan karakter.   Kata Kunci: Model Pendidikan Karakter, Pesantren, Multikultural.   Abstract: Education in Islamic boarding schools is a religion-based education, Pondok Pesantren Ngalah Purwosari Pasuruan is a Multicultural-Based Islamic Boarding School which has very many educational models, so is the character education model. The purpose of this study discusses how to create characters using qualitative methods, using SEM with the results of research on how to support, support peers, and support teachers, both simultaneously and partially, positively support religiosity in the character education model of the boarding school based on multiculturalism, Islamic Boarding Schools Ngalah Purwosari, Pasuruan Regency. On the basis of assistance, peer support, teacher support, and simultaneous support support positive character education in the character education model of a multicultural-based boarding school, Ngalah Purwosari Islamic Boarding School, Pasuruan Regency. However, the partial support of teachers proved to be not significant support for character education.   Keywords : Character Education Model, Islamic Boarding School, Multicultural

This study attempts to evaluate the implementation of character education at pesantren Darul Ma’rifat Sumber Cangkring Gurah Kediri. Using qualitative approach, this study presents a natural and objective illustration of the problem. The data are analyzed based on inductive qualitative analysis. The analysis comes up with the conclusion that: 1) the implementation of character education at the Pesantren Darul Ma’rifat starts from the formulation of the objective of pesantren and then implemented through discipline to the students on their daily life. 2) The effectiveness of the implementation of character education can be seen from the structure of discipline implemented in this institution through several stratifications that exist in this institution that can be carried out effectively. Key Word: evaluation, character education

The purpose of this study was to examine how the management of character education based on the five souls at Pondok Pesantren Darul Muttaqien Bogor. The method used in this research is descriptive method which aims to describe and describe the phenomena in the field, namely scientific phenomena. The results showed that the five souls as the foundation for character education in Islamic boarding schools contain five values, including the value of sincerity, simplicity, independence, ukhuwah Islamiyah, and the value of freedom. Where these five values must be practiced as much as possible so that the students become strong and tough Muslim personalities like buildings that have a solid foundation, and for those who can practice them well, it will be easy to meet the future as well as possible.

The more the spirit of study of the Qur'an is increasing, so the spirit of studying the Qur'an is never lost, For that, learning knowledge about the Qur'an should be given to all students, ranging from the level of childhood to they mature later. On the other hand, character education that is currently being promoted and developed by the government is an education that prioritizes the behavior of good morality. The education of this character emerges and rises to the surface is a reaction to the advancement of pedagogig (education) naturalistic and instrumentalism. al-Qur'an that in essence already covers the whole aspects of life, including also the education, so that can be interpreted by studying the Qur'an means the same as improving the character of each child itself. The phenomenon in Madrasah Diniyah in his learning process emphasizes more on religious teaching sessions, as well as the education of the Qur'an, and as the pattern of association of students, that they are in daily life more prioritizes the manners that is already one of the characteristics of has in character education . For that, at a glance the authors assume that character education is an application of education of the Qur'an that they have learned so far.

ABSTRACT: Women have important role in process build the child’s character in the family based on their domestic role. The important things in this process are the power knowledge of women about child’s character education. This study seeks the connection of women, family, career and the process to build child’s character of career women. It concludes that women have dominant participant in this process although they are working. Because of their participant as basic morality of children, the role of mother is more important than institutions (school and society). So, the power of knowledged woman is active and reactive discourses in this process. They get their knowledge from the academy, the experience of themselves or their mothers, the parenting education, daily life knowledge about child’s education, CD, newspaper or internet information, and commercial break.
